As such, all they can see of him is the back of a fuzzy orange jacket and long strands of bright green hair. He's doing something on his phone, it seems, so they might be able to sneak past him... might.)

-he stretches-

Ever: Ghosts are pretty good. Remember Muninn?

-he scoops up the Mimikyu, who grumbles but acquiesces-

Ever: He's adorable now!

So how'd you get here? Nobody lets me fly.

Tangent: -frowns, massaging one of his temples-

Muninn... sorry, I'm having a brainfart. Cute Latios sheet though.

But it turns out it's pretty traditional for Charizard to be registered as Ride Pokemon around here. I have not seen any Driftblim or Chandrelure, though, so your luck may vary.

-Sol makes a "be quiet!" gesture, after which he and Ton release a Breloom and Mr. Mime from silenced Poke Balls-

BreBre: -tenses up, looking around to pinpoint the buzzing's source-

Presta: -begins miming a staircase to sneak above the green-haired person's head-

-The buzzing noise grows louder as Brebre approaches it-

(Culverton does not notice Presta. His Mimikyu, however, does.)

(Best Berry's VP Mergers and Acquisitions is distracted from his text-message conversation by a felt Lunala head repeatedly and urgently nudging his leg.)

Culverton: Oh? What is it, Citron?

Heahea City

Ever: Oh, he's this Latios that tried to kill me a couple times. Obviously, he wasn't very good at it.

-he pets Muninn, who sighs-

Ever: Wait, you can just...get Pokemon registered?

Ultra Space, Nihilego Forest [?]

Not one, not three, but two Nihilegos comes from the bushes!

Nihilego n•1: {...and then I said to her: "What am I, a boy?"}

Nihilego n•2: {Ahahah! Wait. What's that?}

Nihilego n•1: {...Easy prey!}

Phaz: Hmm... Two? I think we can take them down.

Fight! Exploration Team versus two random Nihilegos!

Phaz: Do not touch this thing! It got-

Ashley: <Venom! That's what C.C. was harvesting!>

Phaz: Use ranged attacks!

Embry used Dark Pulse! Takumi used Razor Leave! Cynthia used Psychic! Ashley casted Inferno!

Tangent: ....you get up to a lot when I'm not around. o_O

Well, there's some bureaucracy involved in getting Pokemon registered, but it's usually pretty drama-free.

-suitcases drop to the floor next to a desk-

-they were dropped by a man-

-a man who is now at the desk-

Sol: Presta, diversion

-Presta uses Confusion to fling Culverton's cell phone down the hallway, clattering along at high speed-

Presta: <I hope he was just about to hit send.>

-Brebre carefully peeks around the corner the buzzing is coming from-

Heahea City

Ever: Basket was there, you could ask them.

-he shrugs-

Ever: I guess I'll check it out, then. See if I can get Marmalade registered.

Team Iron Auxiliary Base

-Orlandeau sits at his desk, his brother-in-law on a screen across from him. Sitting between them is an opened box.-

-Orlandeau finds himself at a complete loss for words, except for one.-

Orlandeau: ... How?!

-Cid leans back in his chair.-

Cid: A trade, per se.

-Orlandeau gingerly takes the package's contents into his hands.-

Orlandeau: No, but... HOW?!

Cid: Officially, it's still sitting in a Unovan evidence locker under heavy guard and electronic lock and key. Unofficially, a certain Unovan police chief's son is being prepped for surgery to receive the replacement kidney he'd have waited far longer than his chronic kidney failure would have allowed.

-Orlandeau's jaw drops as he stares at Dr. Bunansa.-

Orlandeau: ... how did you...?

Cid: I have connections. And trades of necessity are far more stable than trades of favors. Plus, what would they do if they found out? Fire him? Fine him? Jail him? He wouldn't care - his son gets to see his next birthday, and what else would they do? Take the kidney back?

-Cid takes a sip of gin from a glass on his desk as Orlandeau tries to regain his composure.-

Orlandeau: I'll... take good care of it.

