Hoenn Elite Four - Sidney's Chamber

[ previously... ]

Shiftry, fortunately, knew how to counter what had been put in front of him.

Roy had been rushing at him with a Blaze Kick but had to stop due to the attack. <What the hell was that?!!?

Shiftry took the opportunity to approach the recovering Roy and strike him again.

But he wasn't done. Roy stood back up mid-strike and it barely even fazed him.

Roy met Shiftry's attack by taking his footing out from under him and watching him land face first.

As Shiftry tried to stand back up, Roy was slowly preparing a Blaze Kick with enough power to knock Shiftry out for good, but he slowly realized that he was putting too much into it and had to end the move. But with nowhere for the fire to go, he had to unleash the attack and suffer the consequences.

Roy was now breathing hard and hardly breathing. This was practically it. He looked across the field at the next 'mon to meet him.

Colt felt something off about this Absol and realized the problem rather soon.

Roy didn't and suffered when he saw him move surprisingly fast.

He grabbed a Great Ball and threw it, knowing that some of his newcomers would be less than able.

Amaterasu, while not aware of the problem, had an idea and made an effort to prove Colt right.

Upon contact with Absol, Colt was proven right.

Angry at being outed, Zoroark held nothing back.

Ammy was damaged from the attack, but managed to keep going, mostly out of a desire to just nuke him.

"Not very defensive," Colt mused as Sidney returned the Illusion Fox.

<Sun, plus charcoal, plus natural affinity, what do you think?> Amaterasu countered as her next opponent appeared.

The Shiny Fire-type tried to have a little fun, bouncing around a few flares and lobbing them at Mandibuzz as she flapped her wings faster and faster.

"<Aw, crud,>" Colt and Ammy protested as they were buffeted by the breeze and Mandibuzz used that moment to prey on one of Fire's weaknesses.

"The burn should make things slightly easier," Colt considered as he grabbed a Luxury Ball and threw it in an arc.

The Delphox landed and met eyes with Mandibuzz, already approaching at an almost casual pace, drifting on the Tailwind.

And then she got struck in the chest.

Recovering from the blow, more due to how sudden it was, she retaliated with what she knew would hurt the most.

"Last one, Sunny!" Colt acknowledged to his grounded Psychic-type. She nodded back to him and who her last opponent was.

"Doesn't seem too bad," Colt mused to himself only to see a sorta familiar glow coming from both Absol and Sidney.

When it faded...

"That's just not fair," Colt mused.

Due to Mandibuzz's Feint Attack being diluted from the burn, Sunny was able to survive the hit and get a scrape of her own in.

"We gotta stop cutting it this close," Colt decided as he threw forth his last allowed Pokemon.

Colt mentally fistpumped as Xatu was then casually approached as he decided to enact a little karma.

And maybe a little more didn't hurt. Toughing out the fresh marks on his body, he struck.

Sidney nodded and stood aside so Colt could pass, but Colt needed to heal up his team first.

Good thing he remembered to stock up.

He drew his phone and looked at the message sent to him.

Around him, his team raided his bag for many healing items, even finding Sylveon's Quick Claw and 9-Volt's Wise Glasses, respectively given to Xatu and Sunny. Everyone looked a bit better - Sunny most of all, fashion-wise - but Colt himself needed a break.

He'd continue when he was ready.

Remy blinks before walking over to the Beast Ball and picking it up.

Amber gives him the biggest hug.

Amber: YAY REMY! YOU CAUGHT THE MURDERBEAST! :D

Gudrunn: ...Good enough.

-She suddenly lunges with the sword, only to cut Maggie free-
