Talbain stretched in the confines of his Pokéball. It was always so rejuvenating in this thing, and he didn’t question it. He approached the terminal for Hasslemon.
unovanOtaku started the conversation.

“What am I and what are these noises and why can I understand them and where am I and why am I not sharp anymore...” A man whispered as he nervously looked at himself, unable to really walk due to his new bulk.
A Lycanroc materialized and removed his scarf, revealing him for the jacket-wearing human Caliburn had been cared for by.
“Colt, why am I you?” He asked nervously, gesturing to himself, wearing a white shirt with sleeves that got progressivly more droppy as they approached his wrist while also wearing pants that reminded Colt of [Terra]. His hair was worn in a stringy manner, though that was likely due to the sweat that came from his paranoia. He wasn’t wearing shoes, which was actually rather strange, Colt admitted.
“You aren’t me,” Colt said bluntly. “You’ve just adopted the same species as me-“
“Human?” Caliburn asked. “Yeah... yeah, I remember Yunwa mentioning that I’d become human during the day after she bit me,” he recalled.
“I guess you won’t be returning anytime soon,” Colt said.
“No, I’ll stick by you!” Caliburn defended.
“I mean, into your ball,” Colt clarified.
“Oh,” Caliburn breathed.
Colt walked away, having grabbed his backpack. Caliburn tried to follow, only to stagger. “Used to riding the wind?” Colt asked, to which Caliburn nodded in mild embarassment.
Colt placed his arm under Caliburn’s shoulders and helped him walk to a table outside.
Two Heart-to-Hearts, one of which was translated, later.
“Glad to have said all that,” Caliburn remarked.
“Same, Caliburn-“
“Burn?!!?” Caliburn breathed. “There’s fire here?!”
“Nonononono!” Colt stammered, noticing no locals had turned an eye. “It’s just the name I’ve been using, sorry. Is there a name you’d like for me to use?”
“Well, my actual name is unpronounceable to you humans, so I can’t really tell you right now.”
“But everything you said has been pronounceable to “us humans”,” Colt observed.
“... Washi,” He eventually said.
“Do you want to keep using that name?” Colt asked.
“I don’t know,” Caliburn admitted.
Colt shrugged and lifted himself up from his seat. Caliburn followed him, unaware that Colt didn’t really know where he was going.
He could be noticed.

"Wrong Julius," Colt interrupted Caliburn. He looked at the recently shapeshifted Shelgon. "Sorry, he's an Ultra Beast who just got turned into a human who has no idea how anything in this world works, much less the fact that multiple people share names," Colt explained.
"But I do actually have something of an idea where he might be. C'mon," and so he gestured for them to follow him.
Caliburn's footing stumbled a little, but he was making marked progress. "So, could I ask who you are?" The former steel-type asked the current dragon-type.

Colt met Caliburn's gaze. He promptly shut up.

This time, the whirlipede's pursuit attack does a little more damage as they land a critical hit on Magneman...which doesn't mean much of anything ultimately as their health is now just a little above the halfway mark. Regardless, this was enough to infuriate the magnemite, whom began rapidly spinning as they levitated upward. Before Mark was even able to issue a command, the magnemite charged toward whirlipede as fast as they could, screaming their name with metallic resonance before unleashing a self-destruct attack.