Cid: See that you do. Necessity demands that you keep it in working order for now, but after the danger has passed I would like to take it back and reverse engineer the wonderful technology inside of it. Colress really outdid himself with this one.

-Orlandeau goes numb when he realizes that of course Colress was involved in the creation of this walking cane.-

Orlandeau: ... Right. Terminating communication.

Cid: Have fun, Bart.

-The screen goes to desktop.-

-Orlandeau leans back in his chair before standing up and testing his new walking cane. He may be quite a bit taller than it's previous owner, but he had to give Ghetsis some credit, he knew how to combine style and function.-

Tangent: Wait, who-

???: <HUMAN!>

-the Charizard lands again, this time with an Absol leaping off-

Absol: <I am still It, and you are still running! Arf and bark and such!>

Tangent: Oh, um, I have to take this, see you!

-Tangent exits, pursued by a fluffy, but still rather dubiously canine, Absol-

Heahea City

Ever: ...Odd...

Estoc: <I don't think you have any right to call anything odd.>

Ever: Hush. Come on, we're gonna pay a visit to someone.

(The diversion does not work as intended. Instead of running to retrieve his phone, Culverton whips around to see who threw it...)

Culverton: *gasp* INTRUDERS! TRESPASSERS! THIEVES! CRIMINALS!

(Within seconds, an alarm is screaming across the entire building and Citron is trying to Moonblast Presta off of her invisible staircase.)

Presta: <So much for stealth.>

-Presta backflips off the stairwell, then uses another Confusion to fling BreBre at Culverton-

BreBre: <You're with the vampires!>

-he spews a Spore attack at the VP as he closes the gap-

Sol: Plan B...

-he whispers some instructions to his last Poke Ball, but doesn't throw it yet-

(Before he can lob a third Pokeball, Culverton receives a faceful of Spores and collapses. This still means he has three Pokemon active, however.)

Piper: <Ooooh my gosh what's happening is it something bad?> D:

(At the sight of Sol and Ton's outfits, Dorian's lip curls into a sneer.)

Dorian: <I don't know, but so long as it gives me an excuse to punish these crimes against fashion I am perfectly fine with it.>

(Citron is now trying to rake his long, sinister Shadow Claws across Presta's face. Piper squeaks and Moonblasts BreBre at point blank range, while Dorian tilts back his head and sings a long, resonant note that wreaks havoc on the minds of any enemies who hear it.)

Presta: <Behind me!>

-she puts up a Light Screen to deflect some of the incoming attacks, but Brebre is still moonblasted back into Ton-

Ton: Oof!

Sol: -wincing from the Disarming Voice- Smash them up.

Ton: YES!

-she pulls her sleeve back, revealing a Z-ring, and performs a dance that would easily fit among Jojo opening credits-

BreBre was surrounded by Z-Power!

BreBre: <You have forced my hand, and now I have no choice but to bring out my Stand...>

-Brebre fuses the Z energy with a Solarbeam, forming a giant Breloom out of pure light that steps in front of the group-

-The buzzing is revealed to come from a computer monitor with Oran OS displayed on it... Which turns into several screens and several security cameras following the alarm-

Oran OS:Well, looks like we've got visitors to deal with! Ein, take care of it, would you?

-Paws rapidly pad down the hallways-

-A woman is cautiously making her way around alongside a Cutiefly.-

-Sol hears the approaching pawsteps-

Sol: The heat's on...

-he pitches the Poke Ball down the hallway, where a Klefki emerges and Thiefs Culverton's cell phone-

Sol: RETREAT!

-"Mycelium Spectre" punches a hole in the exterior wall-

Sol: There was a window right there...

Ton: Woo-hoo!

-A Midday Lycanroc with unnatural glowing eyes and Tron Lines lunges out of the darkness from the left and fires a Stone Edge at Sol and Ton-

-After a bit more searching, Hajime spies something Tauros-shaped in the distance-
