<Kit: "Ugh... Maybe we should get her out of here...">

"That might be a good idea... Hmm... Did you want to head out with me to Celadon, Dr. Tagg? I do need to do some shopping for the team..."

Unite: <Oh...I didn't know that.>

-Unite looks sheepish.-

Unite: <Well I guess exploring the Abyssal ruins is not an option. Unless we send somemon from Route 17. Darn it, if only Lake was here.>

-Unite shakes his head.-

Unite: <But that would be far too dangerous.>

-Elesa finally shows up-

-She sends out Emolga-

-Take out June's Pokeball- Let's go, June!

-Shrugs-

Some would argue why you would need to communicate with the dead by throwing bones at people and mons as well, but I digress.

Sunny: <Really? They certainly know about you. You're one of their top targets. Heh, probably alongside me now.>

-Mezzo and her Pokémon are gathered in a circle around the table-

Felis: <So it seems your patrols have failed us yet again. Care to provide me with an explanation?>

Cerberus: <I told them! I told this little rat...> -points at Shadow- <...that we should just burn the whole forest down, but no, you had to go and say it wouldn't work!>

Shadow: <Rat? I am your superior, lieutenant. Don't forget that.>

Enough. The point is, your patrols failed. Shadow, were you training them for jungle warfare as we discussed?

Shadow: <Indeed I was, commander.>

Then why is it not working? Why does the forest not fall?

Shadow: <I could not say, commander.>

Enough is enough. Starting tomorrow, double the amount of patrols sent to Pinwheel Forest. It seems we're not using enough force.

Next. The bird is still on the loose. Reports are coming in that he took out an entire patrol on Route 6 by himself. By. Himself.

Felis: <Are our soldiers really terrible enough to be beaten by a single mon?>

Shadow: <However, it was a Bug patrol. Not one of ours.>

Makes no difference to me. He is still a clear threat. I want the air patrols on the lookout for him.

Nevermore: <He won't be hard to find.>

Dreadwing: <His skull will make a wonderful piece for my collection.>

And there is also the issue of the traitor...

Felis: <We need him found and silenced. All patrols will be on the lookout.>

-Mezzo and Felis walk out of the room-

Shadow: <And remember, when you find the traitor he is to be brought to me and me alone. This is something I'd rather handle personally.>

-the rest of Mezzo's mons nod, and then return to their posts-

Chase: <I guess we will have to focus on organizing teams to investigate the Relic Castle and the Dragonspiral Tower, then.>

Goggles: <Ah, I remember back when I used to live in Route 4... My own siblings used to give me strange looks all the time, but now I'm the leader of the resistance, while they're just...> (pauses) <Hmm... What ever did happen to them, anyways?> (shrugs)

So why were you getting taken by those two?

Zorua:<You can understand me? How?>

I have no clue.

Zorua:<Well I wandered to close to the Entrance to Lostlorn Forest, an area forbidden to the public.>

Why?

Zorua:<I was looking for the entrance to the city so I could join the resistance. I've never left Route 16 in my whole life though, so Ii didn't know where to go.>

I can take you there. What's your name?

Zorua:<That's great! My name is Zero.>

-Memories begin flooding my mind-

Unite: -To Sunny.- <Well of course I know that they know about me. Especially a certain Beedrill commander...They haven't stopped me yet. But after what happened today, I wouldn't be surprised if they started sending more mons after me.

Anyway, I'm going to take this group back to my quarters for until we can sort something more permanent out for them. I shall return later to help coordinate the expeditions to Dragon Spiral and the Relic Castle.>

-Unite salutes Chase and Goggles with his wing, then turns to the group.-

Unite: <Follow me.>

-Now it all made sense. Meganium being back at the lab instead of Silver. Luke having chosen Cyndaquill instead of him. Ho-oh not having come back. The reason this world was different was because it wasn't his world.-

Meganium: -Looks worried.- <Lake, are you okay?>

Lake: <Uh? No...No, not really. But I at least have some idea of what's going on now.>

Meganium: <Oh, okay. What are you going to do now, then?>

Lake: <...I'm going to find Luke. Do you know where he is?>

Meganium: <Well, he's still in Johto, luckily. He came by the lab just a few days ago to visit his family and talk to Elm. I overheard him saying that he was heading to Ecruteak City.>

Lake: <So I should head there, then?>

Meganium: <Well...Not quite. He mentioned that he was going to take the scenic route, rather than flying. Which means he's probably walking. At the rate he's going...I'd say he must in Azalea Town by now.>

-So that was it. Luke was in Azalea Town. A three day trip by walking.

