Vivian: -nods to Kaguya- <Yeah... well, er, it was just me, Beldam, and Marilyn, but apparently Doopliss joined them after I left...>

-Beldam turns around and leers at Doopliss, ignoring the group-

Beldam: <Great, now you've gone and screwed up a perfectly good gloating session! I was going to boast about how these idiots unknowingly opened up the door for us, but then you had to pretend to be Vivian when she was already with them!>

Doopliss: <I-I swear, that other Doopliss must have cursed me with bad luck or something! Everything I did before he came around was absolutely flawless!>

Beldam: <SILENCE! Stop pretending there's some other freak-in-a-sheet going around pretending to be you! That's your job! There is no other freak-sheet, and if you keep pretending there is, you're going to get all the punishment I never got to give Vivian, all at once!>

Doopliss: <...But...>

-Doopliss grumbles, and faces the group-

Doopliss: <You! This is all your fault! Everything would be perfect if you didn't go and ruin everything! So I'm going to make things as hard for you as I possibly can! You and your friends have a date with eternity, Slick!>

Marilyn: <Guh-huh!>

Beldam: <Freak-sheet! That was supposed to be my line! We rehearsed this!>

Doopliss: <Whaaaaatever! These losers are going down!>

-Vivian pauses, then moves forward-

Vivian: <...No... we're not. You are.>

Doopliss: <Look, kid, you missed your chance to be cool. We're taking you down now!>

-Beldam and Marilyn back up a bit, and Doopliss transforms... into a familiar giant Scrafty.-

Grubba!Doopliss: <And we're gonna do it in the most stylin' way we can!>

Grubba!Doopliss: <HEY! I'm more here than these other two!>

Near Silas

Lina: Nice to meet you. What brings you here?

Palace of Shadow

Arika: -smirks at Dooplis- Great! I get to beat you up and fight another boss I missed at the same time!

-Sends out George-

Play Rough that sucker.

George: <Prepare to be trounced, foul beast!> -does so-

Nico: -Sends out Melman the Shiny Girafarig- ~Shadow Ball the Frosslass from a range! I'll go in close to keep her occupied!~

-Rushes in to swipe at Bedlam with his psychic bladelets-

Melman: ~Not sure about touching a Frosslass but whatever. Tail?~

Melman's Tail: ~Got it!~

-Spits a Shadow Ball at Bedlam-

Kaguya: -to Marilyn- <Guess that leaves you for me.>

-Dragon Pulse-

-Maggie, Jones, and Slightly are a bit unnerved by Doopliss' choice of transformation-

"That... is admittedly not something I was expecting to deal with again."

"Um..."

"Well, I guess he won't be as bad without the Gold Star"

Slightly: <...Well, I'm still keeping my distance.>

-He rushes at Marilyn with a Feint Attack-

Maggie: "Okay, let's try this..."

"Jones, Whirlpool!"

Jones: <Get ready for a wild ride!>

-He generates a Whirlpool and sends it at Doopliss, hoping to trap him in it-

Silas: I have been traveling the world with my team. I like to explore.

-Grubba!Doopliss toughs out the attacks he receives, including a Flamethrower from Vivian, although he does take a fair amount of damage from the Play Rough-

Grubba!Doopliss: <Hah! I might not have a Star to drain ya with, but I can still do everythin' else the ol' Grubba could do!>

-Meanwhile, Beldam and Marilyn take a fair bit more damage from the attacks they receive-

Beldam: <Ack! Marilyn! Destroy them!>

Marilyn: <Guh!>

-Marilyn uses Thunder on Jones. Meanwhile, Beldam blasts Nico back with a Shadow Ball.-

Near Silas

Lina: Likewise. For a long time, in fact...

Palace Of Shadow

-Kaguya tries a Psychic on Marilyn-

-Nico's knocked back by the Shadow Ball, but tries to telekinetically shove Bedlam into another of Melman's-

-George just Play Roughs again-

Sholto: "Yeah."

-Hacks would then hear a voice a lot like his-

Hacks?: "Granted, being good at mimicry helps too."

