Engineer: "Oh, I'm looking at these berries and the berry tree. I was contracted to make a type of berry harvester for a company here."

Locke: ...I think I'll pass then.

-he collapses on the couch again-

Alli: Aaaand I'm off to cheer on my brother.

-she recalls Gerald and runs off out of the Pokemon center, waving bye to Maggie in the process-

Maggie: "Er... right, then."

-She waves bye to Alli as she departs-

Route 2, Berry Farm

Ludmilla: Oh, neat.

-A Chansey starts nudging Ludmilla's back.-

Doomsday: <C'mon, it's getting dark.>

Ludmilla: Oh, I should probably be going before my Chansey gets upset.

Engineer: "Fair enough, see you."

-They wave goodbye-

Hau'oli City, Pokemon Center

-Ludmilla plops down on the bed in her little rented room. Cun Annwn sat at the foot of the bed, his mustache nearly level with the bedside. Ludmilla unclenched her fingered from around her Pokeball - they twinged and cracked, as she had nearly given herself a cramp with how hard she had held it.-

-She slowly and deliberately gives the ball a toss.-

-Out pops a medium-sized, golden-coated Growlithe.-

-The Growlithe gives itself a shake before she begins to sniff the area around her. Ludmilla watches on as the Growlithe's eyes catch those of the Stoutland. The two wander close to each other, sniffing noses. It doesn't take long before Cun starts licking the Growlithe's ears and nuzzling against her neck.-

Cun Annwn: <You smell like a puppy!>

Growlithe: <I- hey! Hey! I'm not just a puppy!>

-Ludmilla fails at containing herself anymore and leaps off the bed. She starts rubbing the Growlithe's ears, her belly, and the small of her back. The Growlithe begins to protest before her leg starts thumping against the carpeted floor.-

Ludmilla: Who's a good puppy? Who's a good puppy?

-The Growlithe rolls over, tongue lolling out of the side of her mouth as this strange young girl just so happened to find every single spot that'd been bugging her for the last few days.-

Ludmilla: You's a good puppy! You's a good puppy!

Growlithe: <I'm a good puppyyyyyy~>

Ludmilla: I'm calling you Cu Sith!

Cu Sith: <Okaaaaaaaay~>

-Later that night, Ludmilla had curled up to sleep with not one canine companion, but two - and one was conveniently sized just enough to act as a massive, self-warming teddy bear.-

Shaun sighed as he entered the Pokecenter. He walked up to the counter where the nurse was waiting.

Nurse: "Welcome! Would you like me to heal your Pokemon?"

Shaun: "Please."

Shaun set all of his Pokeballs on the counter. The nurse set them in the machine and turned it on. A beeping noise was heard as it healed the Pokemon.

Nurse: "There, all better. Have a nice evening!"

Shaun: "You too."

Shaun walked over to the cafe and sat down.

Cafe Owner: "Welcome! What can I get you?"

Shaun: "I'll have a Roserade Tea."

Cafe Owner: "Of course. That'll be 198 Pokedollars."

Shaun paid and took the drink. He was sipping it when the cafe owner set down a foil-wrapped heart and a small sack of red beans.

Shaun: "What's this?"

Cafe Owner: "That's a Sweet Heart. It's a Kalosian chocolate for Pokemon. And those are Poke Beans. You feed them to your Pokemon."

Shaun: "Thanks."

Shaun admired the crystal Ilima had given him after he had defeated the Totem Aloan Ratticate. Normalium Z, huh? Maybe Jasper can use this...if he trusts me.

Shaun checked his Poketech. 9:40 already? Guess I should get some rest.

One side of Iki Town

Simon: Alright, Madrugada...

(His newly acquired Popplio blinks blearily, briefly stares up at her trainer, then returns to giving the ground a long, hard look.)

Simon: If you're going to be a part of my team, you need a willingness to fight! I'm not a trainer who goes easy on his Pokemon, and I'm not a Trainer who loses battles if he can help it! Is that clear?

