Okay, but can we trust any of the Gym Leaders? Sorry if I sound paranoid, but Iris and Clay are — or at least were — both on 'M's side. What if he's gotten Elesa and Skyla while we were occupied?

- I put my backpack on, let Unite sit on my shoulder, before helping Ribbons climb onto Artemis' back -

So, we'll stop by the gym to ask if Elesa and Skyla would like to participate in the rescue mission and then we'll get going.

- I look over at Crewe -

I don't think so. I believe they have been guarding Clay's Excadrill, so unless it escaped again they're probably safe.

So, have you heard anything about the Pokemon Musicals here yet?

I'm here. And I've come to the conclusion that the best solution is to simply not assign genders to them at all. It's an irrelevant detail for beings that don't reproduce as far as we know, anyway. But that's just me.

It's WAY too late to retcon that now Anom. And besides, even with animals that don't reproduce Gender is a measure of behavior, and how feminine or masculine someone acts.

Elesa: (notices us as we enter the gym) Oh, you're back. We've been keeping an eye on Excadrill.

Skyla: So, do you need our help with something?

- We explain the plan to them -

Skyla: Sure! I'll help out! I'll go ahead to Anville town and wait for rest of you there!

- Skyla sends out her Unfeazent before running outside and flying off to Anville town -

Elesa: I think I'll stay here, but I wish you all good luck.

So now we're 3 for female, and 3 for neither. We need Pentigan to weigh in. Jane. it's possible for something to be so far removed from human concepts such as gender that they do not apply anymore.

Physical gender doesn't necessarily effect behavior, depending on the species. In humans, a lot of that is from the imposing of societal norms. I don't know what Virizion is supposed to be, so I can't tell how gender would effect it. But if you want it to be female it's not in my power to stop you. Especially since you seem to be voicing Virizion.

I've taken good care to make Virizion gender-neutral in speech patterns. Calling Rebecca "Princess" could either be Him being a casanova or Her being affectionate.

Or condescension. Don't forget condescension! I'm kidding, of course.
