-Joseph idly brushes hair from his eyes as he walks down a rather busy street, smiling a bit. It had been a while since he's really gotten out of his room and taken in the local scenery, seeing what Sinnoh has to offer-

???: -sniffle!-

-Joseph freezes in his tracks, his face contorting into a wince. He looks to his left to see a young woman with brown hair sitting on a bench, eyes reddened and tears streaming down her face-

Joseph: Wh-glrk...

-he begins to ask her what's troubling her, but has difficulty speaking around a heavy lump in his own throat. His lip begins to quiver, and his eyes widen-

Joseph: ...sorry!

-he manages to choke out a quick apology before quickly walking on, trying to wipe the tears from his eyes and figure out what, exactly, just happened. His ears pick up the sound of a rough, angry voice, clearly affected by cigarettes, bark into a phone-

???: No. Get him on the phone.

-a brief pause. Joseph's emotions are turning quickly from sadness to rage-

???: Get him on the fucking phone! Didn't you hear me? No, I don't! LISTEN TO ME!

-the pedestrians near the shouting man glare at him, except for Joe. He stomps away from the crowd, feeling as though he could exhale smoke from his nostrils. His fists are balled up tightly, nails digging into his palms-

???: Heeheeheehee! Oh! Oh Arceus, really?

-a high-pitched voice, emanating from an open apartment window. It bursts into peals of hysterical laughter, and it's as though someone took a feather to Joseph's nose. His scowling face turns into a wiggling grin, before he begins to snort and giggle audibly-

Joseph: Pffffht! Heeheeheehahahaha!

-a young girl, walking by with her hand in her mother's hand, looks at him quizzically. He only starts to laugh harder with the girl in the apartment-

Joseph: Ha ha ha ha hahahaha hee hee HAHAHAHAHA!

-he falls onto his rear against the building, clutching his stomach and heaving laughter, face turning cherry-red, tears starting up again. A few passerby stop, watching him with mildly concerned confusion-

???: You...OK there?

-as though awakened from a trance, Joseph's head snaps up, wide-eyed and streaked with tears and snot-

Joseph: ...huh?

-he stumbles to his feet, almost falling over again, before dashing back the way he came-

Another green world.

Pastoria

-Star is milling around when she spots DS-

Hey, is that-

......

-takes a deep breath and approaches DS-

Pastoria Center

-Joseph flomps onto his bed in the center, taking deep breaths to calm himself down-

Munn: So, tell me what happened?

Joseph: My...Heart started to overreact? Not my heart-heart, but my Heart of Gold. It didn't just sense emotions, it sorta...y'know, reflected them? Like, there was this one lady who was crying, and all of a sudden I started crying.

Munn: You mean you never felt other people's emotions before? I thought that was what a Heart was all about.

Joseph: No, I felt that they were feeling it, and if I was connected to them I could feel it too. But it was just everyone. She was crying, then I started crying. Some guy was really pissed off, and I felt ready to kill someone. And someone was laughing, like crazy laughing, and I nearly passed out in the street because I was laughing along with her!

-he sighs-

Joseph: This hasn't happened before. It's weird, I don't like it, and I wanna fix it.

Munn: That's good, hon.

-climbs into bed, nestling under the covers-

Munn: And how d'you fix it?

-Joseph shrugs-

CU, Castle of Reflections

-Ymir roars in anger at being deflected. He smashes his forearm against the far end of the bridge.-

Bridge Health: 91%

Dune: That didn't do a lot of dam-AAAAAAAGH!

-Ymir sweeps his arms across the bridge in an attempt to swipe the party off. Dune runs away from it before something grabs him by the collar.-

Dune: HLGLK!

Seiten: Don't panic, I've got you.

-Dune looks up to see Seiten riding on a cloud, up and over the massive Golurk's arm.-

Dune: Wait, you can FLY?!

Seiten: Not in the strictest sense.

Dune: That is an inadequate answer!

-It might be a good idea for anyone who doesn't want to get crushed or swiped by a massive arm to grab Dune by the ankles.-

CU, Delta Quadrant

-The reptilian creature's eyes snap at each of the incoming attacks and it dives to the side, it's wings keeping it upright as it slides across the ground. Even then, he's struck by an attack from the past aimed directly between the eyes, causing him to stagger and hiss in pain. His scales turn a shade of purple.-

Proton: [Okay, okay, we found something: It's codename is "Kecleos", and it was an experiment in Kecleon camouflage mixed with the traits of certain apex predators, like Salamence and Arcanine.]

-The Glasyabo snaps it's teeth together before opening wide with a large, sweeping Flamethrower, which Galvani quickly attempts to take cover from and only partially succeeding, her tail magnet getting singed.-

Neutron: [... Which would explain that.]

