... Well... Can I tell you guys something?
Lake: -Comes back, a large smile on his face.- <Hey.>
Oh, Lake. You look happy. Been spending some time with Nadia?
Lake: <Yep.>
Aww. -To DS.- What is it, DS?
Lake: <Is something wrong?>
-walks over to the others, Masque by my side-
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!-smirks-
— Don't mention it, Every... Just... *stares* wanted to make sure that Tagg and Tracer's friends were all right... — handshakes Every.
Maekrite — <Cool, so that'll get us pretty good attacks for when we are leaving...>
Rufus — <Leaving?>
Maekrite — <Yeah... Trainer has pending work, and after that we're taking loooong vacation.> — looks at me — <He promised.>
— Now guys, don't fall behind because the police are coming! Let's hide in plain sight in the hotel lobby, and I'll teach you that Grass Knot there, Rufus!
Maekrite and Rufus run behind me.

Hi, guys.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!Hi Crewe. DS was about to tell us something.
Lake: -To Masque.- <Hi.>
Anything interesting going on?
-Masque nods at Lake, then closes his eyes, concentrating-

Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!Well, it's about my fourth round battle.
To be honest, I really didn't have a problem with Slouch winning the battle, but... part of me feels that, I failed to live up everyone's expectations.
... And, perhaps I too was expecting that I'd be able to go further in the tournament. I think one of the reasons for wanting to use the armband to evolve was so that I could get that off my mind.
- Sighs -
And now, while most of me is hoping that Slouch will be able to win his next battle, there is also a part of me that kind of wants Cynthia to win if only because that might mean that I am a better trainer than he is since I have beaten Cynthia before...
... And I feel ashamed of myself for even having just part of me feel that way.
You haven't let anyone down, DS. We don't think any less of you for losing against Slouch.
Lake: <We're not going to think any less of you for losing one battle, DS. That would be pretty shallow of us.>
Yeah.
I felt kind of similar after losing to Leaf. Well, not right after, but after a few days I stopped blaming Hecate and started seeing all the mistakes I made. I kinda felt like I failed my team. To tell the truth, I still feel like that. It's part of the reason I've been avoiding my team.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!-Hearing DS, Dintel walks in and hugs her leg, but with his paws stretched so he's not going to accidentally tear socks, shoes or something...-
Fanfic Recs orwellianretcon'd: cutlocked for committee or for Google?Gotta go get my haircut.
Well, your feelings are understandable concerning these recent events DS.
Darn it, why can't I make better reassurances?
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Well, that's understandable, DS. You came here to prove yourself, so it's understandable that you can't help but root for the option that proves yourself most strongly.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!-has checked the stadium, and as there are no matches, is now wandering around the lobby-
Dunsparce didn't stop being a thing or anything.- Looks over at Crewe -
... You too, huh?
- Looks around at the others -
... Really? You don't think it is selfish of me or anything to have such feelings?
If you were to try and sabotage Slouch's match, then it would be selfish.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!-shrugs-
I should probably try to get over it, but I've been preoccupied. And I'm not looking forward to facing my team after abandoning them for a few days. Masque is only here because I need him to find my missing Pokemon.
Victory! Honor! Destiny! Mutton!I think it's perfectly normal to have those sorts of feelings when you lose to someone, DS. And the fact that you feel terrible about having those feelings means that's it obvious that you don't really mean them.
Blue's a toughie, Tagg. So I wish you the best of luck with that.
