-in Sunny's cell, Shadow is talking to a very bruised and battered Sunny-

Shadow: <Why do you keep making me do this to you, Sunny? Just tell me what you know, and then I can stop.>

Sunny: <Not making you do anything...you're the one making the decision to hurt me.>

Shadow: <What does it take to make you understand, brother? I don't want to do this, but I have no other choice.>

Sunny: <Then stop.>

Shadow: <And then they'll throw me into the cell right next to yours! That is why I can't stop. Don't you get it?>

???: <Just kill him. You're not going to get any information out of that one. And it's tiresome listening to you two repeat the same exchange over and over.>

-Felis walks into view-

Shadow: <What are you doing here?>

Felis: <Well, so this is where you've been. The commander has been wondering about your absence.>

Shadow: <If you tell her anything I'll...>

Felis: <You'll what? You'll be locked up just like your brother, that's what.>

Shadow: <You wouldn't.>

Felis: <Right. I won't, for now. Because it amuses me.>

Felis: -in an imitation of Shadow's voice- <"Oh my dear brother, it hurts me so much to do this!">

-Shadow growls at Felis-

Sunny: <Leave him alone.>

Felis: <What? As if you have any authority to speak, traitor.>

Sunny: <He's not going against orders. You were trying to capture me, were you not?>

Shadow: <That's right. The orders were to bring him here dead or alive.>

Felis: <Fine then. You two can have your fun.> -walks off-

-Cerberus and her battalion have set up a wooden barricade blocking the entrance to Undella Town-

Cerberus: <Let's see them try and break through this!>

-Cerberus uses Flamethrower on the barricade, setting it ablaze-

Random Houndoom #1: <Uh, sir? Did we really need to set it on fire?>

Cerberus: <What? You never ask if you need to set anything on fire. Fire solves everything.>

-A few hours prior-

-After using portals to cover a large portion of the pit with orange gel-

-Shaun runs across the body of orange gel at a greatly accelerated pace-

<Shaun: "AM I GETTING FASTER?!">

<Vesta: "It looks like you are!">

"... Okay, we're supposed to use the gel... But how?"

-Iron Marrow is watching disinterestedly-

<Iron Marrow: "... You can have fun with your orange glop, I'm doing something else.">

-Shoots a blue portal against the glass wall, and an orange portal against the lateral wall of the alcove and begins to brood-

"... Maybe we've been going about this wrong..."

<Vesta: "What are we supposed to do then?">

<Shaun: "... Maybe we're supposed to do something with this gel up there...">

-Casts a blue portal under the pipe dripping orange gel and an orange portal along the side of the glass partition, next to Iron Marrow's blue portal-

-As the gel begins to fan out and accumulate-

<Vesta: "Oh.... But... How is that useful?">

<Iron Marrow: "WHAT IS THIS VILE DAMP SENSATION?!">

-Vesta and I turn and notice orange gel starting to leach into the alcove via Iron Marrow's set of portals-

"..."

<Iron Marrow: "WHAT?!">

<Vesta: "Actually... I think that could be useful... It's just that I don't know where to go next with that...">

<Shaun: "Wait, what was with that video feed earlier?">

"... I didn't notice it..."

<Iron Marrow: "Please, as if it was important...">

<Vesta: "I think that it was important... Silent and a Pokemon were collapsing in it...">

"What?! Were they okay?! Why didn't you guys say something earlier?!"

<Vesta: "I didn't know whether or not to trust it...">

<Shaun: "... We need to hurry up and figure out how to get out of here!">

-Now, in a pen-

-Nadia and Vlad have been up for about half an hour, and have been spamming stat-upping attacks-

<Vlad: "Alright! NOW!">

<Nadia: GRRRRAAAAAAAAWWWWWRRRRRR!>

-Nadia uses Dragon Claw while Vlad uses Earthquake, causing the partition between their pens and the walls around them to develop several large cracks-

<Vlad: "Are you okay, Nadia?">

-Slightly dazed from Vlad's tremors-

<Nadia: "Yeah... I think I am... Ooh... Pretty Swablu...">

<Vlad: "Again!">

-The two repeat their attacks, with the wall now missing chunks from it-

<Nadia: "We're almost there!">

<Vlad: "Once more!">

-The two use their paired attacks a third time... And finally destroy the wall-

<Nadia: "Can the room stop spinning now, please?">

<Vlad: "... Sorry...">

-Regaining her bearings-

<Nadia: "Unh... Wait... So we should do that to one of the doors...? But which one...?">

<Vlad: "We should go with mine, just look at it!">

-Points at the wall surrounding the opening to Vlad's pen, which is heavily cracked-

<Nadia: "OUT OF MY WAY, DOOR!">

-Uses Dragon Claw on the wall with the door, and causes it to crumble, allowing the two to escape-

<Vlad: "Come on, we need to find the others!">

-The two run into and down a corridor-

-Now-

-Back in the testing chamber-

<Shaun: "... Are you sure about this, Tracer?">

"No. But it's the only thing that we've been able to come up with in the last 6 hours..."

