<Nadia: "Yeah.">

<Vlad: "Alright, it's time to pull up, Nadia...">

-Nadia pulls up, but is carried up further than she expected and winds up losing control and falling onto the water tower-

"Nadia! Are you okay?!"

-Lands with Basket and Vlad on top of water tower-

<Nadia: "Ouch... I don't understand... I did everything that Vlad told me to...">

-Bats pedipalp against face-

<Vlad: "I'm a moron... I should have warned you that built-up areas often have places with noticeable updrafts...">

<Nadia: "Wait, what?">

<Basket: "You remember when I brought up thermals earlier? This is one of the reasons why they're important...">

Latias: (shakes Silent's hand) <Hi, nice to meet you! I haven't really come up with a name other than Latias, but I have been considering a few names for my human form. Haven't really decided on one yet...> (looks over at Stratus) <Oh, yes! I can turn invisible! And I do I have illusion powers that allow me to disguise myself as a human! I can probably turn into other things as well, but I haven't really tried it yet!> (giggles)

........Never mind. -Walks away-

-Wanders back to where Ian was but he's gone again-

She can understand you just fine Silent. Um Latias, Silent can't understand you on the other hand.

-Continues-

While I was out training, an 'M possessed Clay sent his Excadrill to Nimbasa to capture Virizion, since Terrakion and Keldeo were already captured by him. My friends defeated Excadrill, but Virizion was seriously hurt in the process and had to be rushed to a Pokemon Center.

Stratus: <Oh yeah! I saw you as a human! You really had me fooled! You're so awesome!>

Breeze: <I wish I could fly. All I can do is float and hope the wind doesn't get too strong.> -curls tail-flap-thingy around a small ledge-

Latias: (giggles a little, before hearing Tagg) <... Oh, right. Forgot not all people can understand me when I'm not... Just a second...> (switches back into her human disguise) Is this better?

- Nods -

-doing my best to ignore the various Legendaries by continuing my hushed conversation with Roserade-

(Continues to shake hands as he listens to Latias giggling and making... sounds)

— Ohh... I have so many questions to ask and it's great I mean.... I mean...

(Stands back and take a full look at the Latias in front of him, then breathes hard) — Must be awesome to be a Latii, and you have been travelling with DS and the guys for how long and... Wait... *looks back at Tagg, frowns* Did you know about this?

(Suddenly gasps in realization) — Oh Arceus! (blushes) How did I expect to interview a Latii that I can't understand????

(Then sees Latias assume formal human form again)

— Oh... I gues this changes some things...

After three days, Virizion recovered, but we had to deal with a possessed Iris, or IriM, who came to take her away. After she turned into a half-Iris, half-Haxorus monster, she ran away, but Wolf and I defeated her together, and 'M was expelled from her body. A couple of days later, we also had to fight Excadrill for a second time once it came back for Virizion. It was then when we decided to split up to get Clay. One group would head over to Anville Town, and the other to Driftveil. I went with the latter, Anom with the former.

-Gets a dark look-

Neither he nor I will forget the events of that night.

Fortunately, I got knocked out before anything bad actually happened to us.

Latias: (giggles)

Lake: <Ooh, Tagg's just about to tell...Um...His friend about what happened at Anville Town.>

Unite: <I hope he mentions my evolution.>

Sol: <Really, Unite? Out of all the things that happened there, I dount your evolution is going to be the most important thing he has to tell him!>

Unite: <I know! It was just rather important to me, that's all.>

Yeah, so as the Anville group flew over there, they were attacked by a pack of Zoroark. Since I had Cobalt as a psychic conduit, I saw everything that happened to them. Crewe got knocked unconscious when she fell off Swoobat, Anom was slashed repeatedly by Zoroark and nearly died, and his Yanmega...I'll tell you that part later. Once the Anville group was all together, they had to fight a 50 foot tall Clay who'd come for Virizion.

-Has been behind Luke the entire time, listening to Stratus's story.

Oh boy. Stratus, I understand how you feel. Some 'mons just weren't cut out for fighting. And your father does not have the right to judge you like that; he's not even the same species as you!

