-Meanwhile, a Lucario and an Aggron defend Dylan and Ellen respectively from a pair of employees' Clawitzer and Crobat. Another employee approaches Diane and Skye-

Grunt: ...Uh, hello? Aren't you gonna, y'know, fight?

Diane: We're waiting for you.

Masako fires another ice beam, this time at the Kommo-o, while Astolfo uses Play Rough on same.

-almost as soon as Mezzo points this out, she notices a light coming from the tunnel-

-the Pheromosa takes Mezzo in one of its arms and leaps to the ceiling, deftly avoiding the incoming train-

-Arsenic tanks the Hydro Pump. It doesn't do much.-

Alice: That Blastoise could be an issue. Take care of it, Arsenic.

-She fires an Energy Ball at the Blastoise. Alice remains stood where she is, but any Employee that steps too close is going to be on the receiving end of a Throat Chop.-

-Lucius smirks.-

Lucius: That you're stubborn as a Tauros and twice as ugly. That even after five years apart you're still a pain in her ass.

-His smirk slips.-

Lucius: ...And she wishes you'd understand that you're on the wrong side here.

-Lucille sits herself down on the mattress.-

Lucille: ...My name's Lucille. Lucille Cain. Shard is... I guess it'd be accurate to say she was me, once. She... she's something else now. She's in control, most of the time. Talbain spat out wisps as he retreated to the J-Team side of the field. Smelling popcorn, he halted and trailed it, finding Xerxes munching and watching.

He paused and looked over to the battle. <Electroweb-Beta and Fire Spin!> He hollered at 9-Volt and Ammy, who nodded as they prepared the attacks, the latter getting tagged by Pyukumuku, who copied one of her wisps for a larger Fire Spin.

He continued on the way, soon being within close proximity to Xerxes. He got on his haunches and looked at him pleadingly, but what he said kinda went against it.

<Where did you get that?> He asked as he lobbed a Dark Pulse Orbitar over his side’s head that landed on or close to some poor Mobian ‘mon.

[Insert Unoriginal Stinger Here]

All: Hey, I'm All.

Ever: Remember how back in [the day] there was the guy who tried to [murder me]? Well, eventually he gave up on trying to murder me and tried to murder Mezzo instead, but she talked him out of it by [kicking his ass six ways from Sunday], so he went into a [deep depression] until his Starmie exorcised our mutual ancestor. Then he just sort of hung around as a [recurring background element] until a crisis brought the entire Memito Complex together in order to stop our crazed cousin from pulling a Lazarus with our great-great-great-great-great-whatever-granddad. Then he became a friend, and he even got on the groupchat, but I [hated him anyway], so I made a better groupchat that didn't have him in it.

All: Hold up, what?

Ever: He popped up occasionally in [narratively appropriate cameos], including when the sky exploded, and then I ended up selling him my grudge against him for, again, trying to murder Mezzo and me, in exchange for a [sweet ride]. And now he's here.

All: Why were you singing bits of that?

Ever: Reasons and stuff.

Lucille: No thanks. I've gone off coffee. 'Sides, I'm used to the cold by now.

-She waves a hand at the frost around her.-

Lucille: You wanna know the funny thing? Back when I was Shard, I couldn't do anything like this. I could barely make an Icicle Shard without fucking it up. Now... now she's got laser focus, and me? Nada. Nothing. Jack and shit. There's some part of my brain that just doesn't want me to have this kinda power.

-The Herdier is finally able to break Cryokinesis's reverie, and she looks down at it impassively.-

-It sends out a Thunderbolt toward the Avenger.-

-Meanwhile, Bad Dog is trying to get the timer thing to speed the heck up so he can change into something better.-

-Mason chuckles.-

Mason: Yep, sounds like her. When she wakes up, tell her I said the same about her.

-His smirk likewise falls.-

Mason: ...And I wish we didn't have to be on opposite sides like this. Hell, early on, I might have agreed with her, and if things had gone differently, I might be with Iron after all. But... I'm not going to kill the same gods I'm indebted to for being alive.

-Spectrum is struck by a Dark Pulse, which dulls some of the rainbow flames for a brief moment before they flicker back into vibrancy. She responds in kind with another Earth Power.-

-Meanwhile...-

Employee: Look, we're attacking you, so you're supposed to defend yourselves, right? Why aren't you defending yourselves?

Diane: Well, you might be attacking, but you're not attacking-attacking. Once you attack-attack, we'll attack-attack back at your attack-attacks.

Employee: I'm not going to attack-attack until you defend-defend!

Ever: Right! Man, I hope I'm wrong about the Ultra Beast thing. One of them already took my phone.

Ever: Ultra Beast! Extradimensional Pokemon that mostly hate our entire plane of existence!

All: Does this have something to do with the sky exploding?

Ever: Oddly, no.

Tamamo: -turns towards the grunt employee from whom Green stole the rock.- "All the more reason for you not to have it♡" -she pulls a paper talisman out from... well, presumably the same place she got her mirror, burns it, and said grunt employee would find a pillar of ice flying towards them.-

Astolfo, meanwhile, attempts to steal Xerxes' popcorn as Masako continues Ice Beaming the Mobius 'mons.

Rin: "Saber, Shadow Claw!"

Tadakatsu: {Your foul magics will not fell me, you... flying swords!} -He is hit by the Shadow Claw, returning with a leaf blade- {What sorcery is this that you do not fall?}

Rin: "Again!"

Saber: <Your incomprehensible alien tongue will find no weakness in me!>

Tadakatsu is slammed into by another Shadow Claw. {Ngh... I must retreat for now, but I will return and claim my revenge!} -the Kartana jets off.-
