Bill: <Hey, don't worry! I'm sure we'll find a way...>

Treeo: <Yeah, he may be rather "Haxxy", but he's not invincible. I bet if we pounded on him long enough, he'd go down like a sack of bricks!>

Woolly: -Is petting a Nidoran.- <Plus he did have all of those Pokémon with him. That didn't help...>

Nidoran: <Ear tips, please.>

Cinder: -Is shivering uncontrollably.- <So many Nidos! It's happening again!>

Flare: <You should have let me have a go at him! I doubt he could take being set on fire without flinching!>

Wulfric: <I don't know, Flare. He just might...>

Flare: <...> -Crosses her arms.- <Hmph.>

We've got to try again, though. We can't let him take our home! We just can't!

Lake: -Nods.- <I know...We have to show that Serperior that he can't just march in here and take our Region without a fight! I don't care how long it takes, we're going to drive him out! One way or another...>

-Fool and her companions wander around the streets of Golderod. Dipping, ducking and weaving their way through the streets in hope that they won't get caught by anyone-

Then, about a dozen Nidorino and Nidarina emerge from several different hiding places, pointing their horns at Fool's Pokémon.-

Nidorino: <You there, with the human! State your business here!>

-Fool and her Pokemon jump-

^Cuddlekins^: ^We mean no harm!^

<Michelle>: <We came here to help!>

.+Stella+: +We seriously don't want to cause any trouble!+

We came by the Crixa. Elil hrair, though now we wish shelter...

<Michelle>: <What is she saying?>

^Cuddlekins^: ^That is the tongue spoken by the Nidoran lines! She must have picked up a few words from Rose!^

<Michelle>: <Rose?>

.+Stella+: +One of the Midori Room heads. She's a Nidoqueen.+

Sparq: (is riding on Velvet's back along with Silvermist) <Yeah, I'll say.>

-Steven moors the submarine in the river near the desert between Castelia and Nimbasa City.

-at Tracer's house, Lanius smashes through the front door, flanked by an Absol, Drapion, Honchkrow, Houndoom, Bisharp, and Hydreigon-

-Lanius slices Sunny in half with a keratin blade-

-Lanius points the blade at Mezzo-

Lanius: <Now then, I give you a choice. Join us and serve our lords, or die just like that Espeon did. What will you do?>

-Mezzo faintly hears a voice that sounds very similar to her own, laughing-

I saw Lanius approach me, and he asked me to either join him or die. Sunny tried to fight him and he was sliced in half. Then he pointed his sword at me and I said...

I said yes. I would join him. ...Does this mean that I'm a bad person?

And I heard the other me too. She said that she and I were just the same...

-shivers slightly at the idea of Sunny being cut in half-

I never would've thought that here would become a battlefield, but here we are.

Lanius: -To a frightened Staravia- <What do you mean the Pallet invasion was defeated by one trainer and six mons?>

Lanius: -Picks up the Staravia by the throat- <Tell Vulpes to ready his troops for the capture of Vermilion. With that city captured we can bring in even more troops to bring this profligate region under our control. Tell other troops to prepare for the invasion of Fuchsia as well.>

Staravia: <Y-Yes sir.>

-Flies off to give the battle orders-

Desert Resort

-A group of Desert Pokémon bearing the insignia of Celestia's guard Patrol the dunes, keeping an eye out for anything suspicious.-

Patrol!Scrafty: <...And then Reshiram - THE Reshiram - came out of the sky and did this great big roar! It was incredible! Her feathers were so white, and so fluffy looking too!>

Patrol!Krokorok: <No kidding. If that Braviary brings her back again...Maybe I could ask her for a hug?>

Leader!Krookodile:''' -Rolls his eyes.- <Guys, we're supposed to be professionals...>

Patrol!Krokorok: <...Oh. My bad.>

Patrol!Sigilyph: <ALERT! I'm picking up life-signs just over that dune!>

Leader!Krookodile: <How many?>

Patrol!Sigilyph: <Six of them, sir!>

Leader!Krookodile: <Right. It better not be more victims of those awful Ducklett. Everymon to the top of the dune!>

-The patrol stealthily works their way to the peak of the sand dune. The Krookodile then uses his binocular eyes to zoom in, spotting DS' Sinnoh Team ahead.-

Leader!Krookodile: <Targets identified. Funny...The majority of those Pokémon are Sinnoh mons.>

Patrol!Crustle: <Perhaps they're refugees?>

Patrol!Scrafty: <Why would they come to Unova though, of all places?>

Leader!Krookodile: <You're right. Perhaps they're lost...>

Patrol!Sigilyph: <Shall we make our presence known?>

Leader!Krookodile: -Nods.- <We shall.> -To DS' team.- <HEY! YOU DOWN THERE!>

Apparently the guy who's Pokemon that Honchkrow was shaking down happened to be making some sort of behavior altering serum. What kind I don't know.

Wings: <... Do we ignore them and keep going?>

Briar Rose: <What if they can help us?>

HotStuff: (shouts up to the Pokémon) <What do you want? We don't want to get involved in that battle between those bad Pokémon ruling the world and the Resistance, if you guys are on either side of that! We have more important things to do!>

Briar Rose: (shouts up to them as well) <You wouldn't happen to by any chance know where we could find any trainers that can understand our speech, would you?>

HotStuff: (whispers to Briar Rose) <Rose, I doubt these guys can help us with that.>

Briar Rose: (whispers back) <But what if they can? We could use some help, you know.>