(Madrugada's gaze remains defiantly fixed to a pebble on the path.)

Simon: ...I said, is that clear?

(Blink blink)

(The Popplio finally moves her eyes to Simon's face. Said eyes seem permanently red-tinged and lidded.)

Madrugada: <Uh, maybe.>

Simon: I get the feeling that's the most I'll get from you, so I'll let it slide... but nevertheless!

(The hipster Ace Trainer thrusts one finger dramatically into the sky.)

Simon: It doesn't matter how apathetic you may seem right now! By the time I'm through with you, you will be strong enough to make lesser trainers quake in their boots!

Madrugada: <...eh.>

(And with that, she flops onto her side and falls asleep right there, in the middle of the path.)

Simon: [ಠ]_[ಠ]

The other side of Iki Town

Belinda: Alright, itteh-bitteh kitteh! First thing's first - your name is going to be Aziraphale!

(The Litten grins and paws at the ground excitedly.)

Aziraphale: <Aw, yeah! A name worthy of a warrior!>

Belinda: Warrior? Nah, warriors are more my brother's thing. What you get with me is a loving home and plenty of hugs! :3

(Suddenly Aziraphale looks a lot less eager.)

Aziraphale: <...wait, what? No fighting?>

Belinda: What - of course not! Do you think your new friends over there would be fully evolved if I didn't let them battle?

(Small yellow eyes dart from one catmon to another. Thera is watching Aziraphale with her usual completely emotionless demeanour; Klaus is staring with his head tilted to one side, intrigued; Vincent is trying and failing to cower behind Klaus; Pounce and Leon are engaged in a heated debate over what on Earth a "malasada" is...)

Aziraphale: <...they don't look very battle-hardened to me.>

Belinda: Oh, they are, trust me~

Aziraphale: <Okay okay okay, when does the fighting start? Can I attack one of them?> >:D

Vincent: <eeeeeeeeeep>

(Belinda's smile starts to falter. She's getting the feeling Aziraphale will turn out to be quite the handful.)

Route 1, around the Trainer's School

Tyto: <I thought we'd be in Hau'oli by now... I'm hungry...>

All in good time.

Pici: -Dryly- <...Well we've got a ration right here.>

Lucani: <Hey!>

Muddy: -Annoyed- <Settle down, all of you. Eating your teammate is something you don't joke about.>

All: <Yes sir...>

Lucani: <Wait, over there!>

-The Grubbin points (Well, at least as much as a Grubbin can) at a pile of Berries-

Pici: <Nice looking out Lucani, food for everyone!>

-But as the Pikipek moves closer, a goopy hand swats at him-

<Huh?>

-The owner of the hand is that of a Grimer, but not one like the ones elsewhere in the world-

Alolan!Grimer: <Food!>

-And starts devouring the Berries-

Helios: <She looks like...>

Thresher: <Some weird parody of a shiny Grimer, or Oscar. At least she doesn't smell like they normally do.>

Don't be rude you guys.

-To the Alolan Grimer-

Hey, would you be interested in going on an adventure through the Alola region?

Alolan!Grimer: <Hmm... what's in it for me?>

Getting stronger, seeing new places...

Alolan!Grimer: <There's plenty to eat here, and I don't need to be strong, what's so special about going other places.>

A hard sell I see, normally that works pretty well at getting mons to join me without a battle. Well... you like eating, right?

Alolan!Grimer: <Yeah?>

Then, don't you want to see the rest of what Alola has to offer dietwise? And not just Alola, but the rest of the world too.

Alolan!Grimer: <Hmm... Okay, I'll join you!>

You got a name?

Alolan!Grimer: <Nope.>

How about... Botuli?

Alolan!Grimer Botuli: <Okay.>

-She then immediately taps one of my spare Premier Balls and enters it, coming right out-

Botuli: <Now... I'm hungry again.>

Pici: <...That makes all of us.>

Let's just get to the city proper.