Stratus: <Huh?>

-Stratus turns around.-

Stratus: <Oh hello! How long have you been there?>

-Stratus grabs Gamer's hand and shakes it vigorously.-

Stratus: <Nice to meet you! And I'm glad you understand what I've been through...Maybe if I can help Luke win the tournament, my Dad won't think I'm so useless...>

It's not so much that you are not skilled...It's that your dad is an inconsiderate, streyotypical asshat. I haven't heard of such a bad father since I read Things Fall Apart! Anyways, I saw that you do have potential....All you need to do is learn how to channel it. First of all, I think I may have a great flying tutor for you. One of the guys in our group....Tracer, I think...is teaching one of his newly evolved Pokemon how to fly. I'd recommend going to him for tips.

You guys can interject at any time in-story if I don't mention anything you find important.

Things Fall Apart, loved that book.

From what I learnt, Skyla's Swoobat sung Caramelldansen in his ear, Gamer's Charmander stubbed his toe, Unite the Rufflet evolved, and Gamer entered Clay's mind with the help of Kratos and found a whole bunch of shiny Charizards watching True Grit. So they ended up beating Clay, and he turned back to normal. Afterwards, they went over the forest again, Crewe captured their leader, and Wolf and Anom....

-Looks pained-

<Vlad: "(*shrug*) Technically you don't need to know how to fly to get around... If you're creative and can somehow get and stay airborne, the sky's the limit. My own species can't really fly, we're just really good at gliding...">

"Are you alright Nadia, or should we take a short break here?"

<Nadia: "I'm fine... It wasn't that far of a fall...">

<Basket: "You actually seemed like you were getting pretty even towards the end there. With a little practice, you could probably fly decently pretty quickly.">

<Nadia: "R-Really?">

-Basket nods-

-Nadia gains a more confident expression-

"So... I guess that we should head back to the stadium now..."

-Gets on Basket-

<Nadia: "But how do I get off this thing? I thought that you said that there was a thermal here...">

<Basket: "Did you want to show her Vlad, or should I?">

<Vlad: "I can show her how she should ascend, though she'll be taking off differently than I will...">

-Points at membranes-

<Vlad: "For obvious reasons.">

<Basket: "Ah, I guess that I can show her how to take off afterwards.">

-To Nadia-

<Vlad: "Okay, the thing to do when you're in a thermal is to ascend gradually, and let the updraft work with you...">

-Runs off of tower and coasts around it, gradually rising with the air-

<Vlad: "Like that.">

<Basket: "So what you'll want to do is to take off at a shallow angle and coast">

-Ascends at a shallow angle and begins rising slowly with Vlad, circling around the tower-

<Basket: "Try it.">

-Nadia attempts to mimic Basket's ascent, and after a brief, but startling drop, begins to ascend gradually-

<Basket: "Don't be shy to have a little momentum! Just make sure that it goes outwards and not upwards.">

<Nadia: "Okay, I'll remember that...">

-After circling for a short period, Vlad lowers himself to Nadia's altitude-

<Vlad: "So we're going back the same way that we came... Did you need me to give pointers, or do you think that you have the hang of it?">

<Nadia: "Erm... I really don't know...">

<Vlad: "Hmm... Why don't you try to fly on your own, and I'll give you pointers if you need them. Is that okay?">

<Nadia: "Sure, Vlad.">

-Flies off towards stadium with Nadia, Vlad, and Basket-

I'm not much of a fan, though. Mainly because Okonkwo is now one of my most hated characters in all of litrature.

-closes my eyes briefly and tries to tune out this part of the story-

Stratus: <Well...My flying could use some work. Maybe I could ask this Tracer person to help me.>

Unite: <Hey! You don't need to do that! I can help you learn how to fly properly?>

Stratus: <Are you sure Unite? I think the way a bird flies and the way a dragon flies are completely different.>

Unite: <...Oh. I didn't know that. And Tagg mentioned me! Yay!>

Breeze: (To Vlad) staying airborne isn't really the problem....but at least you can turn and stuff. I just float and hope the wind is weak enough that I can get where I need to go.