Palace of Shadow

-Jones is struck by the Thunder-

Jones: <Rrgh...>

Slightly: <Hey!>

-He rushes at Marilyn with another Feint Attack-

Maggie: "...Can't say I'm surprised about that."

"Keep at it, Jones!"

Jones: <Right...>

-This time, he sprays a Scald at Grubba-

   Palace of Shadow   

-Vivian uses another Flamethrower on Doopliss. He is hit again by the mass of attacks, taking a little bit more damage than before.-

Grubba!Doopliss: <Gah... c'mon, I haven't even gotten warmed up yet!>

-He uses Bulk Up, then jumps and slams into the ground with an Earthquake that somehow doesn't affect his allies. The team may notice that the attack is a fair bit weaker than the real Grubba's were.-

-Meanwhile, Marilyn recoils and uses Discharge against the team. Beldam is pushed back by Nico, but manages to phase under the ground to dodge the Shadow Ball.-

-Everyone's hit by the Discharge and Earthquake (minus Kaguya for latter)-

-George is hurt noticeably by latter, but Play Roughs Grubba!Doopliss yet again anyway.-

-Kaguya chains a Calm Mind into a Shadow Ball she spits at Marilyn-

-Nico and Melman keep a lookout for where Bedlam will attempt to strike-

-Jones is unable to take the Discharge paired with Earthquake, even if Doopliss' attacks are a bit weaker, and faints-

-Slightly is able to take the attacks fine, though-

Slightly: <You're gonna get it now!>

-He tries attacking Marilyn with yet another Feint Attack-

   Palace of Shadow   

-Doopliss is knocked down to about half health-

Grubba!Doopliss: <Grr... this just isn't enough!>

-He roars, transforming again into a more ghostly, draconic shape-

Penumbra!Doopliss: <   Ahh! This is more like it!   >

-He fires several Shadow Balls around the arena, hitting whoever he can. Once again, they're weaker than the original's, but still stronger than his attacks as Grubba.-

-Meanwhile, Beldam strikes just under Vivian-

Vivian: <Aah!>

Beldam: <You don't deserve to even see our plan go through!>

Vivian: <You don't scare me anymore, sis!>

-Vivian uses Flamethrower on Beldam, but she already retreats again-

Vivian: <Aah...>

-Marilyn Charges her next attack after receiving all the other attacks, getting noticeably weaker.-

-Upon Doopliss turning into Penumbra, Arika freezes in shock as intense memories from long ago play all over again in her mind...-

-...Before she adopts a stern expression and recalls George, sending out Tiana the Greninja and Friedrich the Crawdaunt-

Arika: Freidrich? Dragon Dance into Crunch. Tiana? Dart around that thing and fire Dark Pulses to keep it occupied.

Friedrich: <This will only hurt a second! Well, not really.>

-Makes strange wiggly movements to charge himself up then infuses his pincers with Obscura and clamps them down on wherever it'd most hurt Penumbra!Doopliss.-

Tiana: <Hey, big bad ghost dragon wannabe! Think fast!>

-Leaps and darts around Penumbra!Doopliss, firing Dark Pulses all the way-

-Kaguya repeats the Calm Mind/Shadow Ball trick while Melman and Nico scan the area psychically to detect Bedlam's next move-

-Flurrie is sent out-

Flurrie: <So, you're the ones who are holding us up, hm?>

<Well, darlings, I simply can not live with that. Especially with what happened with my necklace and that failed bomb attempt.>

-She shoots a Shadow Ball at Doopliss-

Slightly: <Oh no you don't!>

-Fishy and Chirin have plopped themselves down in front of Sholto's laptop-

Chirin: <So... you got a movie?>

Fishy: <Uh, yeah, hold on...>

-He pulls out a DVD of Chirin No Suzu-

-Chirin looks at the cover unsurely-

Chirin: <...What's wrong with that Mareep's face?>

Fishy: <Uh, I think they wanted to make him look more human or something.>

Chirin: <Well, let's see how it is.>

Fishy: <Right...>

-He puts the movie in-

-The movie starts with a melancholic song before the Mareep from the cover appears and plays around a bit-

-Chirin pauses as he hears something in the narration-

Chirin: <...His name's Chirin too?>

Fishy: <Yeah, it it's the name.>

Chirin: <...Maybe it's a more common name than I thought.>

-The movie continues for a bit, showing the Mareep's mother, who looks a lot more like a normal Ampharos warn him about a Manectric, and him get lost and the Mareep's mother search for him-

Chirin: Ngh... I get what he was trying to do, but this movie seems... kind of inane.

