ITT: We are all Pokémon Trainers

Route 2

Daydre is making her way up the hill, Azure in tow.

I should probably catch another mon before doing the trial.. Using Rowan or Mr. Bitey would be overkill..

She looks around before carrying on, apparently seeing nothing.

Unbeknownst to her, Somemon is stalking her through the grass.

"Well, guess I should move on.."

???: <You!>

Daydre turns around.. and sees no one. Then she looks down. Standing in front of her is an Alolan Meowth.

".. Me?"

Alolan Meowth: <Yes, you. Battle me.>

"I.. Okay, I guess? Gues we're battling now, Azure.."

Azure: <Wonderful.> He hops over and gets ready to fight.

The Alolan Meowth also readies herself. Before Azure can react, she sprints forward and slaps him on the cheeks, sending him reeling. The Alolan Meowth then follows with a Scratch while Azure is distracted.

Azure: <Ow!>

Alolan Meowth: <Watch yourself, this is a fight.>

Azure: <I know that! T-that didn't even hurt that much!> With that last part, Azure lets loose a Disarming Voice. The Alolan Meowth is knocked back a little, giving Azure some breathing room.

.. I don't know what type this weird Meowth is, but that seemed pretty effective.

"Azure, Disarming Voice again!"

The Alolan Meowth charges up with another Scratch and slashes Azure before he can deliver the attack. Before she can back away though, Azure delivers a point blank Disarming Voice and she's blasted back again.

Alolan Meowth: -A little winded- <Hmph. Good enough. You may catch me now.>

"Uhm... Okay..?" Daydre looks a little confused, and so does Azure for that matter, but complies and throws a Pokeball at the Alolan Meowth. She's sucked in and the ball wobbles a couple times before clicking.

Iki Town

-Jason stops-

Jason:Oh, uh, yeah. I am.

Tapu Village

-the moment the Sandshrew faints, the dust Helioptile, which has been waiting patiently, fires a Charge Beam at Fuego to get his attention-

Akala Shore

-Narrow and Estoc, being of about the same level, are sparring, Narrow flitting about above the Dewpider and firing down Air Cutters, while Estoc responds with a Bubblebeam-

Estoc: <Get down here and fight!>

Narrow: <Not on your life, buddy.>

-Muninn, meanwhile, is swinging his claws wildly at a stump Ever has located-

Ever: I think when you're slashing, you might need to put more focus into making your claws tangible. That might be why you're having trouble hurting anything with them.

Muninn: <Don't give me advice, Ever.>

Ever: Whatever you say.

-and Custard is battling Pleth-

-Pleth is very much holding back, of course, so it's a more or less even match-

Pleth: <That is really astonishingly strong.>

Melemele Meadow

-Ludmilla sneaks up under the cover of flowers. She soon spots a trio of people in drab grey outfits gathering fistfuls of flowers.-

Grunt 1: Hey, my container's almost full.

Grunt 2: I'll radio in a replace- HEY!

Oricorio: <Stop stealing my home you meanies!>

-A wild Oricorio jumps out of the flowers and tries to attack one of the grunts. The grunt smacks away the bird away before pulling out a Pokeball and sending out an Ekans.-

Oricorio: <AH! Wh-what is that?!>

-The bird runs off as quickly as he can.-

Oricorio: <I'm telling the Tapu on you!>

Grunt 3: Heh, stupid bird. Never seen a snake before. Now, back to-

Ludmilla: Hey!

Grunt 3: Oh what now?

Shaun: "Nice to meet you, Locke. You done any trials yet?"

Hau'oli, past

Locke: The two here, that's it.

Iki Town

La: Figures. Follow me.

-He heads off-

Melemele Meadow

Ludmilla: Why are you taking all the flowers?

-The three grunts all look between each other.-

Grunt 1: I thought Taylor said they didn't do tours on weekends.

Grunt 2: They don't!

