Jacob: -Approaching Sidney's chamber, see's the sand pile-

"... Well that's new."

-He pushes on ahead into Sidney's Chamber-

Pokemon League - Sidney's Room

Jacob: -Looking around- "Huh. Well then."

-The man in the center of the room stands up-

Sidney: "Well well well, welcome to the Pokemon League! It's not every day we get a new challenger. Though lately we have had quite a fe-"

-He pauses as he looks Jacob over, and he narrows his eyes, still grinning, but reclines back in a much less friendly stance-

"You... I recognize you."

Jacob: -Bows- "Jacob Lucretius Tenebris Zalendredo Iridis. Pleasure to see you again Sidney."

Sidney: "... Heh. Heheh!" -He starts laughing-

"Wow! You look at how you've grown up. That jacket actually fits you now."

Jacob: -Nods- "Indeed."

Sidney: "So... what brings you back here? Plan to fight fair this time?"

Jacob: -Nods and smirks- "More than that. I'm here to prove to you all and Steven that I'm ready to be the Champion."

Sidney: "... That's a bold claim, and after hearing the other Gym Leaders talk about it, I think you might be ready. That look in your eyes is different from then it was so many years ago... But... I guess we need to test that."

-He yanks a Pokeball out of his pocket-

"Well then, Jake, let's do this! Get ready for a battle against an unbound Elite Four! The best kinda battle! One only possible here in the Pokemon League!!"

Jacob: -Simply takes a Pokeball off his belt- "I hope you are all prepared. I will show you all the things I've learned since our last match. If you cannot muster all your power, I will leave all five of you buried in my team's wake! Let it begin!!"

"Not just me but my sister and Duke are also looking forward to it. I'll make sure they know about it."

Pokemon League - Sidney's Room

Sidney: "Scrafty, you start!!" -He sends out the Scrafty-

Scrafty: -Hops up and down- <Yoyoyo!! What's going on? I don't know this punk... Who cares?>

Jacob: "Go, Regina!" -He sends out the Gardevoir-

Sidney: "Aaaaah, so you still use her? This should be fun."

Jacob: "We've picked up a few tricks."

Sidney: "Oh really? Scrafty! Poison Jab!!"

Jacob: "Let us see if you can overcome us! Regina! Let's do this!" -He reaches up and grabs his pendant, and presses it-

-She's enveloped in a bright light that causes the charging Scrafty to stop and cover his eyes-

Jacob: "Allow us to teach you this lesson, Sidney." -He closes his eyes as Regina moves on instinct-

Regina: <It's... been so long since I've seen this room. No time to reminisce though.>

-While the Scrafty is disoriented and right in front of her, she unleashes an ear-splitting scream that causes a visible pressure wave-

-The Scrafty reels back, surprised and unprepared, and is knocked out instantly-

Sidney: "What was-"

Jacob: "You prioritize offense over defense, Sidney. You always have. Crushing your enemy with overwhelming force is always a good tactic, but your reckless lack of defense... allow me to show you what happens when you try sputter at a hurricane to try and redirect it."

Sarah: Oh, sweet! Definitely feeling good about my challenge then~

Pokemon League - Sidney's Room

Sidney: "I can always change strategy! Go, Honchkrow!!"

-He recalls Scrafty and sends out a big bird-

Honchkrow: <Heya kid! Have you been taking your vitamins?>

Jacob: "Um-"

Honchkrow: <INDECISION IS PUNISHABLE BY DEATH.>

Jacob: ".... Anyways, Sidney, while that's true, your team is built for this. So while it won't be a walk in the park, I will still show you the price of relying on out-powering your enemy."

Sidney: "Let's see you keep up that smug face when you can't keep up with us! Tailwind!"

Honchkrow: <THE POWER OF RA COMPELS YOU> -Spreads his mighty wings as a wind is picked up from the other side of the field-

Jacob: "Regina, Trick Room."

Regina: -Waves her arm as the room twists and distorts- <Well then. Let us continue, Jacob.>

Sidney: "Tch! Cheap tricks... Honchkrow! Knock that Gardevoir down with a Steel Wing!"

Honchkrow: -Takes flight and soars at Regina- <I SHALL->

Jacob: "Thunderbolt."

Regina: -Snaps her arm at the bird, and it's struck out of the air, skidding behind her and covered in static, and manages to scrape her hip with his iron plated wing- <Sorry, flights canceled.>

Sidney: "Okay buddy come on, get up and try it a second time!!"

-He twitches and staggers to his feet-

Jacob: "Regina, put it down."

Regina: -Clears her throat, and then Hyper Voices again, knocking the Honchkrow out-

Sidney: "...Well damn."

