Chapter 20: Assault

 Powersave Base Interior 

-A Solrock trooper opens some blast doors-

Solrock: <Good morning, visitors! Welcome to Powersave Ba->

-is shot down by Mia with the laser bowgun-

<I only wished to spread sunny cheer...> -single teardrop-

Arika: ...That was kinda cold, Mia.

Mia: <Don't care.>

Dave: Well, sorry, but the longer we're here the less luck we're gonna have...

Arika: Well if it helps I know a more deserving victim we can beat up to solve the shield problem.

 Powersave Corridors 

-A Glitchy Mandibuzz in silver armor pushes a cart loaded with paperwork down the hallway-

-She is promptly tackled and dragged into a side room by Mia-

Captain Deskma: <Hey! Those were completed IF-55 forms! IF-55s!>

Arika: Better question, do you remember me?

Captain Deskma: <LP-484?! Of course! You never turned in your THX-1138!>

Arika: Well guess what? That was because I was never really in with your little game! I was playing mindgames with your mindgames, and in the end you just played yoursel-

Dave: Arika get to the point.

Arika: ...Follow me.

 Meanwhile, back at the boss fight 

-The party is shooting at wild abandon at the zombie-level-thralled troopers, who are firing attacks en-masse back that everyone haphazardly dodges with mixed success, not helped by Kylo Robin swooping in with claw strikes and using glitch tendrils to absorb the biomass of fallen troopers-

 Shield Control Room 

-Arika is holding Deskma at clawpoint as she fiddles with a control panel-

Arika: You want me to rip that beak right off your face? Get those shields down.

-To Dave-

...Especially since if this works we're gonna need to rush to find Ammy and... Robin.

Dave: Don't worry, we're not leaving without either.

-Arika hesitates before nodding sternly; just then Deskma disables the shields-

Captain Deskma: <You can't be so stupid as to think it will be this easy! Nobody filled out the paperwork for authorized shield deactivation! An alarm will go off any minute!>

Mia: <Who cares?>

Arika: What she said. As for you, what do we do with you?

Dave: Is there a trash chute somewhere?

Arika: ...

-pulls out one of The Tickets, morphs it into a marker, and scribbles "YOURE WAIFU" on Deskma's helmet-

She's all set~

 Rextance Base

-The Rextance members here cheer as the holographic projection of Powersave Base has its barriers dissipate.-

Fuuma: They did it!

Nico: Chrome, you've got the a-OK to go after the stabilizer!

 Hyperspace 

Human!Chrome: On it! Everybody into attack formation NOW!

-He exits hyperspace in his Mega Metagross ship, followed by Bozaka, Gorga and Pudge in their ship, Nandi in a specially outfitted ship, and Svin, a few other X-Nauts, and several Rextance Space Ampharos in theirs-

-They head straight for the now-exposed stabilizer and open fire-

Bozaka: <We got it!> :3

Gorga: <Barely any damage, though...>

Human!Chrome: <We gotta keep hitting it!>

Nandi: -sees approaching ZIP fighters- <...And make sure they don't hit us!>

-The assault turns into an all-out dogfight-

 Powersave Base Interior 

-Arika, Dave, and Mia are sneaking through the halls-

Arika: OK, now we just gotta get through those blast doors an-

-Notices Dave making worried, wordless gestures to something behind her; Arika blinks, then smirks-

Oh, right, this is where we find Ammy making her esca-

-turns around to see the window she's expecting but the boss fight she's not-

...WHAT THE EVERLOVING-

 Boss Fight 

-Everyone is making headway plowing through Kylo Grima's makeshift thrall army, but are getting thoroughly worn down, especially as Kylo Grima himself is sustaining himself by consuming his thralls each time they're killed-

-He swoops in towards Ammy just as she shoots down a Lunatone and grabs her-

   Kylo Grima:       Hmmm, those scars I left on you look awfully nice...   

-charges a claw construct as she gasps in panic-

   I may very well experiment with a few more...   

-At this WN-3411 scowls and charges himself with electricityr-

-Some memory stirs in Tom that causes him to not only do the same but set his to full power-

Tom: Hey, Glitch weirdo!

-Kylo Grima looks to him with a look that's merely mildly annoyed until he notices the blaster charge-

Tom: ...Fuck off.