-He looks over at Fishy for a bit, who is smiling watching the movie-

Chirin: Well, he seems happy at least.

-He focuses his attention back on the screen-

Chirin: Maybe something will happen to make this more interesting...

-About 30 minutes later the movie ends as a Manectric-esque Ampharos cries out in anguish-

-Fishy is bawling while Chirin just stares at the screen, not sure how to react-

Chirin: <Um... that was... something.>

Fishy: <THAT MOVIE WAS SO DEPRESSING WHY DID I PICK IT>

Chirin: <Uh, yeah, that hit... close to home.>

<...Disturbingly so, in fact.>

Fishy: -sniffs- <Sorry...>

Chirin: <It's fine...>

<Anyway, it's just a movie, right?>

Fishy: <...Maybe, but it was still sad.>

Chirin: <Mm...>

<Well, I guess I can say at least my situation turned out better than that.>

Fishy: <Um... when you said 'close to home'... how much do you mean?>

Chirin: <...Make the Manectric a Mightyena and have it be a different Mightyena who trained him and that's pretty much how I met Dad.>

<...Maybe we should do something to get our minds off of this?>

-Fishy nods-

Chirin: <Right, let's go do something else to see how this'll work out and return the DVD later.>

-The look Alpha gives Hacks is one as if he said something self-evident-

-It's also worth noting that, based on appearance, it would be a fair guess that Alpha is the oldest personmon there by a fair margin-

-He fires off a series of Thunderbolts, trying to hit Tiana with all of them.-

-Meanwhile, Marilyn is hit hard by ~*ANOTHER FEINT☆ATTACK ♡*~ and goes reeling-

Marilyn: <Guhhh...>

Beldam: <Aaaaack! Marilyn! Get up!>

-She scowls and turns toward the group, trying to hit everyone with a Blizzard — including Doopliss-

Penumbra!Doopliss: <   Aah! Hey, watch where you're aiming that thing!   >

Beldam: <Shake it off and fight!>

-Vivian manages to avoid the Blizzard by phasing through the ground-

Near Silas, last night

Lina: Both, actually; I wandered myself for a while before finding the J-Team and sticking with them.

Palace of Shadow

-Tiana manages to get hit by one of the Thunderbolts hard and staggers back, but then leaps up and fires a Dark Pulse at Penumbra's head while Freidrich goes for another Crunch-

-Seeing Marilyn go down, Kaguya turns to Doopliss-

Kaguya: <Trying to ape the Ghost Lord, of all beings? You're pretty pathetic.>

-Chains Calm Mind into Shadow Ball again, but on him this time, though is hit pretty hard by Bedlam's Blizzard-

-Nico and Melman are hit hard by the same Blizzard, but Nico takes advantage of Bedlam exposing herself by swiping with his bladelets while Melman fires another Shadow Ball of his own.-

Palace of Shadow

-Slightly watches Marilyn go down-

Slightly: <Ha! Take that!>

-He and the Razor Claw then begin to glow-

-He grows a bit taller, his feather expands into a crest and frills and he grows a new finger on each hand

-When the light fades, he is a Razor Claw-less Weavile-

Slightly: <Ha! Managed to evolve t->

-He, along with Flurrie, is buffeted by the Blizzard and faints-

Maggie: "...Well, that's poor timing."

-Flurrie talks to her

Flurrie: <...I'm admittedly tempted to deal with her.>

Maggie: "...Let's focus on Doopliss before. Beldam shouldn't be a problem when he's gone."

Flurrie: <Very well, then.>

-She shoots another Shadow Ball at Doopliss-

How dare you Crow, HOW DARE YOU?