Ever Grande City

Dune: Woo! Go Jacob!

Deziree: Woo!

Pokemon League - Sidney's Room

Sidney: "She seems less powerful than before... interesting. And you're definitely not as intense as you used to be. You've matured."

Jacob: "Indeed."

-He opens his eyes- ".... Hm."

It's faint... but I can see it. I can see the probabilities and courses of events this battle will take. He's going to use something with higher defense to wall Regina. Likely an Umbreon. Then once that's done, try and roflstomp the rest of my team. We will not allow that.

Sidney: "You've got a pretty good fire going, but let's see how long you can keep it! Go, Umbreon!!"

-And he sends out the Umbreon-

"You sure like that Hyper Voice. Well then, go for a Torment!!"

Umbreon: <I'm an adorable Eevee and everyone loves me because we're perfect and cute and useful in battle so I can't be wrong and am factually superior to you!! :3>

Regina: -Eye twitch- <Jacob. I want to crush this one as painfully as possible. May I?>

Jacob: See if you can paralyze it first.

Regina: -Swings her arm out as a flurry of tendrils of power spark and shock the Umbreon-

-It takes a small amount of damage but is otherwise unharmed-

Sidney: "Alright, now Iron Tail!"

Umbreon: <Anything you can do I can do better~> -Prances over to Regina and smacks her with his tail, though she tries twirling away from it, is hit full force and loses a quarter of her health-

Regina: <Nrgghghgh!!! Okay this one is pissing me off.>

Jacob: -Shrugs- "Let your feelings out."

Regina: <WILL YOU SHUT UP YOU STUPID FOX THING>

Umbreon: <GAH SCARY!>

-And the Umbreon fainted-

Jacob: "Huh. I'm a fair bit luckier than usual."

Sidney: "Damn... half my team already... Well. This is were it stops being fun, kid."

Sholto: <Hm... Did Jacob take his Vitamins?>

Ren: -impressed by how one sided Jacob is making the battle- Well Jacob is playing Sydney like a toy piano...

Kitsune: <I was kinda expecting more from Sydney... I always remembered him as being a bit more difficult.>

Rio: <That was before the Fairy-type and Mega Evolution became standard.>

-Team Umbra and some of their mons are watching Jacob's league challenge-

-Notably Robin is pointing out certain elements of Jacob's strategies to Qwerty and Dvorak - who are now a Sliggoo and Grovyle, respectively - and may be approached-

Pokemon League - Sidney's Room

Sidney: "Go! Malamar!"

-And he sends out the squid-

Malamar: <I am a squid. Not a kid.>

Sidney: "Okay so I need to stop you from doing so much damage. Light Screen!"

Malamar: <There is no light.> -Wiggles and sets up a barrier-

Jacob: Hm. Well, can't use Hyper Voice again, and I know what his starter was, and that Key Stone he has... I want to save that last move of hers. And Malamar is less agile than Regina is Mega Evolved, so...

Regina: Thunderbolt?

-Jacob nods-

Regina: <I disagree with that statement, let's light up the night, shall we?> -And she shocks the Malamar with a flurry of electricity, but it doesn't take much damage-

-It is paralyzed though-

Malamar: <You will regret this.>

Sidney: "Alright, now, Night Slash!"

Malamar: <Embrace the terror.> -It whips its tentacles at Regina, and it slashes across her chest- - -She cries out and clutches her chest, taking moderate damage and catching her breath-

Jacob: -To him the whole room fills with TV static for a moment- ".... Hm."

"Now Hyper Voice."

Regina: -She shouts out at the Malamar, knocking it down to half HP-

Sidney: "Ooooh, thinks looking a little rough for you there. Night Slash again."

Malamar: <You cannot escape.> -And it lashes at Regina again-

Regina: -Expecting this, ducks under the tentacles and pummels the squid with electricity again-

Malamar: <You have no hope.> -And it moves to stab her with its tentacles, but twitches up-

Jacob: "Now end it."

Regina: -Nods and screams at the Malamar, knocking it out-

Sidney: "Impressive Iridis... but you're starting to slow down...."

Jacob: "... Hmph."

Sidney: -Shrugs and smirks- "You may not have lost a single Pokemon yet, but mark my words I've made better turnabouts than this!! Return Malamar! Go, Shiftry!"

Shiftry: -Is sent out and dances- <Weheheheheh! I am the forest spirit! Here to ruin your gnomes and kick over your soup bowls!>

Jacob: "Wat."

