Guy's an incredibly dangerous psychic, and I've only managed to beat him most times because he underestimated me. That's not happening again, he'll come with his true power, even if it will kill him 11 years from now. Which is cold comfort to us in the present.

Muddy: <In that future, Steel, Draca, and I all died that night, among others. According to Salvador, the future he came to the present to change was absolutely horrible.>

So yeah. I mean, aside from some background information, I don't know much."

-Looks at Dezi- "... To be honest, I don't know. It was six years ago, about, and I don't think those existed way back when."

Jacob: "I'd kind of like an explanation as well."

Deziree: Oooooooooh I need to do some testing...

Dune: Wait, with who? The only people we know who can use Gates are hostile...

Human!Ammy: -to Muddy- ...Noted. All the more reason to fully prevent it.

Lina: -to Tagg- That bastard can use the Gates?! He was tough enough for me and Arika and our mons with his base powers!

Arika: ...OK, after that definitely need to know what these things are.

Umbra: I might as well be the one to explain...

The Gates are a way for those on the Auric spectrum as well as mons that can use such powers to tap into the hidden potential of their powers and give said powers huge increases in magnitude. However, even basic usage of them is so extremely dangerous and laden with nasty side effects they're practically forbidden techniques. Even as the Ghost Lord I never thought once about trying to use them considering how dangerous they are, even against Ammy.

Human!Ammy: Glad you didn't; that fight was hectic enough.

Lina: The Gates also requires a sufficient state of "enlightenment" to pull off... Which leaves me wondering how the psychic psycho can use them.

Vierr: ...I... see. Well, what side effects do they have? Maybe we could take those into consideration to try to make Constantin kill himself.
