The Cathedral

-Vierr grins, and rides up to the entrance.-

Vierr: Hey, long time no see.

Team Iron Safehouse

-After ten days, Mason has gotten a pretty solid idea of his surroundings.-

Thanks to Dune for giving me all this information

-He and Corrin were literally chained to the radiator earlier, but by now due to Lucius filing a complaint, the chains have been replaced with bungee cords, allowing a bit more mobility while still keeping them attached to the thing.-

-The room itself is essentially what looks like a run-down motel room, with a door that is literally just a reinforced anti-windstorm door, metal reinforcing wood. The windows are boarded up.-

-Two guards are there at all times, on alternating shifts. They're stationed inside the room, with a table for e.g. poker to prevent the guards from getting bored on the job (so it's not a "must stand vigilant at all times" type of security situation). One guard is seated facing the prisoners, while the other is seated opposite them, with a mirror set up that allows them to keep an eye on what's behind them.-

-Each guard works an 8-hour shift, with one of the two guards switching with the next person halfway through the other guard's shift. After a week, the patterns of who exactly works what shift have become noticeable (e.g. Person A only works morning and afternoon shifts, Person B only works late ones, person C is a night owl and handles the midnight/early-morning shifts, etc), so the pool of who gets what shifts is pretty easy to isolate, especially with Mason's eidetic memory.-

-Mason has oriented himself so that his arms, and the bungee cord, are behind him rather than in front of him; quietly, he's been sawing away at the cord with tiny claw constructs on his fingers. Whenever there was a point where someone has approached him, he's maintained an illusion over the cord to make it appear fully intact. For the time being, he's making sure not to completely break the cord yet.-

-In whispers, they've come up with a plan. But they've decided to wait just a little bit longer.-

Sergey's Camp

Embry takes a sprint and tries to outrun and touch Loran!

Phaz is walking around.

Phaz: "So... What's our next target?"

Cynthia: "I have literally no idea. Where did you want to go after the shops?"

Phaz: "Well, maybe see the family house and dad?"

Meanwhile, Phaz's bag is subtly moving.

Phaz: "Uh? Text message?"

He opens up to see...

Phaz: "Oh my Arceus... Remember Sergey's egg?"

Cynthia: 'Did Sergey lay an egg?'

Phaz: "Yes, but no."

He shows up the egg, which is cracking up...

"Oh my Arceus... It's been 3000 half-a-day..."

The egg cracks open more...

And stops three quarters at the top.

"...Excuse me what?"

Then the top goes off, and the petals of a Togepi opens!

"Ohhhh! A Togepi!"

Togepi: <Ge~!>

Phaz: "Yep~ A Togepi~! Hello, cutie~!"

Togepi: <Ge~! Ge~!>

Phaz: "Hihi~! So cute~! I think I'm going to name you... Columbia~! Yep~!"

He kisses the Togepi and hugs him close!

Congratulations! You caught a Togepi!!!

F!Robin(?): "So these... Pokemon are how you fight here... interesting. Proxy battles to, in theory, resolve conflicts without bloodshed."

F!Robin(?) is sitting in the lobby of the Pokemon Center in Malie, with the Fomantis and Jangmo-o from last night, along with a new Kirlia.

Kirlia: ~That's correct! Usually. It doesn't always work out. It's also a hobby of many people here. By the way, what did you say your name was?~

F!Robin(?) nods. "Well, not everything that works in theory works in practice. And my name's Robin. Do the three of you have names?"

Kirlia: ~I'm Mira! The Fomantis is Hector, and the Jangmo-o is Sigurd!~

Hector bows with a flourish, and Sigurd nods.

F!Robin(?): "It's nice to meet you all!"

Kirlia Mira: ~You too, Robin! I can translate for the other two for you with my telepathy, so you know!~

F!Robin: "That sounds useful."

Mira: ~I try!~

F!Robin: "So, what now?"

Mira: ~... Wait here a moment!~ -she walks over to the counter and returns with ten pokeballs.- ~Take these! They'll let you catch wild pokemon! Though a word of warning: Some sort of negotiation or battle is usually required first!~

F!Robin: "Defeat means friendship, then? Reminds me of... of someone."

Mira pats her. ~It'll come back to you in time!~

F!Robin: "I certainly hope it will." -She takes the pokeballs.-

Mira: ~Oh! You should catch us as your first 'mons!~

F!Robin: "Are... you all okay with this?"

Sigurd, Hector, and Mira nod in turn.

F!Robin has caught Sigurd, Hector, and Mira!

All are significantly abnormal in a normal world... All are significantly normal in an abnormal world.

Channah: You said Mt. Chimney yesterday, is that still on?

Alduin: <Ooh, new header style!>

-Yes, yes there is. Now where were we?-

N: You all should probably rest first, at least...

Roger: Sounds like a good idea... You all -groan- Can use the house.

Gudrunn: Well, if that's how it's going to be...

-She sends out her mons. Notably all are fully evolved and Kass and Molph are missing-

Timpani: <I... I'm so sorry about this... We all are...>

Gudrunn: Get them!

-An all-out brawl ensues!-

Squirps: They are, indeed, precious.

Mauve: {You know it!} -giggles-

Robin: -blushes at Mordred- Er, if my work here is done, I'll be out.

-He exits-

Grima:    What? The Kadabra gave me your credit card number!   

Azurill!Zumi: Should we be safe here?

-Kaden peers over Tagg's shoulder at the map-

Kaden: <This is your world, right? It's shaped kinda funny.>

F!Robin: "So we're here on this island - Ula'ula," She points to Malie City on the map of Alola, "Which is in this chain of islands called Alola, located here?" She points to Alola on the map of the world.

Mira: ~Yep!~

F!Robin: "So, what would you suggest we do next?"

Mira: ~Uh, well, the Trials of Alola have recently be turned into replacement Gym battles for the local League, we could do those!~

F!Robin: "The... League?"

Mira: ~Oh! Right, uh, the Pokemon League! It's an international organization which operates in most regions gyms, which are basically challenges for pokemon trainers to overcome!~

F!Robin: "Interesting."

Mira: ~Professional trainers can make a lot of money, too, which, uh, you're probably in need of!~

F!Robin: "I assume there's a sort of progression from easiest to hardest, then?"

Mira: ~Yep! Uh, the first one in Alola is the Normal trial, Which is on Melemele Island.~

F!Robin: "And the easiest way to get there would be... by boat, I assume."

Mira: ~There's a ferry terminal to the east of the entrance!~

F!Robin: "This city is... very large."

Mira: ~Yep! It's one, if not the, largest cities in Alola!~

F!Robin: "It's far larger than any city I've seen before. I think."

Mira: -looks F!Robin up and down.- ~Uh, we should probably get you new clothes first, too. You'll stand out a lot in that.~

F!Robin looks around. "That... that's probably true."