Takumi: <...Um... Yeah, this Trainer is weird...?>

Embry: <Oh hi!>

Takumi: <Oh, hi there! My name is Takumi the Rowlet! And who in face are you?>

Embry: <I am Embry the Larvitar! Are you the new teammate?>

Takumi: <In fact, yes! But...he flaps a wing in Phaz's direction Our Trainer... He's weird? What happened?>

Embry: <with a sad look Uuuh... It's that... we got other teammates but... they are missing... cheering up But there is a chance we will find them again!>

Takumi: <...What.>

-After the concert, Pent is wandering the streets tossing up between heading to the Pokemon Center for the night or finding a safe place to stow his backpack and sleep in there-

-Wasn't he sharing a hotel room with Susan? Well he was using the couch yes but... Well with the way she walked home with Latias in tow he didn't particularly want to be kept up by... Pent was willing to just call it 'bedroom noises' and keep it at that-

Hard Cash seems wrong for a place as happy as Alola... Welcome Home would require substantial rewrites for those menacing verses...

-The night felt still and cold not in temperature but in energy. If he paused a moment he could feel ripples and shudders in the dark, something may have to get done sooner rather than later...-

Gav's work is good but I'm just... I need to branch out...

-He breathes deep and lets out a heavy sigh. Next concert was a ways off at the Hano Grand, he had time to pick a solo piece fitting for himself and how he saw Alola...-

Alyesha tilted her head a bit confused and amused about the silent stare, promtly mirrored by the Rowlett on her shoulder tilting his head as well.

Cue Phaz answering exactly as Alyesha wanted to ask if something was the matter

Alyesha: "Ah, hope its nothing too bad. And I'm currently cooking a bit for myself, steak with berries, served on mashed potatoes along with sauce hollandaise... I can make you a portion as well if you want."

Fyodor: <Mhhhhm~>

Alyesha: "Ehehe... yeah, you also get a bit Fyodor.>

Alyesha had to chuckle again as the other Pokémon talked to eachother, although stopped when Embry told about the other teammates missing.

Alyesha: "What happened to your team?"

-Gogie stretches as he starts getting ready for work-

Gogie: <Mmm... will probably be nice to be done with work until September and be able to head to Alola.>

<Might be a bit warm, though.>

-Tale suddenly squirms in-

Tale: <Maybe you should go bald again.>

-Gogie stops for a bit to look at Tale-

Gogie: <...Yeah, I think I prefer my ponytail, honestly. If you want to be bald, you can make that decision if you ever turn into a human.>

Tale: <Fair.>

Gogie: <Besides... even if I do, I'd rather save it until after I see how this date goes.>

-Tale rolls his eyes-

Tale: <Ugh, right, the date with the human.>

Gogie: <For all your talk about trying to get me to look a certain way for humans, you're awfully negative when it actually works.>

Tale: <Inspiring fear and inspiring romantic feelings are two very different things.>

Gogie: <Well, again, you can dress to inspire fear all you want.>

-Gogie takes a harder look at Tale-

<Heck, I'm pretty sure that's what you're going for with that pirate getup.>

Tale: <Hm.>

Gogie: <But, really, this 'be human more, look tougher' stuff can get a bit annoying at times. I'm kinda unsure of myself on a lot of this stuff, so I guess I'd prefer if I'm the only one arguing with myself on this.>

Tale: <...Fine. I can accept that.>

Gogie: <Thank you.>

Tale: <Honestly... if you told me three years ago that I'd be with a trainer like you and happy about it, I wouldn't believe it.>

<So... thanks.>

Gogie: <Yeah... glad you stuck with me on this, I do appreciate it.>

<But, yeah, work time now. I'm hoping I can count on you again today?>

-Tale nods-

Tale: <You bet.>

-Gogie smiles and the two start heading out-

Phaz: Yeah, a bite of your cooking is always a go for me.

