Episode 7 Act 2

-There we go, nyan!-

Chapter 16: The X-Files

-Arika, Dave, Mia and Nandi are all still standing devastated when a Rextance dropship lands in front of them...-

-And opens to reveal a certain Psychic teen in his Tremendous Thwap gear atop Grodus◊, flanked by both X-Nauts and Space Ampharos-

Nico: ...Arika? Dave, Mia? Nandi?!

Arika: ...Nico? You're the Rextance leader?

Nico: Yeah, why'd you think we put an X on it?

Grodus: <I and the X-Nauts able to sway the Space Amph->

Nico: -taps with his staff- Hey! Don't take all the credit!

-Grodus grumbles as Nico goes back to addressing the rest-

But yeah, me, the X-Nauts, and, to his actual credit, Grodus here got those Space Ampharos to loan us some forces from their Republic to help find both Umbra and a way to get us out of here.

Dave: Alright then, you manage to find any other of your cro-

-Suddenly a man with green hair styled like Flygon antennae, red eyes, and equally red-tinted spectacles wearing mostly-gold cybernetic armor appears in front of Dave-

Fuuma: David Ambrose! Nice to meet you! I'm Fuuma!

-shifts a bit nervously-

...Why I don't have a last name yet is kind of complicated, but hey! Good to see we found you and the others! You all like my Rextance armor? I got them to make a modification to the right arm!

-he shifts to show said arm is currently red instead of gold; he presses a button to make it flash in rainbow colors-

See, several times more eye-catch-

-notices Dave is looking at him kinda leerily-

...Erm, sorry, sir, I'll be off.

-He quickly shuffles over next to Arika, who pats him-

Nico: So, Arika, Nandi, Dave, Mia... Oh! Did you guys manage to find Ammy?

-Arika's look grows far more grave-

Arika: ...We did... But the glitched Robin... He took her.

Nico: ...Oh. Oh. Oh geez, that's serious, New Disorder's got half the team... Geez, we gotta regroup on Rextance home turf and figure out a plan... -telepathically, to Arika-

~For the record, wasn't expecting you to be Finn.~

Arika: Definitely didn't parse you as Leia.

Nico: ~This is all kinds of messed up.~

Arika: Oh, just wait until I tell you what Maz said.

 One planet jump to Plane X later 

-Everyone disembarks their ships here-

-Arika looks around amid the rushing Abra, Metang, and Mareep line mons until she spots a lone human in gray and steel-blue pilot gear emerging from a Mega Metagross-y UFO-

-She waves to him; he rushes over to her upon seeing her-

Human!Chrome: ARIKA!

Arika: CHROME!

-they hug and laugh-

Human!Chrome: Arika, you're all right!

Arika: Chrome, I'm so glad Gino was right on you being alive!

Human!Chrome: ...What?

Arika: ...Never mind, back to the point, how'd you survive?!

Human!Chrome: Thrown from the ship! When I came to no ship, no you, nothing! I'm just glad you're OK!

-blinks, looks her up and down-

Though... Where'd you get that suit?

Arika: -blinks herself, rubs the back of her head- Er, glitch messed with your clothes and my trooper uniform, not sure how to get it back to normal...

Human!Chrome: No, it's fine,it's a nice super-suit on you!

-Arika smiles, though while also concealing her urge to let out a happy girlfriend and happy nerd girl squee at the same time, before forcing herself to be more serious and look at him sternly-

Arika: Bad news is... Well, we're really gonna need your help.

 Rextance HQ 

-Everyone's met up here-

Dave: OK, so now what?

Nico: Well, first off, there's that superweapon of the First Disorder that needs discussing.

Dave: Well no shit.

Arika: And getting Ammy back!

Human!Chrome: What about the map?

Fuuma: -sighs, plugs the map into a terminal that causes it to display- The map is sadly only a fragment of the path needed to find Umbra, and of an area absent from any Space Ampharos records to boot!

Arika: -sighs- OK, so we all need to come up with a plan...

-To the side, Mia is being tended to by a Kadabra nurse-

Mia: <Me and Dave got shot at a lot.>

Kadabra: <That sucks.>

Mia: <We dealt with them fine though.>

Kadabra: <You guys must be brave.>

Mia: <Thanks.>

-Also to the side, Nandi approaches a familiar Garhomp-y individual contained in a blue-and white status pod, eyes closed.-

Nandi: <Who is...?>

Fuuma: -approaches- Oh... That's... My brother...

Nandi: <Is... Is he dead?>

Fuuma: No, he's in status. Asleep, kind of. We found him this way on a remote planet...

-He looks to a glowing purple light on the side of the pod-

...And thanks to a failsafe on the pod we can't get him out until the Glitch is gone from this galaxy...

-he sighs, pulls out a glass eye with a washed-out yellow iris-

We found his glass eye next to him... Who knows what happened to him before he was shut in there...

-He looks at the glass eye as he turns it in his hand-

I-I'm afraid we might never find out...

Aaand we're back! Thoughts, nyan?

