Surf!

Sammy: <Got it!>

-he summons a huge wave and sends it crashing towards Steelix-

Hmmm....I wonder where my lord is.

Flare: <You really think that's going to work on me? I'm a fire type to you know!>

-So Flare takes the Flamethrower attack. It doesn't do that much.-

Alright Flare, we've got him right where we want him! Now, throw him into the air and use Sky Uppercut!

Flare: <Awesome!>

-Flare tosses Houndoom into the air, then leaps up after it and delivers a fierce uppercut to it in mid-air.-

Bertha: Steelix, counter with Iron Tail!

-Steelix smashes a glowing, iron-hard tail into the wave, breaking it-

-Wakes up in whatever hotel Wolf had dropped me in-

Uhh... hello? Anyone here? Where is this?

That thing was a Gastly, and it was distracting us so that this cloned Rayquaza would be revived. Daisy caught the darn thing with a Master Ball, it started oozing and then Flame the Charizard ate it and died when it exploded. Then we captured Pies, Gamer and I took turns beating him up, and when he tried to pull a Karma Houdini, I got so mad that I was about to have Draca merely immolate him to death.

Latias: -Wanders into my room with Susan, wanting to know if I've seen Pentigan anywhere. They find Anom instead.- Hello, Anom!

-Houndoom hits the ground and staggers to get up-

Flint:Houndoom, Return! Go, Infernape!

Oh, hello. Where is this? Whose room is this, if not mine?

-Sammy leaps back, avoiding the Iron Tail-

Surf again!

-he nods and summons another wave, sending it crashing down towards Steelix-

Latias: It's Wolf's room with Miss DS. Since they only need one bed though, Wolf figured he'd bring you here for the night, instead of leaving you in the stadium. Almost everyone is at the tournament grounds right now, I think. We were just looking for Pentigan.

-Tournament Grounds-

Yeah Crewe! You can do it!

...They only need one bed?

Err, anyway, I should get down to the tournament.

Bertha: Dragonbreath!

-Steelix launches a wave of green flames from its mouth, smashing into the wave again-

-starting to get slightly irritated-

-Sammy winces as he gets hit with the Dragonbreath and shakes himself-

Sammy: <Um, Surf isn't working.>

Yeah, yeah, I know... use Scald.

-he nods and shoots scalding water at the Steelix from his... horn, I guess?-

I've always pictured the blast coming from the mouth, but whatever works

Bertha: Another Dragonbreath!

-Steelix repeats the firestream, trying to overpower Sammy-

Great job Flare! Come back!

-I recall Flare, putting her Pokéball back on her belt and pulling off a Heavy Ball.-

So Lake...How about we see what our newest team member can do?

Lake: <I guess it couldn't hurt to try. Go ahead!>

Al right then...Go! Stratus!

-I throw the ball, which bursts open to reveal the Dragonite we caught yesterday. Upon realising where he is, his eyes start sparkling.-

Stratus: <Oh! I'm at the Gold Conference! I'm ACTUALLY Competing at the Gold Conference! I can't believe it! This is so exciting!>

Come on Stratus! Focus on the battle!

Stratus: <Huh? Ah! Right!>

-Stratus clenches his fists with a determined expression on his face.-

Let's start this off with a Wing Attack!

Stratus: <Alright! Here I come!>

-Stratus takes to the air, then dives at the Infernape, he attempts to strike him with his wings...And ends up crashing into the floor. Hard.-

Lake: <Oh no!>

Stratus! Are you alright?!

-The Dragonite raises his head off the floor, looking slightly dazed.-

Stratus: <I'm fine! Don't worry...>

This place is a whole lot bigger on the inside than it appears on the outside.

I just think a swirling vortex of boiling water would look really cool coming from a Samurott's horn.

Hang in there Sammy, make sure this one connects!

-Sammy doesn't bother replying, too focused on maintaining the Scald. His Mystic Water helps power up the attack-

And now I have an image of a Samurott wearing a necklace.

-Quickly washes my clothes for today and heads down to the stadium-

Bertha: Get in closer!

-Steelix pushes forward, attempting to push the Dragonbreath through the Scald-

C'mon, Sammy! Don't give up!

Sammy: -grunts and takes a few steps towards Steelix, eyes half-closed and teeth clenched-

-Star doesn't notice her bag of popcorn is empty, and starts eating from the bag she was supposed to give to Ian-

Flint:Ok, infernape, Use Thunderpunch!

I'd think he'd do it from the mouth, but that's just me.

Luckily for him, I decided not to. The next day, we found that Canalave has returned mostly to normal, but this tower we dubbed the Glitch Building rose out of the waves. We immediately headed over to investigate it.
