Giovanni (stretches arms in a preacher-like manner) — Good! I see you like going for the kill! Kangaskhan! Outrage!

Kangaskhan, noticing barely that Muddy has disappeared, starts running towards the new oppossition.

Kangaskhan's child — <Get me closer, mom! I want to hit them with my paw... *notices incoming fire* Aaahhh~!>

The mother barely manages to charge her attack but brakes and crosses her arms to protect the child. She is thrown back and she and the child fall; the mother is instantly knocked unconscious while the child starts crying...

Giovanni — Now... it looks like there's not much else to do... right?

Giovanni recalls Kangaskhan and stands in his place for a while, idly fingering the two last Pokéballs in his belt as he bathes in the sunlight...

(Meanwhile in the Van)

Agent D — "What's with this? The special energy isn't released into the field yet?"

Technician — "No ma'am... we're picking the lectures from the opponent's Pokémon and the heat effect."

Agent D — "Stay the course." (sits in the van to think)

Giovanni — Now... let's see how much you want to damage this...

Releases a Nidoqueen to the field. She wears a small necklace with a small, Black Sludge that seems to beat as the Nidoqueen sniffs around...

Nidoqueen — <Someone hurt a child here... Where is it? (To Giovanni) Show me where is it!>

In response, Giovanni merely points to Tagg with his chin.

Sorry I wasn't on at all today, but not only was it Father's Day, it was also my mom's birthday, so I was pretty busy.

I'll do my second battle tomorrow evening.

Pentigan.

-Nadia recoils at watching the Kangaskhan attempt to use Outrage on Muddy, the sight stirring up painful memories-

<Nadia: "B-But... She just me- But he was already- WHY?">

<Toothless: "Something's up with this guy. No sane trainer lets his Pokemon do something like that...">

"At this rate, it isn't going to matter whether this guy beats Tagg or not, he's going to wind up DQ'ed!"

<Shaun: "... Those similarities are uncanny...">

-Watches Giovanni release his Nidoqueen-

<Shaun: "... Did he just motion for his Nidoqueen to attack Tagg?!">

-All of a sudden, picks up a nearby can and throws it down at Giovanni's side of the stadium-

(Maekrite sighs and looks down at the enraged Nidoqueen)

(In the arena)

Nidoqueen looks bewildered at the sight of the firewall...

Nidoqueen — <This? (to Giovanni) Do I break them?>

Giovanni — Now... Nidoqueen, let's begin. Take that bug and only that bug down. Begin with a Rock Tomb!

Nidoqueen yells, raises arms, and with Sheer Force brings them with a punch to the ground, cracking the arena's surface and lifting four small, diamond-shaped rock protrusions from the ground. Still not satisfied, Nidoqueen hurles them in Volcarona's general direction, and then using her tail for balance, she launches herself to the air and punches the rocks several times, shattering them and sending the shards flying at Volcarona at high speed.

-Is thinking about her battle with Pentigan and mentally goes through various plans and strategies that she could use against Pentigan-

...?

-Pulls my hat down a little lower and adjusts my hands to look thoughtful-

-Begins heading to an office in Jubilife that I helped deliver several packages for-
