Seemingly unprompted, Colton put a hand to his face. Less a legendary facepalm and more a refusal of eye contact.

"I know that chuckle," he began. "the kind of pseudo-disingenuous chuckle used when no one knows how to continue a conversation, so they feign shared mirth so that the other continues. It's something I've seen countless times; I have accidentally managed to brutally murder a conversation with every single 'mon that I have. Not counting my newest addition, but I AM counting ALL THREE personalities Lucario has."

He whipped out his headphones and draped them over his neck. "I guess that's why these remain intact when I'm Talbain; some cosmic force knows I'm no social butterfly, and even dissuades interaction." He realized.

-And fires a Sludge Bomb, which take out a quarter of Lucani's and poisons him, but gets taken out by Lucani's second Energy Ball-

That response prompted the most genuine smile the Unovan had worn in a good while. He seemed incredibly relieved. "That response told me everything.

"Legends are still subject to social awkwardness," he said as he shook his head. Then he recalled the spiel he went on. "Oh, yeah, that. Yeah, something to know about me - it's hard for me to stop talking when I get going.

"I think the conversation was originally about your shapeshifting and doing it on the fly," The Great Ball opened and Amaterasu materialized. "with the motivation that I wanted my own alternate form to evolve," she eyed Colton and lifted her tails up behind his head. "and then I deconstructed my own social awkwardness and here we are n-OW!" He was interrupted with a few toasty tails smacking the back of his head.

<Shut. Up,> She growled before she returned.

Colton was taken aback a bit. "I try not to be fascinating," he explained. "I just try to go about my daily life, as little interaction as possible, discounting Pokemon battles.

"Those I find myself using to figure out how Pokemon, and by extension their trainers, tick." He said. "But no one really wants to talk to someone who can get into your head in the time it takes for 6 Pokemon to kick a fair share of teeth in. Or beaks," he added, remembering what Lunala looked like.

"So I kinda lived a normal life, with the exception of the only conversations I had having to be filtered through Aura or a desktop." He recollected. "Then I get sent on a business trip, encounter a Delphox that cannot understand or reciprocate a little kindness, someone who asks what's going on accidentally reveals he can speak 'mon, and the next thing I know, I'm a Rockruff in a mirror match realizing how I myself operate." He took a deep breath.

"Now I'm not sure whether I want to explore everything that's been going on behind the scenes, or return to normalcy," he mused.

Sylveon leaned into the caress, her feelers subconsciously detaching themselves from Colton's wrist. He removed his wrist fully and let himself regain feeling there, rotating his wrist and hearing it crick.

With someone this kind enough to listen, it would probably the last sensation he'd get there for the next few minutes. He reinserted his wrist and shook the feeler, awakening Sylveon.

He sat down for the Fairy-type's sake, both because it would be easier for her to reach his wrist, and so she could sit in his lap while being pet.

I have no idea what you people do, honestly.
