Phaz looks at Spinme who is breathing heavily and looking intently.

"...Peoples call me Phaz."

Disgruntled Spinme.

"And I'll probably go with you actually yeah. Getting tired of her."

Hokulani Observatory

Sylveon looked at Lucario.

Lucario looked at Sylveon.

They both returned themselves.

And screamed. They screamed as loud as their vocal cords could handle without having any muscles tearing. And maintained that intensity for upwards of 15 seconds before going back outside.

When they were back, Sylveon was in no mood to battle and Lucario D.C. was tugging on his Expert Belt with enough force for his fur to possibly catch fire from the friction alone.

<Again, not really from here,> he reiterated. <I assume there's an answer for non-natives like us who are not privy to the local Pokemon,> he mused.

Hyul Shore

"Sounds good; where to start?" Colton asked Phaz.

Phaz shrugs

Phaz: "...Let's start with the closest. Where are we? Near the Hyule Flatlands or Oron Mountains? Because it looks like the best to start."

-Hyp started heading southeast, in the direction of a forest-

Sophocles: "That's fair. You did guess it correctly."

-to the machine- "Charjabug!"

-A Charjabug then leaps in the direction of Sophocles-

Sophocles: "Agh! Not me!"

"Well, without any [cardinal directions] on the map, it's really hard to get an idea of where is where. Both areas you described are in the south or eastern areas, so it'll be a mite tricky to find out where is where," he reasoned.

"Let's just start with that statue that moves a few minutes ago for the sake of convenience, 'kay?" He offered.

Hokulani

Musing over how embarrassing that was before knowing the problem, Sylveon took action. <ABOUT FUCKING TIME!> She hollered while also having some stars prepared to fire.

Her Quick Claw fell out from behind her ear, drained.

Malie City

-Ludmilla huffs as she chomps into a malasada. She's been everywhere on this island and still can't find the Kahuna.-

-She eats her malasada in as disgruntled a manner as possible.-

-Meanwhile, Bromine and Marshadow are hiding in an unused attic.-

-Bromine is trying on a bunch of old play costumes. Right now he looks like the cultural lovechild of Chaucer and King Kamehameha. Marshadow is having a giggle fit.-

-Lightning without clouds crackles through the air.-

Phaz scratches his head

Phaz: "Alright, fair enough. Let's do this I guess. What's your nick by the way? You know mine, so..."

Meanwhile Spinme just kinda follows Hyp, not sure.

"The name's Colton," he introduced. "Phaz, right?" He reaffirmed while starting his walk to the statue.

-The Charjabug gets hit by the Swift-

-Sophocles, thankfully, doesn't-

-The Charjabug then charjes at Sylveon with a Spark-

Sylveon contemplated her next move before noticing there was an electric-type bug charging right for her. She steeled her nerves before taking the hit like a boss.

Recovering, she drew on some of her own powaz before sending them out offensively at the Bug-type.

D.C. was still just in the corner, not really doing much of anything.

Hyul Port

Phaz: "Yep. That looks like a Groudon by the way. Maybe it's..." looks map "Gerudo Desert. No wait, Ger Desert."

Spinme: "Deal with that, I-don't-know-what-you-just-said mon."

Mount Lanakila Pokemon Center

In a room at the Center, after a restless night, Lucius is pacing up and down while Bishop sits by the window.

Lucius: Ugh, I am really not looking forward to this...

Bishop: <It's only the one phone call.>

Lucius: Yeah, but I haven't spoken to my mother for at least two years, and there's a damn good reason for that.

Bishop: <You are going to have to tell her at some point. Better sooner rather than later, so that she doesn't think you deliberately withheld the information.>

Lucius: Fat chance of that. I'd be surprised if she even still has my number.

Nevertheless, he takes out his phone and chooses his mother's name from the contacts list. After a few rings, a woman's voice answers the call.

Woman: Hello?

Lucius: Hey, Mom.

Woman Lucius's Mother: Oh, hello, Lucius. I wasn't expecting to hear from you today.

The line is quiet for a moment.

Lucius: ...How're things?

Lucius's Mother: Busy as always. There's a big partnership-slash-merger happening at work ahead of our next project, so right now everyone is running around in a bit of a tizzy. Still, I suppose I should be grateful that they're keeping me occupied.

Lucius: Ah. That's... something, I suppose.

He lets out a sigh, and there is another pause before his mother speaks again.

Lucius's Mother: Is there a reason you're calling me, Lucius?

