The Reef - Kelp Fields

Pleo: <...And this is where we grow food for the vegetarian Pokémon that live here!>

-All of us are currently being shown around the important parts of the Reef by Pleo. Right now, he's showing us the vast fields of Kelp and other plants that are being grown to help feed all of the herbivorous Pokémon that make their homes here.-

Chord: <Doesn't Kelp grow anywhere, though? Why would you need to farm it?>

Pleo: <Well, it's a safety thing, really. Since we grow all the Kelp that we eat here, nomon has to leave the Reef and risk getting eaten by a nasty Sharpedo or something!>

Chord: <Oh. That makes sense.>

Stratus: <Do you grow anything else here?>

Pleo: -Nods.- <Yep, we sure do! Come and look at this...>

-Pleo shows us to a rather small field of a strange silvery-blue weed.-

Woolly: <Ooh, what a pretty seaweed! I've never seen anything like it before, what is it?>

Pleo: <Ah, this is a patch of bubble weed!>

Treeo: -Tilts his head.- <Bubble Weed?>

Woolly: <Oh, you said our scarves were made out of this stuff, right?>

Pleo: -Nods.-<Yep! Well remembered, Woolly!>

Gene: <Hmm...There isn't much here. Isn't there any more?>

Pleo: -Shakes his head.- <Nope. It's a really rare plant, and it's really hard to grow properly. The gardeners around here said that it's something to do with planting them in the right sand and giving them a lot of sunlight. If the conditions aren't right, they won't grow at all.>

Harriet: <I'm guessing that's the reason why more Pokémon don't have bubble scarves, then?>

Pleo: <Yeah. They're really hard to get hold of, normally. I was only able to get hold of some for you guys because the reef Pokémon worship me.>

Chord: <So...You just have to ask, and they'll give you anything you want?> -Smirks.- <Heh. Lucky you.>

Pleo: <Yeah...> -Looks a bit sad.- <Having all the stuff I really want is nice. But...>

Lake: -Looks concerned.- <But?>

Pleo: -Shakes his head, perking up again.- <Nah, it's fine! Don't worry. Okay, let's move on! I've still got some really cool stuff to show you guys...>

-Pleo swims onwards to the next part of the tour, everyone else following but Lake, who hangs back briefly. Nadia, noticing this, swims back to see what's the matter.-

Nadia: <Lake, are you alright?>

Lake: <...Huh? Oh, yeah. I'm okay.> -Swims over to Nadia.- <Come on, let's catch up with the others.>

Nadia: <Oh. Alright then.>

-The two head off to catch up with everyone else.-

-Near one of the plaza's battlegrounds, I am preparing Dintel for the next battle. Algira and Copahue are nearby, giving Shahinne some advice and cuddlying her-

Dintel (scratches ears) — <...So I can use Rollout all right?>

— Yes, Dintel, but don't just wildly go for it. You have to Defense Curl before, for safety. Now... let us check your claws...

-Copahue is demonstrating Shahinne how to use her wings to slap an opponent mid-fly and gain some speed in the process-

- DS hears Odette and Tulip giggling in the background. She wonders what it is, and where the noise is coming from, but it doesn't seem to be enough to wake her up -

-Up in a palm tree-

Aipom: <Hey, I can see my base from here!>

-He sees Anom and DS hugging in their sleep-

Aipom: <Woosh!>

-He takes a picture with a camera that had washed up-

-Back down in the sand pit-

-I mumble something before moving my face in closer to DS's-

- Odette and Tulip are giggling somewhat louder now, DS tries to ignore it -
