Tex: I'm not the one that punishes people, I just arrest criminals, give advice, and get drunk people off of the blacktop. Even if these kids were forced to do so, which would clear them of the charges, I have to arrest them. They aided and abetted a criminal. It's the court that decides to punish them or not, and if they decide to do so, how harshly they're punished. Even if I don't think it's right, I'd get in both legal and personal trouble if I didn't bring them in.

Tex: The judge and jury of the public court system. The jury is a group of 12 of the defendant's peers that determines if a person is guilty or not based on evidence and arguments presented by the defense and prosecuting attorneys. The judge decides the punishment and keeps order in the court. I know the court system by heart, but it's a really lengthy explanation.

Lucius: Whoa, whoa, slow down, sis. Could... could you let go of me? I'm not big on the cuddly stuff.
Zoe: Oh, s-sorry!
She lets go, looking embarrassed.
Lucius: What are you doing here in Sinnoh, anyway? I haven't seen you for ages.
Zoe: Erm... a friend of mine asked me to, um, fill in for her at work whilst she's busy doing other important stuff.
Lucius: Really? Aren't you a bit young for that?
Zoe: It's, uh... it's more of a part-time thing, really.
Lucius: Ah, right.
He smiles.
Lucius: Anyway, how've you been? I'm willing to bet that your summer's been going a lot better than mine.
Zoe: Um... it's been o-okay. I'm meeting new people and trying new stuff, so... that's good, right?
Lucius: Sure is.
Zoe: By the way, o-one of the International Police detectives-
Lucius: That Shun guy, right? Yeah, I know he wants to interrogate me. That's why I'm out for a walk, because I'm not exactly keen on being grilled by the police on what's only my second day of freedom.

Dani is now awake and sitting up in her bed, with Tara by her side.
Dani: Man, this sucks. Not only did we get our asses kicked again, but now I'm stuck in this stupid hospital with this huge scar on my belly!
She pouts.
Tara: Could be worse. At least you got out of there alive.
Dani: It's gonna look so ugly, though!
Tara: ...I don't think it'll matter.
Dani: You're just saying that to be nice.
She folds her arms.
Dani: So, when are we gonna bust outta here?
Tara: We're not.
Dani: What? We can't just sit here and let them take us in! We have to show them that nobody can keep Batastrophe and Helion down for long!
Tara: Right, because you're totally fit to stage a daring escape. Who knows, you might even make it as far as the door before popping your stitches.
She sighs.
Tara: Look, I don't know what's going to happen next. The Interpol agents seem pretty dead-set on an arrest, but... I'm not so sure about the other guys with them. Let's just wait and see for now.
Dani: That's booooooring, though.
Tara: I'd rather be bored than dead.

Tex: Legally speaking, we have to arrest them. We'd be in serious hot water if we didn't. As an arresting officer, I can choose to advocate for a lighter sentence, but I'd like to hear both sides of the story before I decide to advocate for anything.