Grunt 3: Because, little girl, we need them more then the Pokemon do. We're only taking one little patch, not the whole meadow.

Oricorio: <That's MY home, though!>

Petilil: <My favorite spot is in that patch!>

Metapod: <That patch of flowers is my ancestral home. Generation upon generations of Caterpie have been born there, and upon their maturation they would return to lay the eggs for the next generation. What these scoundrels and demons do is sacrilege against the souls and memories of every single one of my ancestors.>

-Ludmilla takes pause at that last one.-

Ludmilla: Still! You shouldn't be messing with this place!

-The grunts all roll their eyes.-

Grunt 3: Fine then - I'll just get rid of you.

-The local Pokemon scatter and run at the sight of the grunt's first Pokemon, the Ekans from earlier. Cutiefly go out in every direction, looking for help.-

Route 2

Cutiefly: <Help! Help! There are people attacking the meadow!>

Hau'oli City

Cutiefly: <Mean people! Mean people in the meadow!>

Iki Town

Cutiefly: <Hark! Forsooth, upon mine house doth a shadow of aggression fallen! Hark, for aide is needed to push back the darkness!>

Route 2

Daydre lets out the Alolan Meowth.

Alolan Meowth: <Thank you for catching me, now let's go fight some things. I need to learn more magic.>

"Wait hold on a second. You don't want to rest or something first? And what do you mean magic?"

Alolan Meowth: <I'll never catch up to my peers if I spend too much time resting. I feel fine, now let's go. And yes, magic. Like the thing that Popplio did when he was yelling at me.>

".. I don't think that counts as magic. And what peers?"

Alolan Meowth: <My classmates at the magic school. They're all ahead of me and have been caught by trainers. I mustn't fall behind them... Now again, let's go train or something..> The Alolan Meowth is clearly tired from the battle.

".. No, you're resting first. Come on." Daydre recalls both mons and heads to the Pokemon Center.

Hau'oli City

Alana is around and notices the Cutiefly.

".. What's a Cutiefly doing here?"

The Tick: {An attack? I must thwart it! SPOON}

-They head off for the meadow-

Iki Town

-Ilya is looking around here when she gets the distress signal-

Human!Ilya: ...Not my mission but all right!

-she heads off-

Hau'oli City

-Alonya's Sallazle overhears the distress signal and smirks-

Salazzle: <Oh, don't worry, Sombra's on this one.>

-She rushes off to find her Trainer-

Hau'oli City

-Joseph hears the Cutiefly and sends out the Pseuteces-

Joseph: You remember the meadow?

-a brief, synchronized nod and he's brought there-

-SleepyHead and Foudre are out when they hear the Cutiefly flying by-

SleepyHead: <Huh... sounds like trouble.>

Foudre: <Finally a chance to do something!>

-SleepyHead casts a glare at Foudre-

Foudre: <Fine, fine. Let's go save them.>

-They head off in the direction of Melemele Meadow-

-Meanwhile, around this time, a certain costumed Delibird with seemingly long legs has come-

The Gifter: <Ha, more troublemakers? You won't get away with this.>

-She prepares to toss a Present at one of the peoplemons associated with Team Iron-

Ultra Space, Nihilego Forest [Day 2]

Phaz: Wait. Before moving, or while, we should heal them.

Cracks open bottle of Sitrunade.

Want some?

Spinme: ...Where did you get that?

Phaz: Oh, I just happen to carry a lot of theses. I never had to use Revives before, so that's why I don't have some.

Spinme: ...Give me that.

She snatch a bottle of Sitrunade from Phaz's hand.

Berry Best, huh? You've got good taste.

Phaz: Shall we move while healing them?

Soujin: "Uh, right, maybe healing now would be better."

-He is still holding the nearly 60 kg Heatmor as if it were normal as he says this-

Iki Town

(Alex had apparently dozed off under the palms at some point, because he wakes up to the sound of a swarm of tiny insectoid Pokemon buzzing overhead and Isbrand screaming her head off about "a dire threat that must be thwarted". By the time he's fully conscious, the Vulpix is already halfway down the route, her now-Goodra squire in tow.)

