-Mendel glaces at Hertz as he takes back the document from Shade and writes the number shade gave him on the application.-Hertz: I said you thought Shade might be capable of corporate espionage, not that he was conducting corporate espionage.
-Mendel drops it because there has been enough miscommunication already, then takes a couple of picture of Shade.-
Mendel: If I had suspected if you already were conducting corporate espionage I might have had such a dossier. But as you've seen, I merely wanted to plug a leak that Scissors made - which apparently I made worse.
-Mendel scans the document and then sends the pictures of Shade and the scans of the document as attachments to a message to Silent.-

Subject: NDA and Applicant for External Services
Professor Silent, due to an error on my part, I had a person sign a NDA regarding my project. I am fully prepared to accept full responsibility for this.
However, in the ensuing meeting I determined that the person in question would be useful for the project. I will send the a mp3 of the audio recording of the meeting and a transcript within the day.
Please have Human Resources run a thorough background check on the applicant before approving the application - the fact that the applicant offered as much funds for the project as Mr. Clavis did raised a flag for me. I have attached files with scans of his application and pictures. I will fax the application to you within the day.
In the meantime, I am letting the applicant be a temporary and restricted tester.
Mendel: -to Shade- I will contact you on the Second of April regarding getting you a function copy of the program. I hope you have a good evening... -then, as an afterthought- And please do not mention what has happened here until I contact you again.

Near the main road there is a large tree covered in blue and white moss - it is very distinctive and hard to miss. Knock on the trunk before attempting to enter by pressing on the large knot.
This is the location of the current lodgings of Mr. Renard Clavis - the attache I mentioned Previously who approached the PEFE about this project in the first place. I have contacted Mr. Clavis previously, and he knows to expect you.
P.S. Please be courteous when you meet with Mr.Clavis, as he is also the main financial backer of this project.

Last night for whatever reason he was a tiny wind-up toy who was able to speak human. He barged into my room because he was looking for you. He knew you were in one of these rooms so he was going to check every one, but we started talking and whatnot. That's how I know you and Blitz's names. Anyways it was late and I offered to help look with him in the morning. -takes a sec to breathe- Morning comes, I wake up and he's now back to normal. It was sorta hard to communicate since I couldn't understand him at that point, but we were going to go and check each room looking for you, but he's too big to fit through my doorway and is now currently waiting in my room for me to come back either with you and/or Blitz or alone saying that I couldn't find you...

Two days after the inital meeting with Mendel.Shade recieves a text, and he reads it.
(Hmm, Fortree City huh... Thats a ways away from here. I need to run by Norman anyway concerning a Gym Battle. Well I better finish with Flannery here before I go down to see Norman.)
Shade heads to the Lavaridge City Gym. He battles Flannery and wins his badge and tm.
"Ok, I need to go see this man outside Fortree."
Shade releases Falco, and he rides him to Fortree, before heading to before mentioned tree.
Shade enters the tree.
