Hearthome - Poffin House

Diana is currently there trying to make some poffins while an older woman watches it alongside Soleil, once she finishes she sees that the poffins she made is quite... burnt.

"Oh dear... You still haven't gotten the hang of it," said the lady

Diana sighs. "This is harder than I thought it would be. Spinning that dough around all the time is hurting my arm," she said as she rubbed her right arm a little.

"Maybe you should take a break? You've been at this for a while," the lady suggested

"Yeah, I guess so."

And with that Diana just rested her head on the table, looking quite bummed out while Soleil just sighs.

Route 208, Near Mt. Coronet - Past

Sergey had his whoole team out now, all taking a short break and eating some Poffins.

Sergey: "Thanks. And we'll see, I'll of course give it my all to not totally embarrass myself there... huh look, seems its starting to rain..."

Note though that this was written as if Sergey was travelling alone, I'll try to write it around a bit although there shouldn't be any major problem

Reporter: Breaking news. During a contest, one of the performances was cut short, when the contestant's Pokemon tripped on a rope, that appeared to come out of nowhere. Also, a member of the audience claims to have been breathed on, despite nobody sitting near him. And one person claims to have seen a Great Ball, floating in Midair. These are only the most recent of these complaints at the Contest hall. If you go there, be careful.

Solaceon Town

-Etran is watching the news before he notices something.-

Etran: Wh-Where's Malice's Great ball?! I must have dropped her-

Eggshell: -I think she was already dropped on the head.-

-Etran looks at the tv.-

Etran: A-at the contest Hall? Malice? Are you trying to send a message. I'll go back for you.

Diana looks at the Ralts as it approaches.

"Uh... Hey little guy," she said, smiling to try to look friendly

(For a brief second, the buzzing cuts out.)

(Then a formless mechanical thing bursts into existence on an empty street, bristling with fractally complex layers of jagged metal and whirring circuitry. Rather than take any sort of coherent form, the Dimension Reaper just sits there in all its offensively asymmetrical glory, clashing horribly with its surroundings.)

(It takes a few seconds for the muffled voice of a Pokémon to emerge.)

???: <Uh, Snowy? I miiiight have messed up.>

Tastes better on the way back down.

The Ralts head tilts <Are you sad? Why're you sad?>

Blitz shakes his head and approaches "Pipit, are you bothering people again?"

<But she felt frustrated!>

Hearthome - Poffin House

"You named your Ralts, Pipit?" asked Diana, snickering

"<She's been struggling cooking, that's all, she's gonna be fine in a few minutes,>" explained Soleil

Blitz rubbed the back of his head, a little confused from the snickering ",,,Yes?"

Pipit starts to scowl at the girl, but is quickly distracted by Soleil <Ooh... Well, my trainer's pretty good at cooking. You could ask him for help!>

Flames....

Dying Flames...

-The attacks generate a massive cloud of dust. The shadow in the middle explodes into black and red shards.-

-When the dust clears, the humanoid Shadow Lane is standing there. Listless.-

Lane:-getting up-Ugh...

-He staggers to his feet-

"It's such a cute nickname, it sounds like a name I would have given a Pokémon when I was a kid," she giggles

I thought they'd be better off without me...Maria wouldn't have someone dragging her down...Tori'd find someone better...Iggy'd...have a better Papa...

-He shakes his head-

But...that was then...and...and now...

-He looks up at his shadow-

I...I wanna stop...I want to stop being a burden...I mean...

-He smiles to the group-

If I mess up more...so what? I've lost my old life! But...But now...I've got something better! People that care about me! People that love me!

-He then places a hand on his shadow's shoulder.-

And we'll protect them...together...right...me?

-Beat-

-The Shadow smirks and nods slowly, Decarabia, Lane's this time, nods to the boy before returning to a card. The shadow glows blue, enveloping the card, changing it's back. Now it sports a picture of a man hanging upside down from a tree branch, legs crossed as though they were a 4.-

The Arcana is the means by which all is revealed...

-The card shatters, revealing within a stout Cyndaquil with a pointed hat and a tiny spear in its paws-