-Blasts Kylo Grima in the face; he staggers back and snarls as he's hit by another, then several more, followed by Thunderbolt strikes to the chest from WN-3411. Ammy and Roger take the time to shoot down the remaining thralls and push them away to prevent Kylo Grima from absorbing the bodies-

-However, it's at this point Kylo Grima manages to weave out of the way of the blasts, grab WN-3411, and toss him straight at Tom to knock them both into a wall, stunned-

-He flies up and swoops in to finish them off, but is blindsided by a sudden Aerial Ace from Mia, knocking him to the ground. He attempts to fly back up, but several strikes from Dave's laser bowgun to his wings keep him grounded long enough for Arika to Meteor Mash him with her suit and send him sprawling back-

-He gets to his feet and snarls before hearing a much larger blaster cocking behind him, whipping around to find Hux!Lina aiming it at him-

Hux!Lina: Kylo Robin! Your insubordination has gone on long enough!

Human!Ammy: Lina!

-Heads toward her, only to be stopped by Roger-

Roger: Ammy, no.

Arika: She's with them right now, remember?

-Ammy grows silent and watches as Kylo Grima snarls and erects a glitch barrier separating him and Hux!Lina from the party.-

   Kylo Grima:       How is this insubordination? I'm doing as Supreme Leader Prometheus wants, aren't I? Destroying the enemies of the glitch?   

Hux!Lina: By sending our forces to their deaths at a whim and absorbing power for your own personal gain! You're serving yourself, not the First Disorder, and it ends here!

   Kylo Grima:       Really, Hux Titania? I'm Prometheus' apprentice and you're the one who's always trying to demean me and one-up me and prove my worthlessness in front of them... If anything you're the insubordinate one.   

-He grins-

   Though I've figured out a solution that'll let us both share the glory, in a sense...   

Hux!Lina: Wha-

-Glitchy, Mawile-esqe jaws erupt from Robin's chest and burrow into the ground-

-Hux Lina screams as the jaws emerge from the ground and snap shut around her; her muffled screams and struggling continue as the glitch around her draws her to Kylo Robin and absorbs her into his body through thick veins that start rapidly spreading across him-

-Everyone looks on in utter horror and disgust; most of the party fights the urge to vomit as Arika and Ammy scream-

Arika: LINA!

Human!Ammy: NO!

-they both rush forward, only to be pulled back by the other party members through nearby blast doors, which slam shut-

-Meawhile, Kylo Grima finishes consuming Lina, and his body warps, twists, swells into a smaller version of an all-too familiar draconic form-

   Neo-Grima: Yes... With her dealt with I just need to take care of those meddlesome fools...   

-He busts through the roof and soars into the sky-

   And they can't run forever...   

...Well... T-thoughts, nyan...?

Siobhan: "... Right." -She takes off and starts sortieing into the desert.

-The glitching of the child sped up as Volta pointed all that out. The girl made distressed noises and pulled her hair.-

Verigan: <Friend?>

-The girl freezes, realizing that she let something slip. After a pregnant pause, she sighed.-

Kiaran: <So, there are uh, Friend's?>

Mistress?: ....Ye S.

Verigan: <Mistress of the Glitchterhouse, will thee tell us who this Friend is?>

-The girl folds her arms and glares-

Mistress?: We've been watching you... you should be able to answer this by now.

Eterna Outskirts- Present

"Kiaran:'' <No,no,no! You're not interrupting anything at all!>

Audra: <Debatable.>

Barclay: <Not now Audra.>

Kiaran: <Oh and, Ark's right here!>

-He points the grumbling girl slung over his shoulder-

Verigan: <That is for me?>

-Verigan gently picks up the shield with a ribbon and examines it.-

Verigan: <.... Many thanks for thy offer of reconciliation oh Lady of Care, it is most gratefully accepted!>

-He slides it onto a ribbon and strikes a pose-

Verigan: <It shall become sung of in legeneds throughout time!>

Huet: Looking cool!

Ekundayo: <It suits you.>

Ralli: <Ya look like a dork.>

Verigan: <You wound me deeply Ralli.>

-Audra rolls her eyes at the shenanigans, before turning her attention back to Cynthia-

Audra: <Anyway, you obviously have something to tell or ask of us if you bothered to seek us out. Do go ahead and state your business Cynthia.>

-Sarah suddenly gets a horrible, sickening feeling and the urge to puke.-

-Since he hasn't fallen through yet, and based on the fact the bridge is glitchy pattern instead of the rainbow Tagg mentioned it used to be, Blitz proceeds toward the ark-

Just double-checking. Is the incursion stuff still in the past and people are just being lazy about adding that to headers, or are we handwaving it to present with the glitchstuck posts starting again?