<Vesta: "... What if someone gets hurt though?">

<Iron Marrow: "You didn't expect that the human would be the one to carry this out? I will. My body is not pathetically feeble for one... I doubt that your human could have gotten up were he the one that ran into that wall earlier...">

"... I guess that we should get started then..."

-Casts a pair of portals along the sides of the alcove, which has had its floor covered in orange gel-

"Go ahead, Iron..."

<Iron Marrow: "Out of my way...">

-Begins to run between the two portals, building up speed-

<Shaun: "Is it working?">

-While running progressively faster between the two portals-

<Iron Marrow: "WHAT DO YOU THINK SHEEP?">

<Vesta: "It looks like it, Shaun!">

"... We've could have only one shot at this, are you ready, Iron?"

<Iron Marrow: "Just hurry up, human!">

-Casts an orange portal high up on a lateral facing wall just as Iron Marrow exits the one from the alcove-

-Having thought about it for a while, I eventually figure out a solution.

Placing a portal on the floor under the pipe, then on each of the ledges in turn, I managed to coat them in Repulsion Gel, which allows me to bounce up to the exit.-

Whoa! That was...Exhilarating...Kind of like Skyla's Gym, expect without the "Getting fired right into a wall" part.

-I head into the next room.-

-A has been hiding in Unova for days now, luckily having passed the area of Black City. Keeping her cover as low as it would be in Johto where she was the most notorious, she and Weavile attempt to talk.-

I've been thinking, Weavile... is there any way we could try our initial plan again?

Weavile: No. I don't want to be held responsible for murder just so we can mess with them.

There is that...but I have an idea. If we tried one more time, in a new place, maybe we could change some things...

Weavile: And how do we go about doing that?

Simple...more pretending that I have a sick and twisted mind even if I can't kill to prove it.

Weavile: That didn't work the first time!

It could... But either way, our main priority is locating a way to break into the main base. It's probably littered with traps, but not like a dungeon can hold us.

Weavile: They probably have some torture methods that would turn you into a pitiable, tragic mess. But we're too unbreakable for that. So, when do we try to find out where new recruits are supposed to be?

As soon as possible. Let's get a move on.

-they leave unseen-

Let's see... We started the Alternate Timeline arc last week, and since then...

The Resistance's main base was destroyed and the Resistance has now re-located to the Entralink.

Some of the trainers and some Pokémon regained their memories. And due to some time tunnels near the Cubone tribe in Sinnoh, there are a few Pokémon that there are two of.

Lake and Cinder (Luke's Typhlosion) don't get along too well.

Anom is being held a prisoner in Icirrus City, and the Seimitoad guarding his cell is a big jerk.

Fool is working for Artemis and Scolipede, and has just succeeded in defeating a smaller Resistance base in Pinwheel forest, while her Emboar (who wishes to take control of Unova from Scolipede and Artemis) has gone behind her back and killed a bunch of Pokémon working for them, framing her for the murders.

Some of the Zoroark Gym Leaders have been exposed, Wolf lost an eye while dealing with one of them.

Tagg, Tangent, Silent, Luke and Wolf are currently trapped by an evil A.I, forcing them to do a bunch of Portal-esque stuff...

Daisy nearly got herself killed on a few occasions by teleporting into dangerous locations.

I occasionally show DS' thoughts, but not where she is or what her current situation is.

Gamer has been working for the Greedy Golurk, but has recently regained his memories and his original personality.

Mezzo's Umbreon Sunny is an Espeon in the alternate timeline, and joined the Resistance in hopes of convincing Mezzo (who like Fool, is also working for Scolipede and Artemis) to turn back to the side of good, but was captured by his brother and brought back to Black City, where he is now held prisoner.

Slouch is an NPC, and is stuck somewhere...

So, the trainers who have regained their memories so far are: Tagg, Luke, Tracer, Silent, Gamer, Daisy and Straw. (if I'm forgetting someone, let me know)

That is pretty much all I can think of.

-Iron Marrow passes through the emitter field, which closes up the two portals on the alcove, and hastily shoots a pair along the slanted ramp past it-

-And enters one... And is shot out the other portal through the emitter field again, closing the pair of portals that she created-

<Iron Marrow: "HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?!">

-Tumbles to a stop against a metal plate on the ledge on the opposite side of the glass partition-

<Vesta: "It worked!">

<Iron Marrow: "Congratulations, you got me up there, now how about the rest of you numbskulls?">

"... Fire a set of portals! If we can reach wherever you put the blue one, you can always have us come out from that plate behind you!"