Lucius: ...Dad passed away last night.

Lucius's Mother: Oh.

There is a long silence.

Lucius: ...That's it? Just "oh"?

Lucius's Mother: What else do you want me to say? I haven't seen or heard from your father for years. We went our separate ways a long time ago. I understand this must be difficult for you, but it doesn't really concern me.

Lucius: You don't even want to know when the funeral is?

Lucius's Mother: Lawrence and I didn't part ways on good terms. He was always a private man, I'm sure he wouldn't mind me not being there. Besides, some of us have to work for a living, Lucius. Even if I wanted to attend, I'm quite preoccupied at the moment. Zoe is proving immensely difficult to deal with right now.

Lucius: ...Right. How is Zoe, by the way?

Lucius's mother sighs.

Lucius's Mother: Stubborn, as always. She's refusing to talk to me because I'm refusing to indulge her fantasies.

Lucius: Fantasies?

Lucius's Mother: She keeps insisting she's not a girl anymore. That I should be calling her "Liam" now. I honestly couldn't tell you what's changed, but-

Lucius: Seriously?

Lucius's Mother: I know. It's ridiculous, quite frankly.

Lucius: No, I mean this is how I find out that my only sibling is trans?

Lucius's Mother: It's a phase, Lucius. Encouraging her isn't going to-

Lucius: Shut up.

There is a long pause.

Lucius's Mother: ...Excuse me?

Lucius: Just shut up, okay? Shut up with the indifference, and the misgendering, and actually listen to someone in your family for once in your fucking life. I know that must be a new experience for you, but give it a try, you might learn something.

Lucius's Mother: That is no way to talk to your mother, young ma-

Lucius: Oh, it isn't? I wouldn't know! I wouldn't know because you were never a part of my fucking life! Not once in my twenty years have you shown a shred of concern for my health, or interest in my hobbies, or anything! Hell, the only reason you ever paid any attention to Liam was to pile pressure and anxiety on top of him because you wanted him to be this perfect prodigy rather than a human being with a normal, healthy childhood!

Lucius's Mother: ...I only ever wanted what was best for the two of you.

Lucius: No, you wanted as little to do with me as possible, and you wanted Liam to be a blank slate you could scrawl all over. You've never cared about either of us! Dad might've been a terrible father, but even when he was working with people who were trying to kill me, he at least gave half a shit about how I was and what I wanted! Do you have any idea where I am? What I'm doing right now?

Lucius's Mother: I don't see how that's releva-

Lucius: Do you even know my starter's name?

There is a long silence before his mother replies, her voice icy.

Lucius's Mother: ...Lucius, you're being very unfair right now.

Lucius: No, I don't think I am. I don't think it's unfair to expect you to know the basic fucking essentials about your children's lives, like their names or their pronouns or their general wellbeing. If you think that's unreasonable, then don't bother calling me again. You've been not doing it for twenty years now, I'm sure it shouldn't be that hard.

He hangs up and tosses his phone into his bag in disgust.

Bishop: <...I assume she won't be coming to the funeral, then?>

Lucius: No. No she will not.

He sighs and rubs his forehead.

Lucius: Ugh, I'm gonna go take a walk...

He starts heading outside.

Hyul

Hyp: <Pf, one of humans that not understand? Why follow anyway?>

-That said, he continues on regardless-

-The Moonblast hits the Charjabug, who falls to low health-

-They then retaliate with a Discharge-

Sylveon staggered under the electric barrage. Mostly just that it was a little more powerful than she had anticipated.

She recollected her Quick Claw, fully aware of the fact that it wouldn't do jack to help her out right now, and fired off another Swift.

-This Swift proves too much for the Charjabug and they faint-

Gina: Great. Now what?

Duolis: Seems our only way of getting her back is doing these challenges...

D.C. clarified, <She wants the next question.>

-PEFE!Every, for her own reasons, has been eavesdropping-

PEFE!Every: ...Dude. Your mom sucks.

Jester smiled and clapped two tiny hands, as servant Guardians marched in with a menu and a soft looking chair.

"Aaaaaah," Jester relaxed in his throne, "So tell me. Sorceress of the Warp, what was that like? Holding life and death in your hands? What did you do exactly? Anything creative? Like one big Cakeoligical singularity?!"

-After taking one of the snacks from the tray and pocketing it instead of eating it, Pent scanned the skyline and picked out what he estimated was the way to the deepest part of the forest on the map-
