-Eskay approaches Duke-

Duke looks up at Eskay "Hi Eskay."

Iri Manor

Eskay: I was wondering if you'd be up to starting some of that training we talked about?

Iri Manor

"Oh. Well, sure. Any place in particular you want to train in?"

Iri Manor

Eskay: Well, there's a courtyard not too far from here. We could head over there.

Rustboro Gym

Valorie seemed to peer at Roxanne searchingly, debating the other's tactics. The other must've been testing her to see how she fought. It would be better to keep all her cards hidden so that she could try to surprise the gym leader later.

Haxorus seemed to turn slightly with the hit and stumble back, taking it with a relative ammount of grace, given that her armor hid the bruising she was probably getting taking those hits. <...No.> the armored raptor murmured dismissively. Kabutops' boring disposition was enough to suffocate even bloodlust!

"Haxorus, give it another earthquake!" Valorie ordered, confident in her ability to out-pressure the rock type pokemon. Haxorus once again slammed her tail and one foot against the ground, a shockwave racing out to explosively shatter the earth underneath kabutops.

Iri Manor

"Sounds good to me. It's been a while since I've done any practice as a Lucario, so it's as good of an excuse as any."

Iri Manor

Eskay: All right, then. It's... uh, this way.

-He heads in the direction of the courtyard-

Iri Manor

Duke gets up and follows Eskay.

Courtyard

-Duke and Eskay will find Shinobi sitting in a tree once they get there-

Iri Courtyard

-Eskay comes outside and waves to Shinobi-

Eskay: Hey, uh... "Shinobi", right?

Courtyard

"Hey there Blitz." said Duke.

Iri Courtyard

Shinobi: <Yeah, either works>

-The Were-Greninja hops out of the tree-

Eskay: Hey, uh, we were gonna be doing a little bit of training for a bit.

-He puts on the armband, reverting to a froglike form fairly familiar to Shinobi.-

Eskay Sarashi: <So, er... I guess you're the leader here, Duke.>

Courtyard

"Right."

Duke then takes the armband off, going back to his Lucario form

"<What exactly do you need help with?>"

Rustboro Gym, TS

(As it turns out, this Kabutops is so exceptionally dull that you don't even feel satisfied when they collapse and fall unconscious. There's just a vague sense of relief that they've finally been shut up.)

Roxanne: Excellent work so far, but can you keep it up? Go, Aerodactyl!

(The dactylmon is sent out, and leers snootily at Haxorus.)

Aerodactyl: <Well, well, well! A puny dragon whose Ground-type attacks will be utterly ineffective!>

Rustboro, today

(People may notice a slow trickle of Team Magma members, all wearing old, scuffed uniforms, heading for a certain part of town.)

Iri Courtyard

Shinobi: <Still getting used to being a Croagunk instead of... Uh>

-He rubs the back of his head-

<What were you before?>

Iri Courtyard

Sarashi: <Well, back when I was... sorta training with Shinobi, I pretty much just tested out the few moves I knew in this form.>

-He looks at Shinobi-

Sarashi: <Oh, right. I was a Noctowl. Dunno why, but the universe works in weird ways.>

Route 113, Secret Base

-Phosphora sighs as she takes the bag trash from the Jager's crazy party to the base entrance for disposal later. The Jagers themselves are draped over the furniture in various positions. Oggie has a lamp on his head. No, not a lampshade, an actual lamp.-

Phosphora: I swear, I have no idea how my mother deals with you three...

-She drops the bag of trash at the door and heads over to the couch, where Dimo is sleeping, upside-down. Phosphora gives the Cacturne a nudging kick and takes a seat as the unconscious Grass-Type slumps to the floor with a snore. Phosphora takes a deep breath and slouches.-

Phosphora: Man... I don't think I've ever missed the dweebs quite as much as I do now.

-She wipes her face and leans back as Bolter jumps up onto the couch and lays his head on her lap. She absent-mindedly pets him as she dozes off.-

Iri Manor, Front Door

-There's a knock knock knock on the front door-

SN: H-Hello?

-Biting his lip, Super Nerd pushes his new glasses up, rasping on the door-

SN: -To girl in pink- Queenie, Are you sure there's anyone even here?

-Girl rolls her eyes-

Queenie: I know there is! The guys on my fanfiction site are never wrong!

-Queenie walks up and bangs on the front door-

Queenie: Hello? Hello?! Anyone Home?!

Valorie for one remains blissfuly oblivious. Haxorus is silent as the aerodactyl is sent out, perhaps bummed out by Kabutops apathy. The pokemon's comment however seemed to get her fired up again. <Come to try and scavenge the leftovers? It's no wonder I don't see much of your kind around.> Haxorus mocked, hunkering down in anticipation of something.

"Nice choice." Valorie remarked in approval, considering her options for just a moment longer. A nagging feeling in the back of her head said that this aerodactyl could prove to be trouble to Haxorus, but it wasn't over yet. She had to give it her best shot.

"Haxorus, time to prove your metal! Use outrage!" Valorie commanded, abandoning all pretense of out-threatening aerodactyl and focusing upon dealing as much damage as she could as quickly as she could.

<Here we go!> Haxorus muses aloud. Her body seemed to shudder violently and she suddenly pulled back, a powerful draconic flame aura combusting around her and licking at the immediate area dangerously. With a powerful lunge and a leap she launches herself up at Aerodactyl, twisting her neck back and attempting to cleave the ancient pokemon with the axe upon her head. A trail of draconic flames is left in her wake.
