Actually... Weddings can be done rather cheaply. Most couples tend to forget that If you can find accommodating venues and caterers for the reception, a couple can keep costs well below 5k (or 2.5k if you play your cards right).
General tips:
- The dresses and tuxes for the wedding party and the service itself are going to be expensive regardless of what you do, so have a separate budget for them.
- The shorter the guest list, the cheaper the reception will be.
- Try to find a reception venue that will cut you a break on a weekday time - prices may vary, but it's generally about twice as much for the same space on a Saturday than say, a Thursday.
- Also make sure that said venue will also let you cater your own reception - if the venue caters expect upwards triple the price just for the room
- You don't need expensive china and flatware to serve guest - they make some REALLY nice looking plastic plates, glasses and flatware nowadays.
- You don't need a 4-star buffet and waiters to feed your guests dinner - a meat and two or three vegetables and sides will suffice. Save even more if you cook everything yourself!
- You don't need a 5-tier grooms cake and a 7-tier brides cake - I've seen accounts of Ice cream cakes for guests to eat and a small 6-inch round cake for the bride and groom to cut.
- Note that HUGE amounts of costs can be taken out of the price tags for both the service and reception if you can convince a friend or family member to lend you their backyard (and a few rooms in case of weather).

Huh, good to know. Assuming Lisa and I won't need to wear a tux or dress, but good to keep in mind for the others. Maybe we can look over Edge's past wedding plans and see if there were any things we want to implement from that...

Phaz would find a very strange - although not by any means bad - sight.
Mireille and Magnus were both leaning against a wall while sleeping and had sunken together while holding hands.
Loran was peacefully sleeping on Mireille's lap.
Mistral was also still sleeping and judging by her face had a happy dream.
Sergey - thankfully now in human form - was sleeping on the matress... although e must've turned in his sleep while he was still a fairy since he was lying sideways with his head and legs no the ground - although that did not seem to hamper with his sleep.
Aicha all the while was in the process of sneaking up on Sergey, as she noticed Phaz and maybe company she giggled lightly and gave a mischievous smile while putting her finger in front of her mouth.
Aicha: <Shhhh>

He made a short pause to let that sink in
