-She brushes off her dress, grabs Kaito by the face and kisses them for an uncomfortably long moment for everyone who is not them-

-The various Pokemon she'd accumulated leave her-

-She smiles and rounds a corner, and is no longer there-

-She appears here, wings unfolding-

"..."

-She looks up- "I dislike being watched. But, I love this world. It's beautiful and worth protecting. Hopefully next time I'm here, we can integrate a little. I would love to see what we can get from each other."

-Her wings flare with brilliant purple light as a crack in space rips open and she steps through it, the air slamming shut behind her with nary a backwards glance-

-As it closes the air ripples out, reverberations-

-They're probably nothing-

-Remember how I said Kaito seemed like they regained their composure?-

-Hahahahahaha.-

Kaito: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-They go bright red, and just sorta sink into the kiss.-

-And then after what feels like both an eternity and little more than an instant, they're let go of.-

-And then Kuu's gone before they can process it.-

Kaito: ...

-They just sorta stumble backward. Unless someone decides to catch them, they fall to the ground after taking a few backward steps.-

-Catches Kaito-

Phew, the vibes are gone.

Quickly summarizing the most direct words he was given, he saved the document and put his phone away. Then he noticed Kuu was gone, and Kaito's stumbling form. He kept Kaito from falling onto the ground before sighing.

"Not even five seconds and I already kinda miss her, too," he mused. "Think I'm gonna go home and sleep on those words for a bit."

And so he left, headphones in his ears as a subdued song began he didn't even know the lyrics to.

-the moment Kuu leaves, there's a hissing noise, and a hole opens up in space-

-a young woman of around average height falls out of it. She has dark skin and light brown hair that's pretty clearly been cut messily, she looks as though she works out fairly regularly-

-oh yeah, and she's wearing heavy plate armor and carrying a sword with a glowing incandescence instead of a blade. And she's got little glowing dragon wings. Just a side note-

???: Didn't hurt!

-she jumps to her feet, narrowing her eyes as she flails the sword around-

???: KUU, YOU CAN'T HIDE! We're going to—

-she notices that Kuu is not, in fact, there-

???: Uh...you. Blue guy.

Ever: One of those things is probably true.

???: Have you seen a tall woman, dressed all in purple, about...

-she reaches as high as she possibly can. It's not that high-

??: —Yea high, maybe with big pink wings?

PEFE!Every: I don't know about the pink wings, but she just vanished.

-the woman stops-

???: ...She did?

PEFE!Every: You just missed her.

???: ...

-she says something in another language. Nobody present would recognize it, but it's most certainly vulgar-

-PEFE!Every pats her awkwardly-

???: ...I'll be going now!

-and she just sort of...scoots back into the hole in space, which zips up behind her-

PEFE!Every: ...Oh.

Ever: ...

-his eyes go glassy for a moment, and then return to their normal focus-

Ever: ...I'm going to go get a drink.

-and he leaves to do just that, PEFE!Every looking around in confusion-

Kaito: I. Um. Yeah.

-They can stand, but they certainly don't look particularly stable.-

Route 19:

"A J-Teamer? Man I hardly know anything about this region at all..." The young trainer said, seemingly annoyed with his own ignorance of the region before he overheard his Machop whom happened to be wandering around announce something.

<"Wild pokemon, want fight now!"> Chopper reported, knowing that even though his trainer would only hear his species name repeatedly, he would be able to infer what was going on.

"This had better be a good one Chopper!" The trainer said before noticing a Patrat whom emerged from the tall grass nearby Chopper's position. For whatever reason, it seemed to think it had a chance at winning, despite the obvious type advantage against it.

"Ugh, I was hoping for something tougher. Already ran into three of these things at Route 20, about as tough as cardboard," Mark growled in disappointment.

Phoenix: So... we're looking for an emo mushroom.

-Phoenix takes out his phone.-

-Mezzo exits a building to the roof, where she finds her sister waiting for her-

-Mezzo looks toward Fortis-

Fortis: But anyway, I've been thinking a lot... about the future, and my place in things.

-Mezzo blinks-

Mezzo: That's oddly mature for you. What do you mean, like how you want to make Elite Four someday?

Fortis: Uh huh. That and other things.

Mezzo: You know, it's weird to see you actually growing up. You're almost 16 now.

-Fortis nods-

Mezzo: So what happened to you after you flew through the tear in the sky?

-You know, it's interesting. Just yesterday, Kaito was barely able to handle themself over a pretty lady. Granted, that pretty lady was a literal deity, but they were a mess even before they found that out.-

-Just before that, Kaito had been incredibly stressed out, with headaches from knowing somewhere, somehow, the dumb boy they're attracted to was doing something absolutely stupid.-

-But now? They're relaxed. They're cheerful. They look like they've gotten the best sleep in their life. Maybe it's because they took the prophecy they received from Kuu into consideration. Let not your heart be poured into the past, for time does not stop. Maybe they're letting go of the past.-

-Or maybe it's because they swabbed tongues with an archfae queen.-

-Okay, so, imagine you came home from a long day at work, to find out that someone had broken into your house for the express purpose of organizing your belongings, vacuuming the floors, cleaning the counters, washing the dishes, taking out the trash, and then moving all applicable furniture exactly one-and-five-eighths inches to the left, all without actually taking any of your belongings. If you can picture your reaction to that, then you have a good idea what Kaito's Aura is like to any who can read it. Something happened, and it's not necessarily something bad, but it feels... askew. Apparently, in a way that is ultimately positive.-

-The best way to describe what Kaito is now, is "fae-touched." Not full fae, by no means. Their encounter with Kuu was brief, fleeting, and didn't amount to any world-shattering change. Just a taste, literally, of an otherworldly life.-

-And everything about them seems a bit brighter because of it.-

-Mezzo screams as she tumbles toward the ground-

-but then, her descent is halted by an unknown force-

-Fortis lets out a small gasp-

-and a particular Lapras pokes her head out from around the corner-

Siren: <Whoa, that was close. If I hadn't caught you, you would've gone splat for sure.>

Fortis: Oh my gosh! Piano, are you okay?

-Siren gently lowers Mezzo to the ground, then releases her-

Mezzo: Uh, I'm a little unnerved, but I'm all right. Hey Fortis, next time you want a private talk, don't do it on top of a high place, okay?

Fortis: Uh huh! I'll be more careful next time!
