Elianne: My! Mary and Bluebell! What a coincidence, seeing you two.

Red glowers.

Red: One, don't call me that. Two, what are you doing here?

Elianne: What, a fan can't talk to a Coordinator in peace?

-Joseph takes one small step away from Ellianna-

Joseph: Whoa-ho-ho! Why'd you just turn on the smug?

Kaisei: "Er, It's a long story..."

"But, uh, nice to meet you, then, Cozy."

Eterna

-A couple hours later, the two have finished making the glasses and pack them up in a glasses case and wrap it up-

"Now let's just hope she and Duke aren't busy and deliver it!"

Eterna City

The lady in the red dress sighs.

Elianne: Ah well, guess this one was a bust.

She smiles beatifically. Meanwhile, Red is on the verge of snarling at her, one hand at one of the axes on her belt. Blue, as well, has already drawn her zapper, though is keeping it pointed at the ground for now.

Red: Cut the shit, Elianne. Why are you here?

Elianne pouts at the much larger woman.

Elianne: Where did the old Mary go? The one I loved?

Red: Fuck. You. Tell me why you're here.

Elianne sighs again.

Elianne: I just came by to say that Lazarus sends his regards. Oh, and your father misses you, Mary.

There is a flash of movement, and suddenly there's an axe in Elianne's face.

Red: Don't.

Elianne: I wouldn't start anything, if I were you. The cloak of the J-team can only extend so far.

-Joseph blinks-

Joseph: ...ok sudden axe what?

-he hears a certain name and pricks his ears-

Joseph: Lazarus...? Ugh, what does he want...?

Eterna City

Blue reaches out and slowly lowers Red's axe.

Elianne: Well, he wanted me to tell you that he's extending an invitation to you and your boyfriend to go see his triumph, in about a week from today. He says bring as many guests as you like. He'll be waiting for you on Mt. Coronet.

Red: Fine. You've said your part. Now go.

And the lady in the red dress does just that, her Houndoom at her side.

Once she's out of eyesight, the tension trains out of the other two women.

Eterna City

-Joseph, meanwhile, is a great deal tenser-

Joseph: Great. Fantastic. Munn's gonna get dragged into this bullshit again, and I'm not strong enough to take his place. Fucking outstanding.

Floaroma Town

Sarah: Hey, if need be, I could get in touch with Dezi.

-She frowns-

Sarah: I'm still not gonna let her "upgrade" my heart though, damage be damned.

Eterna City

Blue puts a comforting hand on Joseph's shoulder.

Blue: I'm so sorry, Joe. Listen, we'll back you up, ok?

Red, meanwhile, has stalked a short distance away, and is kicking an empty can back and forth.

Red: Fucking Elianne, fucking evil ex. Fucking morally challenged dad. Fuck.

Eterna City

"We also have to find out just where they are."

Eterna

Joseph: How?

-he turns around, frowning-

Joseph: I mean, you've got lots of cool stuff to use, and I'm, uh, reasonably sure that Red could destroy Mt. Coronet by punching it, but I've got no idea what he's doing! I don't know what he's up to, because he never gives any straight answers, not that I would expect him to of course that would just be counterproductive but it's just so frustrating and I don't wanna get Munn back into this! He had his fun being the cool dark world-protecting guy, but now he's had enough! He just w-wants to be calm and chill with me, but now they keep trying to pull him back in and it'll be my job to protect the world well not the world but-

-gasp-

Where was I going with this? I had a point.

Eterna City

Jacob: "I assume they're staying in a hotel or the center. I mean, what are the odds they went out and did something today?"

Eterna City

Blue: I'm going to be honest. It sounds like you've gone through, and are going through, a lot. But if there is one thing I learned during my recent adventure with Red - don't go it alone. You've got friends, you've got allies. Reach out if you need. it.

Red wanders back over to the two of them.

Red: For real. We're here for you, and I'm sure you can call on more of the J-team.

Eterna City

-Joseph pauses, before laughing a bit-

Joseph: But the funny thing is that I'm not actually going through a lot. I'm just sort of...floating about, doing stuff. That's why I'm nervous about asking other people for help; they've got so much of their own stuff to take care of.

-he smiles-

Thank you, though. If we need you, we'll let you know.

-sighs-

"The possibility of them going out on a date during her birthday truly is unthinkable" Hikari rolled her eyes.

Eterna City

Blue: Good.

Red sighs.

Red: Ain't that just my luck. See her twice in as many months. Ugh, not to mention dad.

Eterna

Joseph: Dad? Who's your dad?

Eterna City

Red: His name's Sean. He's... interesting. Whole family line has some sorta motto about independence and strength. Surivivalism-ish, but without the conspiracy theories or the racism. Any case, he's a major adventurer, and, to be honest, he doesn't care to much who's signing the checks, as long as he has funding. Ugh. I bumped into him while we were getting Blue's financials together.

Blue: And learning who my biological mother is.

Red: And that. Anyways, he's working for Lazarus now. Searching for some artifact or other. Blech.

Eterna City

Jacob: -He turns to look at her with a look of just pure disbelief and shock at the sarcasm-

-Beat-

-Then he looks down and mutters quietly- "Okay well I've never gone out and done anything on my birthday..."

-He looks back- "Okay, well, where should we look? I couldn't find a restaurant yesterday so..."

-Joseph frowns-

Joseph: Sorry to hear that...gosh, you guys have interesting lives. Munn, too. Is it an Orre thing? Because I didn't have anyone like you back in Unova.

Eterna City

"Well they could be in the center or a hotel, plus if they are on a date interrupting it would be just rude. So let's play it safe for now."

Eterna

Jacob: "Great!"

"... Well we're in the center right now, so we might as well try other rooms."

Eterna City

Blue: Could be. The place certainly's never really been peaceful.

Red: Yeah, I dunno. Could be just us.