Psyche shrugs. ~I think I've mostly gotten that fixed? I dunno. I'm just kinda taking it one day at a time. Believe me, this is the slowest way anything's ever tried to kill me. I'll figure it out. :P~

Eterna Forest Battle

-Verigan and Kiaran look at eachother then back at the shield-

Verigan: <Mine fere, have a helping hand!>

Kiaran: <Don't mind if I do!>

-Verigan uses Helping Hand to boost Kiaran's Night Slash attack. The Zoroark carves out the area Cynthia was aiming the moonblast at, giving her direct acess to the orb.-

Verigan: <Now flee with utmost haste!>

-The Sylveon and Zoroark manage to leap back onto the face of the Golem just as the arm is blown off.-

Kiaran: <Ha! Two pidoves with one stone!>

-The shape of the arm warps and twists as it falls, and what hits the ground is a rather large glitchspider-

Verigan: <... son of a Blissy.>

-Ark for the most part gives an unimpressed look at the spider.-

Ark: <Ralli, Barclay, Just go for the orb on the abdomin.>

Ralli: <Aight>

Barclay: <And here I thought that we were going to be left out.>

Eterna City Future

-Audra narrows her eyes at Cynthia. A moment passes before the Luxio grunts and turns away.-

Audra: <Feh. Fine. Apology accepted this time. Come along Huet, mystery waits for nobody.>

Huet: All righty Miss Audra!

-The two walk off to investigate other areas around the town.-

Psyche sighs. ~I see...~ She pats his arm. ~A pain one shouldn't have to carry. But tis the way the world goes sometimes, I'm afraid...~

-Dune and Deziree are sitting under a construction lamp on an inflatable mattress.-

Dune: Not exactly how I had envisioned sleeping in my first property, but it's certainly better than what it was like when I had first thought about it.

Deziree: And when was that?

Dune: You remember that one time with the Skarmory?

Deziree: Oh, yeah. Right after that?

Dune: In the rain, yes.

Deziree: Hehehe, I remember you being super pissed off that your socks had gotten wet.

-Dune and Dezi both have a chuckle at that. Dune wipes some sweat off of his forehead.-

Dune: You know, I think the first thing we need to do is install some central cooling.

Deziree: I am inclined to agree. I'll make that my project for the week.

CU - Theatre

-Jacob grits his teeth angrily-

Jacob: "Alright, I'm sick to death of all you stupid shadows!"

-Shiva roars again and uses Autotomize, several plates of Aron chitin falling away and unleashing plumes of black smoke and it rushes at Shadow!Ren, trying less to hurt him and more distract him and be a nuisance with flurries of weak attacks-

-Verax steps back-

Verax: "We may want to rethink this... I don't... know if we can win this one."

-Take-Mikazuchi shrugs and hurls his bone at the Shadow-

Velvet Room - Around this time in the TS Bubble

-Margaret looks up from a tarot reading she has just done to amuse herself, as if mildly surprised by something, and looks over to Igor-

Margaret: <Master, I feel... a shift. A disturbance in the flow of fate surrounding our guests. An outside force seeking to alter the course of events.>

"If there is no way to win, I will simply force a way."

Veilstone

Jason:-gets the program-Heh...thanks.

-He installs it and inputs Efreet's information-

-Beat-

-Bu-leep!-

-Beat-

-Chuckle-

Philemon: As do I. Igor. I trust you have no objections sending Margaret, Elizabeth, and Theodore to aide the contractors?

-Ren will Izanagi to Attack with a Rock Slide along side Shiva, however Shadow Ren only displays minor irritation towards the attacks hitting him.-

Shadow Ren: Pathetic vermin.

-Shadow Ren charges forward, into the center of the seating area as his rod glowing red, and causing a ball of solar energy to shine bright from the where the chandelier hangs..-

Shadow Ren: BE GONE!

-Shadow Ren swings his rod, causing plumes of fire and molten lava to erupt around him engulfing the area near him in fiery doom - but considering his size, that's a pretty big area.-

Velvet Room, Past

-Igor frowns. He shuffles his deck just to give his hands something to do.-

Igor: None, my lord. I have a feeling that someone is testing our mettle.

-He pulls the top card from his deck - the platinum-bordered Sun card. After considering it a moment, he shuffles it back into the deck.-

Igor: I merely hope we do not show too much of our own hands as we build a presence on the board.

CU, Theater

-Dune and Galvani are both now making themselves as "in the background" as possible. Discretion being the better part of valor, in this case.-

CU - Theatre

-Shiva is bathed in magma and Jacob cries out and collapses to his knees, clutching his arms in pain-

-He looks up at the Shadow defiantly as Shiva, still white hot from the magma and its form flickering and sputtering wildly, explodes into a brilliant display of shards and shrapnel before fading out of view, Jacob collapsing as well-

Verax: "... Oh hell no."

-Take-Mikazuchi rears back and hurls a blast of lightning at the Shadow-

Velvet Room

-Margaret stands up, grabbing her book-

Margaret: <Theo, Elizabeth, shall we?>

"If there is no way to win, I will simply force a way."

Blitz: ....

"I'm guessing that machine doesn't usually work like that"

-Philemon nods his agreement at Igor's words.-

Philemon: Margaret. Lead your sister and brother to where the contractors are. But as Igor said, the three of you may step in only if the contractors are about to die. We can not risk exposing ourselves too any enemies for anything less. I wish you all the greatest of fortune.

-Theo stands, a book appearing in his left arm, and then bows low at Philemon's words before following his eldest sister.-

Daydre swallows nervously.

.. Well, looks like this is it...

The lava quickly surrounds Arahabaki. The pokesona is on the verge of shattering, its edges seeming to become warped, when it glows a deep red... After a short pause of a few seconds,it explodes in a massive plume of fire. When it clears, Daydre is passed out on the ground and Arahabaki has disappeared.
