-he grabs Jacob by the hand and leads him to the land his house, down the halls, and into a room-

Jacob: -He sits down, he takes a few moments to gather his thoughts, needing to calm himself down-

-He stretches out all his fingers and curls them one by one until both hands are fists, then just pats his knees, looking up- "... Okay. Have you seen Every lately?"

Megan: -thinking- Hm...do you have Legendaries where you're from? If you do, are they also between Pokémon -she gestures to Pollen- and humans? Or do they look like...

-she pulls out her Pokédex and pulls up an artist's depiction of Dialga and Palkia-

this? They might be something you could make action figures of...

Human!Vee: Mmm, maybe you could sell the story of the J-Team as a work of fiction? Uxie knows there's some of that floating between universes, nowadays~

Or heck, maybe just start a show or something starring Pokémon or humans! It'll probably stand out!

Ever: Oh, yeah. She's been a little weird lately. She went to hide in the HQ, and she came back just a couple days ago. She seemed really stressed, so Amanita had a movie night and we all hung out for a bit. I've been in Nimbasa since though.

Dunsparce didn't stop being a thing or anything.

Ever's House

Jacob: -He nods grimly- "... So you noticed too."

"... Could you do me a favor? I need you and your friends to either keep her at the HQ or at a house somewhere comfortable. At least until we deal with the Shards."

-He folds his hands and looks down again- "... A while ago, just before she locked herself up... her Pyschics attacked me under her assumption her original procedure made me Chaos. And then just the other day she attacked me again under that assumption at the HQ. I was able to salvage the security footage before she wiped it, if you want to see. She's seemed honestly, horribly torn up over it, I just think the stress of it all is starting to break her. I don't... I don't want her to hurt. Herself or anyone else. I think until we deal with Tragedy, we should probably keep her confined someplace comfortable and safe."

Zelritch: "It would seem to be rather ominous, yes."

Balmung: <I am ready for anything, sir.>

Zelritch: "That would seem wise."

Artoria: "I see. Well. Back to the hotel, then."

-The duo, presumably, head back to the hotel.-

Artoria leads Robin into the hotel room. Mordred is sitting, ironically, playing [Fire Emblem Awakening], and Cecilia is practicing Confusion on random objects around the room.

Artoria: "I am back, and I brought a friend."

Mordred: "Neat, wait, what friend?"

Artoria stares at Mordred.

Mordred turns around, looks at Robin, looks down at her game, and looks back to Robin "Ohmihelix"

Artoria: "Mordred, calm yourself. Cecilia, this is Robin. He's apparently been in a similar situation as you."

Cecilia waves. <Greetings.>

All are significantly abnormal in a normal world... All are significantly normal in an abnormal world.

-Ever blinks-

Not that that doesn't sound like her, but she did end up leaving HQ...if she hid in the first place because she was embarrassed over a false assumption, and it sounds like she was, why would she leave after making the same assumption again?

Ever: ...I'd like to see that footage, please.

Jacob: -He nods, and hoists up his gauntlet, tapping a few buttons on the holographic keyboard and a display shows up of PEFE HQ - E.V.E.R.Y.-

-It shows Jacob facing Tuft and trying to push him away, and Tuft moving aggressively and gesturing at Every-

-The sound is too garbled to make anything out clearly, but the voices sound genuine

-There's a flash of light and Regina is pinning down Tuft and Every leaping back towards her workbench and grasping for a switch-

-Jacob hurling Kanshou at the switch and cutting it in half, resulting in a laser bombardment, one grazing his stomach before he leaps back and his armor flashes to life, deflecting the others-

-She then kicks the core of gravity gun at him, and the explosion knocks him back, but Regina throws up a Protect just in time to keep the damage from being lethal-

-Every is also knocked back, and the floor caves in, and she falls down it-

-Then Jacob retreats back and blips out with Regina-

-Then the clip ends-

"...."

-He lifts up his shirt to show his side horribly burned, but healing-

"Not another scar I wanted to collect, but luckily generous application of Heal Pulse has been helping."

-He pulls it back down-

"I don't blame her. The-the-the stress. The stress of all of this is... thinking she hurt me and then clinging to this... idea. Being wrong in a profession were being wrong... hurts. Hurts your sense of self. I don't blame her I can't. But I think she needs to be kept safe for a while."

"Legendaries? They exist here?"

Silas blinked, "...You haven't seen them around back home?"

"No. Only evidence we had was that giant mecha rayquaza that got tossed at us... We're fairly certain they exist... we just haven't seen them."

"Huh... Maybe they are doing some sort of behind the scenes bit where they aren't supposed to be seen."

"Most likely explanation."

Upon the suggestion of a J-Team cartoon, "Anyone got dedicated archives?"

"That depends? Would you make sure it is a quality show?"

"Buddy. Quality sells better and longer, if I can learn about the J-Team and somehow adapt their tales, I'd make sure it's top quality because the model kits I could sell for years!"

-Ever makes a face-

Ever: Dude, put that away.

-he sighs-

Fuck. It's never fun remembering what your friends can do when they're pointed in the wrong direction.

Ever: Yeah, I'll talk to her. Do you mind sending me a copy of the footage?

Jacob: -He nods- "No problem."

-He taps away at the gauntlet PC again before closing the display-

"... I don't want to do this. Really, I don't. But I think me keeping my distance from her and she just... getting a break until this all rolls over might be for the best. You have my back on this? I don't want you to divide yourself between family and friends. I just want to know what to expect. I would like to not have to check over my shoulder and constantly sweep my room because I hypercompetent hyperlethal bio-engineer is overworked."

Megan: We've actually seen a few Legendaries recently! The J-Team apparently comes into contact with them pretty often...

-the conversation turns to the hypothetical show-

Megan: -pauses, then grins- Oh! Well, isn't someone part of a site dedicated to respectfully finding the facts of the J-Team? I'm sure anything on there is fair game!

Human!Vee: And the hypotheticals section's probably great to spice things up~

Pollen: -flatly- <Thespi'd be thrilled with this.>

It wouldn't be long before an eager grin formed on his face that some could have mistaken for psychotic from the right lighting and angle as he then said, "Magnemite...electric and steel, both tend to be tough!
