Yes, we are. It's fine.

-Pent takes a moment and gets up-

Gimmie a moment to pack up and we can do this.

Ilima: "We? Are you two another of the tag teams we've had recently?"

Soujin: "Oh, I don't think they meant it like that. Just that we're both waiting..."

"Though... that might make things interesting..."

Route 2

Sure I'm up for going tag team on this. Helps speed things up at least.

-Pent nods and quickly packs away his camp-

Soujin: "Oh, thanks."

-A glint appears in Ilima's eyes-

Ilima: "Alright, indeed it will be."

-He heads off to go get things ready in the Verdant Cavern, but pauses for a bit-

Ilima: "Oh, a heads up before you enter the Trial Grounds that you may not leave them until your trial is finished unless you are willing to resume the trial from the beginning. As well, you are not allowed to catch Pokemon until your trial has completed. Is that alright?"

Route 2

Yep, already aware and perfectly fine.

-Pent sends out his Rockruff and smiles a bit-

Ready.

Heahea City

Shizuo: -blinks- Legendaries?

-Soujin looks down at Fairyflint the Heatmor-

Soujin: "You fine with starting?"

Fairyflint: <Yeah.>

Soujin: "Okay, ready, then."

Ilima: "Alright, follow me."

-He heads into the Verdant Cavern-

-Where his Smeargle is, letting out some calls-

-Some Yungoos and Rattata are stirring in their burrows-

Hajime: "Er... yeah..."

Verdant Cavern

-Pent enters the cavern, takes a moment to check out the scenery and nods slightly-

Three dens each then head to the back? Definitely manageable.

Rockruff: <Play time? Yay~!>

Heahea

-Shizuo chuckles and fiddles with the twig in his mouth-

Shizuo: Y'now, I may just want to join up with this J-Tea-

-pauses, then sighs and shakes his head-

...Eh, nevermind...

Mikey: <Uh-oh...>

(Belinda is here again, still contemplating how to deal with the problem of the impending Hala battle.)

Ilima: "Indeed! Good luck."

Soujin: "Alright, so..."

-He approaches one of the dens and a Rattata hops out-

Hajime: "Uh... something wrong?"

Shizuo: ...No, I've been knocked down too many times to try and get back up again...

-he starts walking off-

Mikey: -waving his arms- <Wait, Shizuo! Come back!>

Hanzo: -shakes his head- <His confidence is still crushed...>

Hajime: "Uh... if you're sure you don't have to, but... someone strong-looking like you seems like they'd have an easier time than someone like me and I made it, I guess, so..."

Verdant Cavern, Trial in Progress

-Pent starts wandering around to find some dens to battle their inhabitants-

Heahea City

-Shizuo pauses, then looks back-

-Mikey and Hanzo anxiously beckon him to come-

-Shizuo sighs, then walks up to Hajime-

Shizuo: Are there others like you who have made it despite the odds?

-As Fairyflint is Binding the Rattata, a Yungoos jumps out at Pent-

Yungoos: <Battle time!>

Hajime: "Uh, yeah, I think there are."

Heahea City

-Shizuo crosses his arms-

Shizuo: It's going to take a lot more than that to convince me.

Verdant Cavern

Rockruff: <Yeah, battle time! Hiiii!>

It's a fight!

-Rockruff charges in, Howling loudly before trying to Bite her quarry-

-The Yungoos is Bitten-

Yungoos: <Agh!>

-They retaliate by trying to Tackle the Rockruff-

Hajime: "I guess... what are you so nervous about with this?"

-The Rockruff is hit with the Tackle and rolls aside before getting back onto her paws-

Rockruff: <Did that hurt? Sorry but battlin' is hurt-mandatory> D:

-She barks and charges in, again Howling out before going for her Bite-

-Shizuo pauses, and then spreads his hands out in front of him as the palms and fingers glow gold-

Shizuo: It's having to deal with ridiculous superstrength that makes me feared and despised for my temper. It's having to deal with queerphobia for being an ace trans guy for more "normal" worries. It's barely being able to keep a job until I get a job as a bartender. It's losing that job because of the world's biggest asshole until one of the few friends I have makes me his bodyguard. It's when that friend's agency gets bought out by a Mewdamned produce company and he gets laid off, forcing me to head out to these islands with just my Pokemon for company.

-he balls his hands into fists and grits his teeth-

That a good enough explanation?
