Daydre winces as Constantin reveals his eye.

"Ooh...That looked painful.... He looks distracted now, though... Guess.. we should go. Rowan, get in the basket of the bike."

<What?!>

"Get in and use Protect."

<O-oh.. Okay.>

Rowan clambers into the bike basket and begins to use Protect. Daydre turns to Pent.

"Can you protect yourself?"

Floaroma Meadow

Jacob: -Smiles- "I know." -He leans over again and gives her another small kiss-

"... Sorry if I'm doing that too much you can just tell me to stop I'm just not used to this and-"

-He stops and takes a deep breath- "And I'm going to relax and enjoy myself with the prettiest, smartest, most fun girl I know."

-Pulls out his own box lunch, and unwraps it for a variety of foods, a sandwich, some rice, some sushi, some [Italian] cuisine, and a menagerie of other bite-sized taste testers of different cultural origins-

-He pops the cap off his bottle of soda and takes a sip-

-As it turns out, he is sitting on his bed and fairly wrapped up in String Shot after a confusing run in with some Caterpie-

-There is another pause as texts are read-

-Upon seeing Constantin's eye, Sarah goes sickly pale and shuts her own eyes-

Sarah: okay nevermind let's just leave

-She clings to Daydre tightly, burying her face in her shoulder as if it somehow blocked the image from her mind-

"You're way too flattering, Jacob." she giggles "I like the kisses though."

??? — Now

-Yep, we're out of here.

-Pent slips back into the shadows-

Jacob: -Smiles, chuckles a little, and leans over yet again and lightly presses his lips to her forehead, the bridge of her nose, and her cheek- "Then I am happy to provide. And I-" -He pauses for a moment, gesturing to himself with one hand-

"I don't think it counts as flattery if it's all true. But maybe that's just me."

NFB, Past

Daydre nods to Pent, before peddling as fast as a bike holding an extra person and mon will allow. Rowan uses Protect the whole way.

Even after they're past the battle, Daydre continues to peddle as fast as she can. It seems as though the eye gouge scared her...

"Whatever you say. Today was so fun though." she giggled.

Jacob: -Smiles- "It really was."

"..."

"You had the beret thing planned from the start, didn't you?"

"I'm good at improvising~"

Jacob: -Laughs- "Okay, yeah, you really are."

-He looks around- "Floaroma... huh? This is really peaceful. I could learn to like it here. I should come back to Sinnoh later on..."

"This used to be Lyuri and Sakura's playground, back when they were little kids. It was here where I met Sakura too."

Jacob: -Looking around- "Huh. So... a lot of significance for you and them."

-He nods- "... I can see you being fond of it." -He takes a bite of his food finally-

"It is a pretty nice place. ... You know, despite my interest in you, you never like talking about your past. It's always what you're up to now or how things relate to you know. What was Sakura like when you first met her? What were you like? What were you up to here?"

"Um... The first time I met Sakura was not too long after the accident with her parents. Suffice to say, we didn't meet under the best conditions."

Jacob: "Okay new topic."

"... What were you up to before I pulled you away for all this? Like what were you doing today?"

"Infinite bubble wrap!"

Jacob: -Is immediately laying on his stomach looking up at Hikari with interested eyes- "Essplain."

Solana likewise, absorbs each oncoming spear into her "Tendril" constructs, effectively dyeing part of them red with his blood.

Constantin places his hand back over his damaged eye. Tears mixing with blood.

Constantin: M-mon p-piaf... Why?

Solana: WHY!?

She swings one of her arms back.

Solana: For a whole year I've been lied to and manipulated by YOU! YOU tried to tear my and my boyfriend apart, and when that didn't work, you tried to kill him! Then you go ahead and reform the very organization I hated you slimy, rotten devil!

She swings her construct at him.

Solana: -With tears of her own pricking the corners of her eyes- To think I trusted my life with a scheming, lying, cheating, racist bastard like you!

Right as the whip is about to come crashing down on Cons, Kahina runs forward and uses Detect. Blocking the attack from her master.

Constantin isn't moving.

Kahina: <Master...>

Shaka: <Constantin...>

Faint sobs can be heard echoing through the ruined hall.