Lake, however, didn't have to walk.-

Lake: <Okay. I'll head there then. I doubt he'll remember who I am. But...I think he's the only one who can possibly help me right now.>

Meganium: <Okay...>

-Meganium places a vine on Lake's shoulder.-

Meganium: <Good luck, Lake. It was so nice to see you again. Even if you might not quite be the Lake I knew.>

-Lake gives Meganium a smile.-

Lake: <It was really nice seeing you again, too.>

-Lake turns to go back out the window.-

Meganium: <Oh, Lake?>

Lake: -Looks back.- <Yeah?>

Meganium: <Um...When you see Luke's Typhlosion...Will you tell him I said hello?>

-Lake pauses for a few seconds, then nods.-

Lake: <I will. Promise.>

<Iron Marrow: "You impudent ape! That is a sacred rite! And a mark of a civilized tribe! Not that you would know that!">

<Kit: "... Her tribe practices Trial by Bonemerang? Like that one tribe on that death island?">

"Hmm... So which of you guys are coming?"

<Vlad: "I will!">

-Gets stared at by all 12 of my AU!Pokemon-

<Vlad: "Um... I mean... If it's not too much trouble...">

"... We need to work something out with you three..."

<Zoe: "Yeah, we're not just moving out of the way for you after years of being with Tracer!">

<Vesta: "But they're also Tracer's Pokemon... Somehow...">

<Shaun: "... Could we follow you even if we're not taking up spots on your team? I mean, I don't think that you even have our Pokeballs on you in this timeline...">

"I suppose that could work... At least until we figure out something better... I'll fish out a few trackers..."

-While digging through a closet-

"So which of you guys are coming?"

<Kammy: "I'll come, Tracer.">

<Vesta: "Same here. I like going out with you.">

-While playing a game that is totally not Armored Core-

<Mike: "Will I get to fight someone?">

"... We're going shopping, Mike."

<Mike: "Are we going to a game shop?">

"... I'm just going to assume that that's a 'no'..."

<Mike: "Alright, then.">

<Jodie: "Ooh! You missed a building! Go back and destroy it! You're not playing the game right unless if the entire map is flat afterwards!">

<Leana: "I'll come. I might just be able to bump into some old friends that way.">

<Buster: "Someone's living vicar- OW!">

-Is pecked by Leana-

<Leana: "Quiet.">

"Well there's one... ... Are Buster and Guy also coming?"

<Buster: "Geez Yeah, I'll come.">

<Guy: "Same here.">

<Kyle: "I swear, it's like you guys are stuck together or something.">

-Has finished fishing out 4 trackers-

"Let's just get these on, and then we'll go."

-Slips one onto Shaun-

<Shaun: "... Never thought I'd be wearing one of these...">

-Realizes something-

<Vlad: "... Wait, so what would have happened if someone had a Pokeball thrown at one of us yesterday?">

<Toothless: "... Oh wow... We really got lucky, didn't we?">

-While getting a tracker put on-

<Nadia: "... Let's not think too hard on that one...">

-While approaching Iron Marrow-

<Iron Marrow: "If that thing touches me, human, I'll crush your skull.">

<Kit: "I'm surprised that a Pokemon that is as leery of being in the presence of humans as you would turn a tracker down... It keeps Pokeballs from working on you. Something that everyone in all of Celadon has...">

<Iron Marrow: "... Fine, I'll humor your bizarre band, human. But this is ONLY for the sake of restoring my tribe...">

-Gets tracker slipped on-

<Iron Marrow: "Why on earth do you and these humans only walk on these gray paths, rube?">

<Kit: "They're sidewalks, and if you don't want to die from getting hit by a car, you'll stay on them.">

-Hermes and Ashes return. I take the money out of their pouches and remove the collars-

Ready to go, Epona?

Epona: <Yes. Where to?>

Cherrygrove, then Goldenrod.

Epona: <Are we going off road or staying on the routes?>

Whatever you like.

-Helen helps Hermes and Ashes onto her back, then swings back up into the saddle-

All right, let's go.

-Epona canters out of town, following the route-

-My mind feels like it's about to explode, as the memories of the Original timeline are returned-

Zero:<What's happening?>

Aurora:<I think his head is about to explode.>

Crescent:<Eep!> -Ducks behind a rock-

-My mind stops flooding, and I return to normal-

Naida:<What just happened?>

I think something happened to my memories.

Zero:<Did you suddenly get amnesia?>

No, that's not it. I can't tell which memories are real and which ones are not. On one hand I remember you as mute for a while.

Zero:<What?>

But have you ever been mute?

Zero:<Nope.>

See? What could it be-wait, I remember now. Dialga said he was going to betray the other Legendary Pokemon. Then Cyrus escaped, and this world must be a result of all him using Dialga to change the timeline.

Zero:<Whoa.>

-June Defeats Emolga#1-

June, Return! -Recalls June and Sends out October-

-Emolga#2 Is sent out-

-Walking down the sidewalk, some time later-

Helios: -Is holding a jar of honey- <I love this stuff.>

Yeah, you wanted me to buy all the honey in that health store.

-Notices an Oddish and a Sandshrew being escorted by a bunch of Murkrow into an alley and nudges Tracer-

There's something up with those guys, let's follow them.