He's then asked for his team.

Phaz: depressed U-Uh... I don't really know myself. All I know is that i've woken up in Akala with only Volta and Embry at my side last day. Sooo... yeah. Apparently they're in a different dimention and we'll go back into it in like 6 days.

Takumi: <... Is he joking?>

Embry: <I wished...>

Alyesha fell silent as she heard what had happened, inan effort to cheer Phaz up she gave him a reassuring pat on the shoulder

Alyesha: "Don't worry, it'll be alright, trust me."

She pointed to one of the tables

Alyesha: "Just one minute, then you can eat."

Iki Town

Phaz: regaining his composure Yes, you must be right. Yet... Did I told you I had no memories of what happened during last week? This troubles me.

He sits at the table.

Phaz: to his team Oh, I didn't ask. Do you want to eat anything?

Embry: <I wanna taste the steak too! Can I have one?>

Volta: >Nothing, thanks.

Takumi: <Uh... Steak too.>

Iki Town

Alyesha shook her head

Alyesha: "No, you haven't, it... does seem troubling, if there is anything I can do for you, tell me, alright?" :)

She then gave a nod, holding out three fingers

Alyesha: "Got it, three portions."

She used a small fork, getting one of the smaller steaks (actually sizewise you should probably call it nugget) out of the pan, giving it to Fyodor.

Just a bit later she indeed had 5 plates in her hand, giving each Pokémon one, then Phaz while sitting down with the last one.

Iki Town

Phaz: taking the plate Thanks. I bet it's delicious. Takes a bite And it is! You're an excellent cook.

Embry: <Yum!>

Takumi: <I have to admit, this is awesome.>

Beat

Phaz: Sooo... Why did you come to Alola? I bet it's for the cooking.

Iki Town

Alyesha chuckled slightly

Alyesha: "Certainly partly, yes, the chance to use new berries and ingredients I've never seen before~"

-Beat-

Alyesha: "But a large part was my team, Alola is just perfect for a nice holiday. With them having worked so hard lately I just couldn't help myself" ;^_^

Iki Town

Phaz: Oh, don't be embarassed. It's okay to sometime treat yourself. I should probably do the same anyway. Enjoy the sun, thoses things... I always wanted to learn of to surf, maybe I should...

He starts thinking for a bit.

Phaz: Yeah, maybe i'll do that, when all my problems are solved. But for now, I'm here for the Island Challenges. Or at least one or two. It should be nice.

Beat

Phaz: Did you go to Hoenn? I'm from here. Maybe you'd like it.

Iki Town

Alyesha gave a light chuckle

Alyesha: "Haha, yeah, you're probably right. I guess I should close the stand tomorrow and just relax at the beach with my team. Good luck for the island challenges there."

She then shook her head

Alyesha: "Nyet, but I was in Kanto once, the landscape was just great. Maybe I'll travel to Hoenn at some point. I'm from Unova myself, were you ever there?"

Shaun sat up and stretched while yawning. Rubbing his eyes, he checked the time.

Shaun: Arceus, I slept in that late? I need to get going.

He got out of bed and dressed. Half-awake, he exited the Pokecenter and called Ace out of his ball.

Ace: <Yes, Sire?>

Shaun: "I need you to fly us to Iki Town."

Ace: <At once, sir.>

Oh, just a heads up, Seraph, that you're doing things faster than a lot of us and if you'd prefer to stick with the group, it might be worth it to do things a bit slower? Or, how were you planning on handing things, I guess?

Sorry, I felt like that was too fast. I think I'll just have Shaun mill about Iki Town for a while. On a sidenote, do you have any tips for my writing?

Oh, okay. Just was worried you might move too fast and not have people to interact with. That's all~

As for writing, most of what you've written is fine, but I'm kinda eh about Pokémon calling their Trainers 'master', but that's largely because I see Pokémon Trainer relationships as more... cooperative, I guess?
