<Nadia: "Let's do this! Hit him with everything that you've got Lake! I'm taking a page from what we did together up against that freak in Opelucid!">

-Uses heightened speed to attempt a hit-and-run Dragon Claw on Ho-Oh-

So... those eggs contain... wow. I don't think the other me ever got a chance to see them in person...

OT

Basket: <I see an island up ahead... is that the one Tagg's on?>

GPS coords are about right...

-Drops down right where the others are-

Lake: <Got it, Nadia!>

-Before Ho-oh can recover, Lake and Nadia fly past, the latter slashing him with Dragon Claw and the former slamming him hard with an Ice Punch, freezing his wing over slightly in the process.-

Ho-oh: -Screeches loudly.- DARN! These two...they work so well together. -Smiles.- Not that I was expecting any less...

-Spinning around, the bird forms an orb of Solar energy in his beak, then fires it at the two in the form of a Solarbeam.-

Lake: <UH-OH! Better move, Nadia!>

-Watching the beam come barreling at them-

<Nadia: "AH!">

-Attempts to dodge, but quickly realizes that this is an impossibility for both of them and throws up a Protect, but is still driven back by the force of the beam-

<Nadia: "WHOA!">

Um, I have no idea. It's supposed to get here soon, but—

-boat suddenly appears from absolutely nowhere-

AAAH!

-regains composure-

...What.

Diesel: <That was...strange.>

Breeze: <Ooh! I wanna do that!>

Salamence: <...How did that—>

Jab: <Whoa.>

Lake: <WAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!>

-Lake hangs on for dear life, trying not to get thrown of Nadia's back.-

Ho-oh: I'm impressed. These two are incredibly hard to land a hit on. But not hard enough...

-Crackling with electricity, the legendary bird launches a Thunderbolt at the two.-

Lake: <WHOA!>

-Thankfully, Lake's bubble shield absorbs the hit, but ends up popping in the process, covering Lake with soapy water.-

Lake: -Blinks, then shakes the water off.- <Well, that's that.>

Ho-oh: Perfect.

-The bird prepares the launch another Thunderbolt, when Lake notices that the sunlight has returned to normal, however briefly.-

Lake: <Now's our chance!>

-Lake breathes in, then exhales a torrent of Water at the legendary, dealing a large amount of damage and briefly causing Ho-oh's flight to falter.-

Ho-oh: ARGH!

AU Shinjo

-looks at the eggs-

So I guess We just have to hatch these eggs now?

I can't Believe we're responsible for Raising Legendaries..

Ari: -Uses gust- <Back off, I'm not telling you who has it!>

-is hit with gust- <AGH! Wait, I thought you didn't know?!>

Ari:< Darn it!> -uses gust again- <Ok, I saw the guy who has it, Or rather, his pokemon form, but I'm not telling!>

-Aims a Spark at Ari, but is hit with gust again-

<WAAAH!> -Is knocked back-

<........> -Starts to glow-

-Ho-oh shakes some of the water off, his feathers now drenched, bit quickly drying. The bird recovers in time to see the two attempting another hit and run attack.-

Ho-oh: Sorry, but that won't work twice with me.

-Using his Psychic abilities, Ho-oh lanches an Extrasensory attack at Lake and Nadia in the hope of temporarilly scrambling their senses.-

Lake: <What the-? AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!!>

-Nadia is stunned and falls out of the sky-

-Struggling to her feet-

<Nadia: "Nngh... Ow... Are you okay, Lake?">

-Aside-

<Teala: "Oh no!">

<Thog: "Well hey, they're up against a god!">

Dear sweet arceus it took a long time to get through my first battle with you Phanpy.

Phanpy: <I-I am sorry.>

Sigh... I never knew you were shy and stuff...

-Looks at the eggs-

Yeah, I guess so.

-gets on the boat and sits down in the corner-

-Eltenios and Vinollo remain behind looking at the scene, marveled at the presence of Arceus-

"Are these...?"

"Ugh... my head..."

"What the * are we... seeing?"

-Vinollo, being weak to psychic powers and illusions, shakes himself up, and then furtively moves forwards as he notices the Eggs that weren't there-

-While Eltenios is watching from afar respectfully, Vinollo has used his offscreen teleportation and Ninja abilities to simply get into the scene with the Trainers and calmly walk around getting a closer look at the Eggs, pretty much unnoticed-

Ho-oh: Time to finish this.

-Ho-oh engulfs himself in rainbow flames.-

Ho-oh: You two fight so well together! It's as if you're in perfect sync...Wait, you ARE in perfect sync!

Lake: <Huh?>

Ho-oh: You've done well so far...but I doubt you'll be able to endure this next move!''

Woolly: <Oh, no! That's Scared Fire! It's his most powerful attack!>

Treeo: <I hate to say it, but it looks like this is over...>

Pleo: <No, it can't be! They're not finished yet! COME ON, LAKE! COME ON, NADIA!>

Lake: <Okay...We can get through this. Somehow. There's got be a way. Wait...>

-Lake notices that Ho-oh hasn't bothered to use Sunny Day again, and that also, the last time he had fought against Ho-oh, he had just barely managed to push back his Sacred Fire attack with his own Hydro Cannon move.

...Perhaps, without the sun shining, he could do it more easily. And since he had Nadia, he wouldn't have to be worried about being vulnerable while recharging. Plus, it seemed like it would be the only way to survive this next attack.

He would need help, though.-

Lake: <Nadia, I'm going to use Hydro Cannon to stop his Sacred Fire from hitting us. While I do that, I want you to hit him with everything you have, okay? Oh! Here we go!>

-Ho-oh finishes charging, then creates a HUGE ball of rainbow flames, then sends it careening at the two.-

Lake: <Here goes nothing.>

-The Feraligatr opens his jaws wide, the launches an immesnse deluge if water at the rainbow flames, the tow attacks meeting in mid-air and begining to push against each other, large clouds of steam being formed as the water boils as it's heated by the flames.-

Lake: <Come on, Lake! You can do this!>

We're setting up camp here for the night.

-In the cloud of steam-

-While furiously spamming Dragon Dance-

-Thinking-

<Nadia: "This is it... If we can't beat him here, we probably can't beat him at all...">

<Nadia: "WE'RE NOT GOING DOWN THAT EASILY!">

-Uses a heavily boosted Dragon Claw on Ho-Oh before retreating back into the clouds of steam-

-Ho-oh screeches in shock as Nadia slashes him with a full power Dragon Claw, just as Lake manages to enxtingish the Sacred Fire attack with his Hydro Cannon, sending the remaining water to the source of the move.-

Ho-oh: -Eyes go wide.- Oh dear.

-The attack hits the bird hard, enough to knock the bird out of the air and down to the ground.-

"OH!"

Woolly: <WHOA!>

Pleo: <COOL!>

Treeo: <No way...>

Harriet: <Did they just-?>

Chord: <Nah, they can't of...Did they?>

Guardé: <Wow...>

-Lake drops to all fours, panting heavily from the attack, but keeping an eye on Ho-oh.-

Lake: <...Did we?>

-The Legendary bird tries to raise his head...-

Ho-oh: Urgh...