Alex: ...I guess I should follow her.

(Standing up, he tails the two rapidly disappearing mons at a leisurely strolling pace.)

Melemele Meadow

-Grunts 1 and 2 begin to notice all of the attention they've gathered as Grunt 3's Ekans gets Double Edged by the little girl's incredibly aggressive Chansey.-

Doomsday: <GET BODIED, SCRUB!>

Grunt 2: Get Taylor on the horn, we're gonna need him!

-Grunt 1 quickly snaps their coordinates into his collar mic as the other Grunts send out their Pokemon - a Kanto Grimer and a Crogunk.-

Grunt 3: C'mon! Ekans, use Acid Spray!

Ludmilla: Doomsday, Minimize!

-Doomsday shrinks down to the size of a Pichu, causing the Acid Spray to miss by a wide margin.-

Doomsday: <OOOOOOOH GET SHIT ON!>

-Amusingly enough, Doomsday's voice pitched up about as much as she shrunk down.-

-he responds by tossing another Bonemerang at the Dust Helioptile-

-The Delibird throws the Present, a weak explosion, at the Grimer-

-The Tick busts in on the scene-

The Tick: {SPOON}

-And piledrives the Croagunk with a Mega Punch-

-However, Alonya shadowports in behind the grunts in short order, looking over the situation calmly-

Alonya: You three keep fighting, I'll back you up.

-She sends out her Salazzle-

Sombra, Flamethrower.

Sombra: <On it.>

-Starts blasting jets of fire at her opponents, in particular causing The Tick to stagger back-

Melemele Meadow

Joseph: Uuuuuugh. And I had wanted to use my Cutiefly, too.

Alisa: <Criminals! Parasites!>

Joseph: Whatever. Merasmus, while you're out?

Merasmus: ~Yes.~

-he shoots a Psychic at the Croagunk-

Tapu Village

-the Helioptile poofs away into dust-

Ephemera: -Florges-

-the Florges then steps forwards and uses Disarming Voice-

Akala Beach

-Shizuo may approach Ever-

Melemele Meadow

(Isbrand charges onto the scene, here little body crackling with righteous fury.)

Isbrand: <Begone, foul rogues!>

(With regards to a certain stronger opponent, Sombra may suddenly find herself slashed across the face by a goo-encrusted Dragon Tail.)

Altair: <Ahahah, headshooot! Man, I love having eyes again!> :D

-The Grimer is hit by the minor blast, while the Croagunk is bombarded and basically flattened under the barrage.-

Grunt 2: Okay, what is THAT thing?!

Mister Taylor: That would be considered an Ultra Beast.

-Mister Taylor appears from behind a nearby tree.-

Mister Taylor: And that is why I told you guys to keep a low profile.

Grunt 1: Hey, not our fault that kid wandered in here and made a fuss!

-"That kid" happened to be in mid-battle with their coworker. Doomsday had since fainted due to Poison, and the Ekans had fainted due to a Double Edge. Grunt 3 was on his Gloom, and Ludmilla was on Cu Sith, her Growlithe.-

Mister Taylor: Dr. Alonya. I can't help but apologize for interrupting your weekend.

-He doesn't send a Pokemon out just yet, though he is rolling a Great Ball between his fingers.-

Melemele Meadow

Alonya: It's all right, Mister Taylor. I managed to catch up with Natalie, at least.

-Sombra is snacked for heavy damage righf back into her ball. Alonya scowls-

You try those kind of tactics with me, slug, you regret them. Go Harbringer!

-She sends out a female Absol-

Harbringer: -scoffs- <Dragon type? I know just the trick for those.>

-Rams into Altair for a Play Rough-

-meanwhile The Tick gets to their feet and lunges at the Gloom with a... Lunge.-