Regina: -Without waiting, hits the Shiftry with a Thunderbolt, still under the effects of Torment-

Shiftry: -Dances around, taking minimal damage- <Weheheheh! Take this you silly pixie!> -And he hurls a ball of Obscura at her-

-Regina is hit and falls to low health-

Jacob: This is bad... "Regina, Hyper Voice."

-And she again shouts at her enemy-

-He's hit and staggers back, not prepared for it, thinking the Light Screen was still in effect- <Oh... Oh dear...> -And faints-

Sidney: "Well! It's come down to this, then."

Near Robin

-Sliggoo pat-

Joseph: He's growing up nice!

Sidney's Room

Sidney: "Well, let's see you keep up with this, my very best, Jacob! Go, Absol!!"

-And he sends out the Absol, which stretches his head and legs out-

Absol: <Ah, Gardevoir and dark child. It has been a long time.>

Sidney: "Now let's show em what we can do! Mega Evolve!!"

-He presses down his Keystone and the Absol is enveloped in light!-

Sidney: "We'll crush her in one blow! Absol, Swords Dance!"

Absol: <I will dignify you with the swiftest of defeats.> -And it prances around and poses majestically, it's strength boosted.>

Jacob: "Absol like you... are just what we needed. Regina, Heal Pulse!"

Sidney: "Why ar- OH!"

Regina: -Her breast-crest glows with power as she fires a beam of healing at the Absol-

-Which is promptly reflected by it's magical barrier back at her-

-And she recovers half her HP-

Regina: <Thank you~>

Absol: <... I take back the dignified defeat part.>

Sidney: "Full force! Shadow Claw!!"

Regina: -She leaps back, but the Absol is quicker, and swipes at her, though she manages to lean away from the full swipe, she takes a glancing blow-

-Which is still strong enough to knock her down to the last quarter of her health-

-She retaliates with a point-blank Hyper Voice, that sends the Absol to the opposite end of the room-

Absol: <Tch... dodge this!> -And it flash-steps at and behind Regina-

Regina: -Pauses for a moment before collapsing to her knees- <Ugh... g-good job...>

-She collapses, knocked out-

Sidney: "WHOO! Great going bud!"

Jacob: -Recalls Regina-

-And smirks-

Near Joseph

Qwerty: -is pat- <Er, thanks?>

Robin: -slight face flush- Oh, hello, Joseph. He's been doing well.

-Glances over to Dvorak-

So's the other one you gave me.

-Dvorak, at the moment, has wires hooked up from the screens displaying Jacob's challenge to an Ipad-like device in his claws, jotting down notes furiously on said device at the same time-

...He's surprisingly tech-savvy for his age, especially being a Grass-type.

-Joseph resists the urge to go >:3, simply looking over to Dvorak and gasping-

Joseph: Eeeee lookit the tech savvy cutie! :D

Maggie: "Well... anyone who'd be fine going on their own would be good, as long as we have a way of reuniting when it's time to come back."

Jacob: "Congratulations, you've proven me wrong. It appears Regina can't out power you."

Sidney: "Well, it was pretty impressive, but good try kid, come back next ti-"

Jacob: "Let's see you hold up to the other five."

"Go, Discord!"

-He sends out the Tyranitar, and a sandstorm whips up-

Discord: <AHAHAHAH! THE MIGHTY SIDNEY! HELLO! AND HI ABSOL! .... Alright let's get serious, Imma crush every mon in this room.>

Absol: -Struggling against the sandstorm- <Oh? I'd like to see you try.>

Discord: -Takes on the most ridiculous fighting pose- <VEEEEERY WELL.>

Jacob: "Power Up Punch."

Discord: <Take this, THE STORM OF MY LOYALTYYYYY> -He rushes at the Absol, flailing his tiny arms-

-He is too bewildered to move and is struck, and faints-

Sidney: "...."

"Heh... heh heh... AHAHAHAH! WOW kid. Wow. You... you meant it when you said you'd changed. Whelp. That's all for me, go on ahead and see the others. I bet they're just aching to say hello."

Jacob: -He nods- "Thank you, Sidney."

-He recalls Discord, interrupting his glorious victorious grunts and flexes, and moves on-

Dvorak: -turns to Robin- <Oh, hi! I'm recording and livestreaming this battle while taking strategy notes for Robin!>

Jacob: "Indeed it has. You'll forgive me for not trying to dance with you this time."

Phoebe: "Awwww but that was so cute seeing your little child self trying to dance along with me! But okay."

"Sidney called ahead, apparently you've gotten REALLY tough~ I'm interested though... if I don't hold back... will you still make it past me?"

Jacob: -Shrugs- "Only one way to find out." -He readies a Pokeball-
