-While Magatsu-Izanagi is distracted by guarding his user from the Rock Slide and Flamethrower. The man is caught in Proxy's web and falls over with a thud, but disturbingly he doesn't look like things are going disastrously wrong... Rather, he chuckles slightly.-

Unknown Man: Well I will say that was a good idea in theory... But sadly you missed the mark. Magatsu-Izanagi! Take them out!

Magatsu-Izanagi:    Be GONE!   

-Magatsu-Izanagi's eyes flash and hundreds of sharped spears of rock form in the air above Lilith's team, which be gin to fall in a modified Rock Slide.-

(Quirinus takes a good while to respond, lying motionless on his hands and knees. When he finally turns around, though, those assembled will wish he hadn't - because when he turns, they see his face.)

(Cutting Quirinus's face clean in two diagonally is a huge, toxic-looking scar, its rough edges tracing the path of a blunt blade. It starts at the base of his left ear, which is missing large patches of the typical red fur; travels through the gaping, misshapen hole in his head that was once his left eye socket; splits his muzzle right through, obliterating most of his nose and giving observers a nauseating view of his shattered jaw and teeth, his tongue completely AWOL, before finally emerging through his right cheek. Without the mask, his heavy breathing sounds agonisingly pained, and it's not hard to see why.)

Quirinus: ~Why the fuck do you care?~

All Three: <Wow... that seems painful.>

They took a step forward, their attacks fading away.

Quirinus: (to Etran) ~Huh... thought a runt like you would be squealing when you saw what your kind did to me. Guess you're tougher than you look.~

(His ears twitch in response to something inaudible, but his sole remaining eye continues to leer balefully at the crowd.)

(Wilhelm strides in with the confident swagger of a man who couldn't care less what the boss thinks of him.)

Wilhelm: Boucher! You'll be delighted to know our old friend Arahat has found a group who'd be more than happy to establish a working relationship with us!

-The man chuckles softly as Magatsu-Izanagi Cuts through the Electroweb.-

Unknown Man: As I said, I'm just a man who was given a second chance to make the world a better place. -the man stands up- As for what I want, I want information. But fear not, it doesn't concern you at all.

-The man moves almost instantaneously behind Lilith.-

Unknown Man: Sweet dreams, girl. I hope you'll enjoy the freedom you'll soon have.

-The man strikes Lilith in the back of the neck with the side of his hand and catches Lilith as she falls unconscious and lying her carefully on the floor.-

Unknown Man: Now. For what I came for...

-The roughly takes Sherles' keys and security cards and activates the Sherles computer. The man's eyes shift from gold to a rainbow stripe pattern. Data and files rapidly flash across the screen as the man uses his powers to copy and transfer the the data into his very mind.-

Unknown Man: There. Let's go. We're done here.

-Magatsu-Izanagi floats over to the man's side as the crimson fog coalesces around them and dispersing as soon as the two forms vanish.-

About 30 minutes after the incident

-Lilith may wake in the lobby of the Police station as Sherles is being wheel out on a stretcher, alive but seriously injured. Johnson appears in Lilith's line of sight. Johnson has a bandage on his face, and a swollen left eye, but is otherwise fine.-

Johnson: You okay Lilith? That guy and that... thing just vanished - and that mist along with them.

-Phillip yowls, summoning a Blizzard!-

-The Onix is blasted back into the cave wall!-

Onix:-is now low reds-<W...Why y->

-And is subsequently bopped by a Great Ball-

-Phillip blinks-

Phillip:<M-Maria! Why would you wanna catch that? HE TRIED TO KILL US!>

-Maria giggles-

-She points to where the Onix drug their tail. There's a small amount of sunlight pouring in!-

-After being knocked into the Croagunk face board, Vierr rights himself, just in time to block a punch from Diane with an Obscuric shield. It shatters immediately, but nonetheless stops any momentum the punch might have had. While her fist is still extended, Vierr grabs it and slams her into the board as well.-

-They don't seem very keen on witty banter right now.-

(Quirinus laughs humourlessly.)

Quirinus: ~A knife to the face happened, kid. Enlightening experience, if you ask me.~

First off, why are they fighting?

The Sauropods were still unsure what to do now, on one hand they still wanted to fight considering that Quirinus was a bad guy... on the other hand it didn't really seem right, so they just wandered besides Malice, wating what they would do.

Quirinus: ~They all do. Funny how humans always show sympathy for me when they think it'll save their necks...~

-Any Aura readers in the audience will immediately be able to tell that this isn't supposed to be a lethal fight. We just don't have the kind of resources to go full Death Battle here, as much as the author would have liked to animate this fight. No, if anything it's out of pure pettiness and cockiness.-

-Vierr elbows Diane in the stomach, but it doesn't seem to faze her much. She kicks him back, and rushes forward to body-slam him. However, he uses her momentum to unbalance and throw her past himself, boosting the throw with Psyche-style self-telekinesis. She bounces off the ground, rolling a bit before getting back up just in time to block a blow from Vierr's Aurasaber.-

Diane: You do remember I designed that, right?

Vierr: Gee, thanks for the reminder.

-Diane grabs the hilt and messes with the switch, retracting the beam from one side and causing it to extend from the other side, right into Vierr's side. He gives a very undignified yelp and drops it, causing the beam to dissipate.-

Vierr: OW! Goddammit why didn't you tell me it could do that?!

Diane: You're supposed to figure these things out on your own!

-Meanwhile, back in the audience, two voices suddenly make themselves known behind Tagg and Jason-

Nightmare: ~Do not interrupt them.~

Spirit: ~They have tension to work out.~

Elysia: <Bow-chicka-wow-wow!>
