-they glance around, then put their team's scarf on, shifting to human-

-Tripod notices, and pauses for their best friend to hop on, which they do-

-and then everyone lifts off, either naturally or via Magnet Rise, and follows from a distance, keeping a sharp eye out-

Kai: Okay, so...

-She keeps her grip with one arm, letting go with the other to point.-

Kai: Over there, see the red and gold trees? There should be a clearing there, I'll point it out when we get closer, that should be really nice.

Dioh: -getting on as well as the boat automatically takes off, still talking amiably- Thanks friend! -glances in slight embarrassment at the boat- Sorry, I'm too poor for Player Owned Ports. Ahh... It's a good thing you missed the hurricane. Haven't seen weather like that in years. If it weren't for the ol' Home Teleport spell, I would've been crushed by a rock.

Brie: Alright.

-she guides Atlantis in the indicated direction-

Atlantis: <Strange colors for the season.>

-Brie shrugs, and Atlantis veers towards the trees-

Kai: Yeah, it's like that year-long. Winter, spring, summer, fall, always.

-She looks around as they approach the golden patch of trees-

Kai: Let's see, let's see... ah, there!

-She points toward an opening in the trees-

Brie: Sure! Atlantis?

Atlantis: <Hmm. I wonder if it has to do with the story of the Burned Tower...>

-she dives down, landing in the clearing-

-Kai shrugs-

Kai: That's what I figure it is. There's a lot of folk tales that circulate about it, each different from the rest. Curious kids ask curious questions, after all.

-She lets go, and hops off Atlantis's back-

Kai: Point is, I think it's beautiful~

Brie: It is! I'm suddenly glad I never took the time to see it; means I get to see it for the first time now~

-Pent was... Difficult sometimes. His confidence and fears led him into decisions sometimes that weren't exactly advisable-

-He was kinda afraid of 'conventional' hypnosis. He did not like people playing with his head, even if it was seemingly benign. Even if it was for the right reasons he did not trust a soft, vocal force to instill an Aspect in such a generalized and malleable manner-

-As such, he spent that little session a few steps away from everyone and merely pretending to be listening while instead he repeated a few lines of some song in his head-

Are we done? I'd very much like to track down Basil before he does something stupid under that control.

-Kai smiles-

Kai: Glad I could help it happen, then~ So, uh...

-She sorta fidgets awkwardly-

-Brie has wandered over to lean against a nearby tree, staring up at the sky-

Brie: ...Uh, it's a nice night. Clear and everything.

Kai: Yeah, it is. It's nice.

-She sits down next to Brie.-

-Kai mulls over something during this quiet moment, before speaking up again.-

Kai: Hey, so, mind if I ask you a question? About earlier.

Sephiroth: <Indeeeed. But what for?>

-Reina sighs and shakes her head at Rabbid Megan and Colton-

Reina: I'll tell you all in a bit. It's about... Gudrunn.

-Without saying anything more she heads off in the direction of the others-

-A block tower looms up ahead-

Daydre and the rest (Azure and Tabitha are still around... somewhere) start walking as well. Unusually for her, she picks up on Reina's unease.

"..." Daydre abruptly freezes and stares at Reina.

Kai: What's the history behind, y'know, the bird thing? From how you were acting earlier, it definitely seems like there's more to it than just a few nasty encounters with Wingull.

Kai: I, uh... no, I surprisingly can't say I have. Only one of Kanjoh's Legendary Birds I've met was Articuno, when I went to face Noland. I feel like I have a vague idea where this is going, though...

Dioh: Hmm, it was pretty fierce, maybe a wizard did it. All I know is that I haven't heard from any of the NPCs there since, which is a bit worrying! I'd hate to be the only person left alive in this world. One of the best parts of adventuring is meeting people, after all.

This place is probably based on some sort of MMO from how this guy has been talking... but one I know nothing about.