-Starts tailing behind the Murkrow and their hostages-

-The mid-day son shone down on the coast near Azalea Town. Despite the warm weather, there were no humans present at the beach, only a few sand dwelling Pokémon such as Krabby and Shellder. The residents of the beach didn't mind that nothing ever really happened here. tHey enjoyed the peace and quiet.

On this day, however, the peace was about to be shattered. If only temporally.

A lone Krabby spotted it first. Something large was just of the coast. A large dark shape moving through the water. What was visible of it's body, though, was utterly terrifying.

Large red ridges, marine blue scales, and a huge yellow jaw were the beast's most prominent features. Features that the beach Pokemon all too well.

The humans called them Feraligatr.

But the beach Pokémon called them killers.-

Krabby: <IT'S A GATOR! EVERYMON RUN!!!>

-Upon hearing the Krabby's warning, the Beach Pokemon began to attempt to hide amongst their surroundings or flee inland for their lives.

Shellder closed their shells shut tight and buried themselves in the sand, while a lone Shuckle withdrew into it's shell and hid amongst some stones. A few Krabby scuttled under some rocks for protection while a group of Wingull flew alway into the sky, cawing loudly.

Within minutes, the beach was seemingly devoid of life. Just as a certain Ferligatr crawled up onto the shore.-

Lake: <Phew! That was nice swim.>

-The Feraligatr pauses breifly to take in his surroundings.-

Lake: <Hmm. This beach is quiet. You think there'd at least be a few people or Pokémon here.> -Shrugs.- <Oh well.>

-The Feraligatr begins to head inland. As he leaves a Shellder emerges from the sand, opening his shell just in time to see Lake leaving.-

Shellder: <Phew!>

-Lake pauses breifly, having thought he heard something. Spotting this, the Shellder quickly snaps his shell shut and reburies himself in the sand just as Lake turns to look back, having thought he heard something.

Seeing nothing out of the ordinary, Lake turns back and continues on his way to Azalea Town.

-Emolga#2 uses Volt Switch-

Crap.

-Zebstrika is sent out-

October, Shadow Ball!

-the group arrives in Cherrygrove and Helen dismounts. She, Hermes, and Ashes deliver their maps, then leave town, headed for Goldenrod-

-To Tagg-

"... I see them..."

<Iron Marrow: "Oh great, way to embroil us into some petty squabbles. Is this a pasttime amongst humans?">

<Nadia: "Grr... Can't you just shut up?">

<Vesta: "Quiet, you two! You'll give us away!">

-Further down the alley-

<Sandshrew: "Wh-What do you guys want? Wh-Why did you want us to leave our trainer?">

<Mundane!Murkrow #1: "Relax... We just wanted to talk a little business...">

<Mundane!Murkrow #2: "Just sit down and shut up, and everyone walks away in one piece...">

Oddish: <Wh...What kind of business?>

-At our position-

Sounds like an extortion racket, let's see what they want.

Audilith: <We could easily take on those Murkrow just like we did in the original timeline.>

Garchomp: <These guys are getting TMs from somewhere, so I don't think they'll be as easy to swat as you think, though they aren't that much stronger again.>

-October gets hit with the attack-

October, Return! Go, September!

-The Sandshrew and Oddish are ringed by 15 leering Murkrow-

<Mundane!Murkrow #1: "Simple. Our boss is running an errand for somebody. And your trainer has something that that somebody wants.">

<Mundane!Murkrow #3: "Some sort of research or something... If my boss is right, it has something to do with some sort of spray...">

<Sandshrew: "H-How do you know about that?">

<Mundane!Murkrow #4: "We have our ways.">

<Mundane!Murkrow #2: "Let's cut to the chase... We need whatever it is your human's been working on. Doesn't matter if it's a sample, some notes, or whatever. Just bring it.">

<Mundane!Murkrow #1: "And don't be stingy with whatever you bring either! If whatever you bring isn't good enough to satisfy this errand...">

<Mundane!Murkrow #5: "This will be the last week that you, your human, and your teammates spend alive...">

-Mundane!Murkrow #6 telekinetically lifts the Oddish into the air-

<Sandshrew: "H-Hey! Wh-What are you doi-!">

<Mundane!Murkrow #1: "Relax... He's fine... For now...">

<Mundane!Murkrow #6: "And that's just what we can do... You don't want our boss to get involved in this...">

-Watching from a distance-

"... What's going on? How are these Murkrow capable of doing that? They don't learn Psychic naturally!"

<Vlad: "Should we go help?">

<Shaun: "We should. But I'm not sure how to go about this without making it worse...">

-Thinking-

<Leana: "Aren't those... But... Why would they do something like this?">

Oddish: -Is struck dumb with terror-

-At our position-

Psychic? Who's giving them these TMs?

Audilith: <I guess you were right Garchomp.>

Garchomp: <I say we attack them quickly and decisively. We all know that Murkrow aren't all that great at taking a hit.>
