[OT] Before the Bell Tower

-We look around at the place, with the sages and guarding League officers going around-

-to Maekrite-

— Well? How do we get to the top? I'm gonna need a very, very good excuse...

????!Maekrite (looking at the empty air above) — <Can't you say it's for research?>

-Meanwhile Shahinne looks up at the impressive structure-

— I doubt even that's gonna work...

Shahinne (happily chirping) — <It's soooooo taaaaaall! Can I fly to it?>

— No, Shahinne... stay with me, please.

Shahinne — <Awwww...>

-I cross my arms-

— You can explore around when we reach the top.

-Maekrite looks at me for a moment and smiles-

— ...Perhaps we can try being nice, for once.

- Walks over to my computer to check on where I can obtain some Berry Pots so I can plant berries even when not in regions where there is the right soil to do so -

... Johto? How convenient. In addition to some apricorn balls, I should try to pick up some Berry Pots as well while I'm there.

- Continues looking up some things on the PC while Briar Rose is talking with Wolf -

[OT] Bell Tower

-I pick some random instruments from my backpack, with Maekrite intently looking-

Shahinne — <Oh! Lots of shiny objects~!> — gets into the bag.

-I walk to one of the sages-

— Hey, sir! I'm Silent, from PEFE.

Sage Koji — Oh, yes. What do you need?

— Well... I was just doing some fact checks and wanted to know how tall this tower is.

Sage Koji — Oh, the sacred tower? It's... It's... — turns to other sages — Guys? How tall is this place?

-The other sages gather around and after a brief discussion they decide no one truly knows how tall the tower is-

— Would you mind if I go to the top floors to check?

Sage Koji — To the Altar? No way. It's a sacred place and only someone chosen by Ho-Oh can go to the summit.

????!Maekrite — <Hey, here!> — raises paw.

-I turn to him, interested, but he doesn't look at me. The sage simply ignores him, not understanding-

— Hmmmm... I see... — produces the item from the backpack — And what if in exchange I give you this nifty barometer?

Bell Tower Roof

Ho-oh: They've come. Just as I knew they would.

-The majestic bird smiles to himself.-

Ho-oh: Now then, Silent and Maekrite, let's cement your rightful places in history...

-Ho-oh lands on the roof of the tower, the ancient structure shaking slightly upon the great bird touching down, then let's out a majestic cry to signal his arrival.-

-Sunny hops off the computer and walks over to Kensei-

Sunny: <What are you doing?>

Kensei: <Training.>

Sunny: <Looks like fun.>

Base of the Tower

-The sages go into a frenzy as the cry of Ho-Oh is heard from above-

"Oh Ho-Oh!"

"He's here!"

"What do we do what do we do what do we do what do we do???"

— Maekrite, is this your doing?

-Maekrite sighs-

-As the sages get distracted calling on some other people to put up some robes and light some candles and call the Kimono Girls and stuff, Maekrite makes a gesture for me to follow, then runs ahead the stairs-

What the heck, Maekrite?

-I turn around, and seeing that the League Officers are starting to make some calls too, I decide to follow Maekrite, who is already running four or five floors ahead of us-

Top of the Tower, 5 minutes later

????!Maekrite — <I did it... I'm here!>

-Maekrite leaps past the last steps of the stairs and reaches the Altar, where Ho-Oh is waiting-

-Maekrite walks to stand before Ho-Oh and sits-

????!Maekrite — <You remember me, Sun God? I-I have been sent to seek you.>

-Shahinne reaches the Altar too, flying, and perches on a random stick. She looks amazed at the incredible gamut of colors Ho-Oh displays-

Kensei: <It is hard work, but I enjoy it.>

Kensei: <...What do you enjoy?>

Sunny: <Oh, me? I like to write stories.>

Kensei: <What sort of stories?>

Ho-oh: -Smiles.- Of course I remember you, Maekrite.

-The great bird politely bows to the Nidorino.-

Ho-oh: It is a pleasure to see you here, at last. I'm sure you're aware of why you are here?

-Felis walks over to Sunny and Kensei-

Felis: <He writes the most deranged romance stories. He's probably pairing you off with someone in his head right now.>

Sunny: <Am not! How would you know that?>

Felis: <Because it's what you do.>

[Kamina]: [HOROSHO! LETS DO THIS! DAVAI!]

-Kamina places Sasha on his head as he donates a berry to the Tree of Wishes-

[Kamina]: [Will see Sasha when wake up! See Sasha soon!]

-Kamina leaves the Tree of wishes and returns to his Dream Cottage, where he starts harvesting berries-

-Sol has landed in Ecruteak, Johto as a stop off point to Hoenn-

Take a rest Stella... We may be nearly there, but we still have a long way to go..

.+Stella+: +Okay Sol...+

-Sol recalls Stella as she starts to wander the streets of Ecruteak, looking for a place to stay-

????!Maekrite (bows back) — <I... I'm not fully sure to be honest. I heard a message, it felt like I had always know it.>

-Shahinne approaches the altar and very shyly sits besides Maekrite, looking at Ho-Oh with her eyes almost popping out from the surprise. She barely manages to contain herself enough to let her instinct dictate her to bow-

Shahinne — <A... A god Pokémon? Bird like my Dad...>

-Meanwhile I reach the end of the stairs-

— Maekrite? What is...?

Ho-Oh? He's back, right, but...

????!Maekrite — <The message said, Sun God, that those who had fought in your name had to seek the Morning Sun.> — raises his head — <That's why I'm here, yes.>

Felis: <Let's put it this way. He's paired me up with a bloodthirsty Salamence.>

Sunny: <Nadia is not bloodthirsty.>

Felis: <She might as well be.>

Kensei: <Perhaps...perhaps you could show me your stories, sometime?>

Sunny: <Oh, that would be great!

Um, can you read, though?>

Ho-oh: -Notices Shahinne, then smiles at her.- Aww, what an adorable little Starly... -To Maekrite.- Ah, yes. You seek the Morning Sun. Just as your ancestor did before you.

But it is no wonder that you have that memory, Maekrite. All of us carry the memories of our ancestors in our hearts. But...It takes a truly special heart to make them your own.

-The great bird notices Silent come on to the roof, and silently nods at him to acknowledge his presence.-