CU Castle of Reflections

-Well when you put it that way, Lane's totally done that.-

Lane:Ugh. I swear, by the end of this, I'm gonna have a fear of water and heights

-Ren and Abe no Seimei cringe as the Flamethrower washes over the latter.-

Ren: If if has Keleon's camouflage abilities... -sees the fur and scales shift to purple-

It has Color Change... Which means it has Psychic typing now thanks to Future Sight... So it's going to resist anything I can do to it.

Abe no Seimei: *Tch* Once annoyance after the other...

Ren: Time to see how well this works...

-Ren swings his cane as Abe no Seimei swings Glasybo's tongue from the tip of his shaku like a whip, using Psychic to augment his swing, aiming for Glasybo's right flank.-

Oh, been working on some writing projects, training my Pokémon, and currently I'm trying to help deal with the whole Glitch thing that has been affecting Sinnoh, although I get the feeling the others are running into a lot more of those than I'm aware of. If I'm going to be doing this, then I should probably be paying more attention to what everyone is up to...

-Sarah is in the lobby, doing something on her laptop.-

-Totally unsuspecting of anything that might occur.-

*THUNK!*

-A hollow smack reverberates from the window, followed by the sound of something peeling off of it. The door slides open a moment later, and a certain Clefable staggers in before faceplanting into the carpet. A gift-wrapped box falls out of her hands and tumbles along the ground before it rests at Sarah's feet.-

Selene: <That window was stronger than I thought.>

-Sarah blinks at Selene, then her gaze slowly falls to the gift by her feet.-

Sarah: ...Oh my gosh how did I forget today was my own birthday?

Pastoria Center

-Selene gives a thumbs up.-

Selene: <Glad to be of service.>

-She spends another few moments on the ground.-

Selene: <I'm gonna go get an ice pack now.>

-Selene flops onto her back... then her face... then her back... then her face... until she's rolled herself all the way into the kitchen.-

-The box, meanwhile, continues to sit there.-

-Sarah winces as Selene flops away-

Sarah: Hope that gets better soon...

-She picks up Selene's gift and opens it-

-Inside the box is an aviator's cap with a pair of goggles, and a letter.-

-Sarah stifles a giggle, although it comes out as a sort of awkward laugh-snort. She puts the cap and goggles back in the box for the time being, and sets it on the table next to her-

-A muffled grunt can be heard out of Sarah's bag on the ground.-

<I swear it gets harder to manipulate reality and not accidentally break something with the Glitches activ— AH! Here's the bag I'm looking for!>

-Keys sticks his head out of Sarah's bag.-

Keys: <Happy Birthday Sarah! You probably forgot it was your birthday for the same reason Ren forgot to set his alarm to give you this...

-Keys pulls out a large box out of the bag. A small *pop* can be heard as the box escapes the suction created by the mouth of the bag. Keys care place the box wrapped in orange, green, and white paper on the ground.-

<... Archive binging the first seasons of a couple of shows that were recommended to him.>

Pastoria City

-Sarah blinks at Keys coming out of her bag-

Sarah: ...Dare I ask?

-She opens the box-

-Keys grins.-

Keys: <I just used the back door~>

-In the box is an outfit with an Orange and green skirt with an orange and white top; a golden silk waist sash decorated with fake, but impressive-looking, rainbow wings; and a translucent gold shawl that shimmers in seven colors.-

The door to the Pokemon Center opens and a mud-splattered teenager enters the lobby, followed by an Alakazam.

Lucius: Maul, next time you set up a "Human Safari Zone", could you please pick a softer stand-in for Safari Balls?

Maul: ~Those were the softest rocks I could find.~

Lucius rolls his eyes, then sees Sarah and smiles.

Lucius: Oh hey, Sarah. What's u-

He notices the presents surrounding her and freezes in place as he realises what he's forgotten.

Lucius: ...Never mind I'll be back in five minutes I just need to post some library books and return some mail okay see you later bye!

He absconds, leaving only a small trail of mud behind him.

Maul: ~Smooth.~

Trans rights are human rights. JK Rowling preaches hate. If you sit at a table with five bigots and say nothing, there are now six bigots.

-Sarah waves to Lucius idly, but doesn't register what all he's saying because she's busy admiring Ren's handiwork-

Sarah: Wow... this is beautiful. Keys, tell your trainer this is beautiful. Also helps me disguise the real Rainbow Wing.

-She puts it back in the box, then glances up to smile at Lucius...-

Sarah: Anyway, hey, Luc—

-Who is already gone.-

Sarah: ...Uh.

Keys <Glad you like it! I'll let Ren know when I see him at lunch.>

-Keys waves before jumping back down into Sarah's bag.-

Keys -from deeeeeep within the depth of the bag- <Okay, who's the wise guy who put a temporal anomaly that randomly produces    toasters   ,    muffins   , or exploding nomel berries every five minutes in the middle of hyperspace? Now I got to spend all afternoon cleaning up this mess!>