-Iron Marrow casts an orange portal on the plate behind her, and another on the floor of the pit-

<Shaun: "Here I go!">

-Jumps into blue portal, and comes out orange portal, landing on his back-

<Shaun: "OOF!">

"Shaun!"

<Vesta: "You made it!">

<Shaun: "... Now we just need you two to come here.">

-Hastily casts a set of portals leading to the pit, and enters them with Vesta, before entering Iron Marrow's portals-

<Vesta: "... So now what?">

"Next room, I guess..."

Especially since we know that at least one of the two field medic Audino we sent with the Pinwheel group has been killed in action.> (thinks for a moment) <I believe there is at least one Audino with the younger members of the resistance. Maybe we should ask one of the Pokémon training the younger ones to give him some extra training so that he may start working with the other Audino?>

Goggles: (shrugs) <Well, as long as you don't push the little guy too hard, I guess.>

Chase: (nods) <Of course not, leader.>

-Makes sure to flip the nearest camera the bird-

Nudi: <What is she going to make us do now?>

Vanilluxe: <Hopefully it has nothing to do with heat.>

Test Chamber 04, earlier that morning

Maekrite (poking my face) — <S-Silent...? Wake up...>

— Oooá​Ooo~​Oooøø... ​Øøoωωωωωωωωωω​ωωωωωωωωωωω​ωωωωωωωω... — I start waking up...

What happened? I remember the turrets and the room being gassed...

-I slowly stand up and try to check myself. My balance is still somewhat iffy and my head hurts. Maekrite is a bit shaken up too, and sniffs me all over-

Maekrite — <I was scared... when I woke up you were there, you were breathing but didn't respond to anything I did...>

— I think I hit my head...

-I brush the back of my head with my hand, but find no blood, just a cut; it still hurts as hell when I touch so I decide to stop doing it, then notice that Maekrite's paws and flank are slightly coated in red... he must have tried to be my pillow or check for a wound myself-

Maekrite (gazes away, to the turrets) — <That thing tried to kill us...>

— For a moment I thought it would succeed... Why are we still here?

-we both shrug-

Maekrite — <It's kinda dark here but I can see we are in an enclosed space... there's a door at the end but it's pretty thick and there are no buttons on it...>

— Then we have to look for another way out.

-I try to move limply; seeing me hurt seems to revitalize Maekrite-

Maekrite (raises paw) — <I can check this entire place! Just wait here!>

-I sit and begin examining the suit and armor; for a quick check I make a swift motion with my arm, causing the needle integrated into the armpad to protrude-

Hmmmm...

-Then I start examining the symbols decorating the armor-

Maekrite (pulling stuff and sniffing around) — <Hustle hustle hustle...!>

-Maekrite starts by going to examine the door, but he isn't tall enough to reach the only object that looks like a panel; he also tries a couple of attacks against it to little effect; then it comes the turn of the turret panels; he angrily leers at them and then starts scratching, biting, pulling and tossing the remains of the machines as well as some wires-

Maekrite — <I can fit through these tubes...!>

-Maekrite goes underground to start examining while I drag myself to the door-

Wonder what the heck is going on... why hasn't this place been cleaned out yet?

-the next room is a large cavern, with many angled surfaces and alcoves; there seem to be four switches that must be simultaneously pressed to trigger the door-

-a blue Excursion Funnel emits from the floor near the entrance-

-enters the funnel, floats up a bit, then swims out and breaks his fall with his Long Fall Boots-

Yeah, there was one of these in the last track I was on. There are also orange ones that pull you in...

Er... what brought you here, Dr. Tagg?

Tracer's Track

Oh boy, Lasers. This'll be fun.

-I take note of the Mirrored Companion Cube, noticing that it's faces are prismatic.-

Ooh, I think I know what to do here.

-I pick the Cube up with my Portal Gun, then hold it in the path of one of the lasers, redirecting the beam to hit the laser receiver. I do this for all the lasers in the room, lowering the platforms so I can reach the door.-

Easy peasy.

