Entrance to the Lush Jungle, Sometime in the Past Five Days

Youko is finally ready to dive in. She's got her full party on her belt, Ki'i on her shoulder, Musashi at her side.

Youko: Right. Time to go get that damn thing.

<Musashi: Are you sure? You buried it for a reason.>

Youko: Yeah. That reason being I wasn't ready yet. I am now.

<Musashi: Alright, if you say so.>

<Ki'i: Yeah, I have no idea what you two are talking about.>

Youko: That's alright, you'll find out soon enough.

Lush Jungle

-from the entrance, Youko may hear an ear-piercing scream, followed by a squawky, irritated [Long Island] accent-

Joseph: DAMO! Keep your voice down, OK, bud?

Youko turns at the familiar voice.

Youko: Oh! Hey, Joe!

<Ki'i: Where' you goin' with that gun in your hand?>

As Joseph approaches, a Trial Guide steps in his way.

Trial Guide: Excuse me, sir, but if you aren't taking the Trial, you're going to have to turn around. Sorry.

Youko: It's cool, he's with me.

She flashes her Trainer Passport, showing off the Island Challenge Completion Stamp.

Trial Guide: Oh! Right, of course. Sorry about that! Go right on ahead.

Lush Jungle

Joseph: Oh?

-once the Trial Guide goes, he asks-

Joseph: I am? What're we doing?

Lush Jungle

Joseph and Youko walk as they talk, deeper into the trees.

Youko: Well, I am going to go dig up something I buried here three years ago, and you are going to keep me company. Deal?

Lush Jungle

Joseph: Sure! And I'll try and catch some mons, too, while I'm here.

-he walks-

So! Wat kind of things do I do to keep company with you?

Lush Jungle

Youko: Talk. Make idle chit chat. Be companionable.

Youko waves to Mallow, across the clearing, who is currently mid Trial with some hopeful, local kid. She waves back with a huge smile.

-head tilt-

Joseph: Who was that?

Lush Jungle

Youko: Hmm? Oh, that's Mallow. She's one of the Trial Captains - sorta like a Gym Leader, but you don't directly battle them. Instead, you battle the wild Pokemon they help train. Specifically the Totem Pokemon.

Lush Jungle

Joseph: Oh...right!

-more walking. Joseph rubs up and down his right arm for a moment-

Joseph: So, what're you supposed to do?

Lush Jungle

Youko: Hmm? It's not much farther. The clearing's up ahead. Hey, you got any Psychic types on you?

Noodle House

Salvador smirks from behind his tall glass of LLB.

Salvador: Something special, eh~?

She holds out an arm, stopping Joseph right on the edge of the clearing.

Youko: Could you scan for any psychic signatures in the immediate area, and tell me what you get?

Margaret: ~OK. What am I supposed to be looking for, then?~

Salvador raises an Inquisically

Salvador: Can't say I am, why do you ask that?

Youko: Any powerful psychic signature; if you can get specific, tell me if its a living, active one, as opposed to a passive construct, or trap. A Pokemon, specifically.

Youko: Looks like we don't have to negotiate with Louie today. C'mon, Joe!

She steps out into the clearing, Musashi at her side.