-Moves on into the next room.-

Cinder: <Did that stupid computer just call us fat?!>

Lake: <Well it obvious that she's not very nice, Cinder. Come on.>

-Lake and Cinder move into the next room.-

Cinder: <What's all this? Looks complicated.>

Lake: <Hmm...>

-Lake moves over to the control panel. Cautiously, he presses one of the buttons, moving one of the pistons in the maze around.-

Cinder: <The button to open the door is in that maze...>

Lake: <I think one of us is supposed to move the pistons in there so that the other can get to the button.>

Cinder: <...Fine. You stay there and work the pistons, I'll go and hit the button.>

Lake: <Alright.>

-Cinder heads into the maze.-

- At the Entralink -

- Ursaring is watching some of the younger resistance members training amongst themselves, occasionally offering them advice -

Ursaring: <You're doing fine, Munna. Tyrogue, you've got to think before you leap. Petilil, try a little harder, you're almost there...>

- Chase flies over, whispering something to Ursaring and handing him an item -

Ursaring: <... Got it.>

- Chase flies back to check on some of the other resistance members, while Ursaring keeps watching the younger resistance members -

Just wondering, which specific areas in Unova are full of patrols from their army?

-In the testing chamber-

"WHAT?!"

<Shaun: "... Oh boy...">

<Vesta: "... That wasn't serious, was i-">

<Iron Marrow: "... Dragon-slaying what now?">

-Notices a red laser going down an intersecting hallway-

Luke's Course

-the exit door is sealed-

Test protocols dictate that the Companion Cube may not accompany you to the next test. Federal, State, and Local regulations also dictate that the Companion Cube may not be left unaccompanied in the chamber. Therefore, it must be euthanized.

-an incinerator shaft opens up nearby-

Tracer and I got a video feed of the "science" that was being done here, and we decided to come and check it out. We ended up being captured by one of the orange ones, gassed unconscious, and I woke up with Nudi and Vanilluxe here.

-Suddenly a tiny chute opens and the iPhokex drops out-

I guess she couldn't take you.

-Looks at the puzzle-

I guess all four of us have to press a button.

-At the Entralink, the Audino that would be known as Doc in the original timeline is busy hearing the inside of a tree-

-Maekrite goes exploring the wiring pipes of the place. Every once in a while he breaks a floor panel from below, peeks out and looks around funnily, to drop his ears and return to the pipes as he growls a "damn"; but keeps trying nonetheless-

-Meanwhile I have reached the exit door, which looks sealed-

— Probably I had to complete the conditions of the course to open it... that's kinda out of the question now...

-I start checking the wall for anything that looks like a panel, only finding a couple of slots that seem to head to ventilation shafts-

-Maekrite pops out from a panel nearby-

Maekrite — <Can't you just use that swirly thingy portal stuff to get us out of here?>

-I look around-

— Highly doubt it... I can't portal to the outside if I can't shoot to the outside.

Maekrite (flattens an ear) — <Ouch...> — sniffs around — <Can't find anything interesting...>

— Maybe I did. Come here, climb... — Maekrite perches on the shoulderpad — Let's disassemble that vent and examine the circuits there.

-We start working on it, trying to remove the front panel on the wall to reach some wires and circuit boards behind it-

Cinder: <Be careful with those Pistons! You nearly crushed me!>

Lake: -Jokingly.- <Well, that wouldn't be a huge loss...>

Cinder: <Grr...>

-Cinder keeps moving though the maze as Lake manipulates the Pistons, eventually making it to the button in the middle. The Typhlosion steps on it, opening the door to the next room.-

Cinder: <I swear, if we don't get Luke back by the end of this...>

-Cinder exits the maze, then heads into the next room, Lake quickly following.-

Cinder: <...That computer is gonna' pay.>

A: I think just Black City and Undella Town, although Nimbasa's most likely crawling with patrols now. Possibly Icirrus since that's where the prison is.

-is continuing to move boxes, when Nylon lets herself out-

Nylon: <Trainer, what's wrong?>

Nothing.

Nylon: <That's clearly not true. You haven't spoken to us in days.>

Nylon: <There's obviously something wrong.>

- Ursaring watches Doc listening to the tree for a while, before walking over to him -

Ursaring: <... Hear anything interesting in there?>

-In the testing facility-

"... How do we get around that?"

<Iron Marrow: "Like this, feeble human.">

-Quickly darts out into other hallway and attempts to cast her club at the turret-

<Arceus: "I AM TERRIBLY SORRY, I AM CURRENTLY BURIED IN PAPERWORK AT THE MOMENT. SOMEONE THOUGHT IT WOULD BE CUTE TO REWRITE AN ENTIRE TIMELINE ABOUT A "WEEK" AGO. IF YOU DON'T HAVE AN APPOINTMENT, I'M AFRAID YOU'LL HAVE TO WAIT...">

<Guy: "Wait, this could be our major break! We could have Arceus fix everything!">

Wow... you came back to fight... I don't know if I could have done that.

Hmm... Okay, one trick I figured out with these. They go through portals just fine, so if you use floor portals to lift yourself though a transmitted beam, you can then move the portal the funnel enters somewhere else. Then with the beam now cut off, you fall through the floor portal and slingshot out the other. We can probably move around with that... I guess your Vanilluxe can just float?
