Ren: -turning to Shiko- I imagine that if Dialga doesn't have some safeguards in place that can send you two back to Terrera when occasions like this happen, I think my friends have a way to contact a Legendary that can pass on a message to Dialga.

Sho: You mean you can contact Legendary Pokemon like Dialga whenever?!

Ren: I can't, but some of my friends can.

Edge: <Well our capital was unassailable. We were built into mountains for goodness sake. We had the high ground and natural defenses. Also Terrera had no fliers and the bedrock was too hard to burrow through.>

It was a hot and windy day on a Terreran plain....

To the west stood the Terreran amassed forces.... led by their Warlord.

To the east stood Cragspur's Warriors. A mere speck compared to Terrera. Because you know population differences. You could see all our faces. See there's me!

-In the memory the soldier standing in the first row of the rank and file lines of the Cragspurian forces breaks out of ranks and waves towards the point of view this is being seen from before returning to their standing serious position-

-No one reacts. Why would they? This happened hundreds of years ago-

-Standing at the Commander's banner is a man, wearing white lamellar armor and sporting a long beard.-

-Standing at the honor guard are a band of six warrior, the youngest standing at the far end.-

Sabaku: "Hey now, I was taller than that! And I didn't stand in the honor guard."

-Oh, uh, okay. Standing, uh...-

Sabaku: "Next to Quares..."

-Right, next to Quares was a familiar figure sporting a pair of Excadrill claws and-

Sabaku: "I didn't get the Excadrill claws until the Great War."

-Jeez, fine! This guy was standing there.-

Sabaku: "I can work with that."

That was Sabaku! He was a pretty cool guy.

<Right then...I think I'll go back to my cabin, cover than damn window, have Senshi Sunny Day me and get some sleep as a human tonight. I'll bother Duke about training tomorrow.>

-He turns back to the group.-

-Shinobi looks around a bit, then turns to Jason-

-Crewe moves her arms to his shoulders and pulls him over on top of her as she rolls off him onto the bed-

Sho: -to Sheila- Are you okay? Do you need to lie down.

Ren: -to Sho- In our line of work, mental lockups like this happen. -kinder, while looking at Sheila- And Sheila is fairly new to these things. Although I admit that I probably dropped a bit too many bombshells too quickly for her to cope with.

-Kitsune walks over to Sheila, and sits in the melting snow.-

Kitsune: <Here, Sheila, just sit on my back. We don't want you to hurt yourself>

Bahamut: -excitedly speaking up- <Shokaki! Ren said that he found the time flowers you gave to Sa.. Saba... Sabu? Sabuko?>

Ren: "Sabaku", Bahamut. Lord Sabaku.

-looking at Sho, in a suddenly cold voice- Both sets of time flowers, actually.

-Sho becomes rather stone-faced for a moment before returning to normal, Shiko is unlikely to miss this exchange.-

Whelp, then my father walked towards the tip of the invisible line that divided the forces

-The tall black haired man dressed in armor styled after a Tyranitar walks towards the Terreran side-

Iranidus: Psssst that was my dad's name!

And then he said something. Something important. "This is important!"

Yes it is.

"Quares! We are prepared to fight you, to the last, if need be."

And we were. We were like a writhing frothing band of barbar-

Iranidius: "No, we weren't."

.... Okay yeah no. We just stood in our straight lines and glared at the enemy with our linked partners ready as we listened

Iranidius: "But... again and again all we gain are more bodies to bury. At this point I am sure even you have seen it! So we stand before you, and we offer you one last chance. Retreat, surrender, or offer up an alternative, but we will not yield our claim up on this land!"

Like myself, my dad was very good at sticking it to the man.

He also carried around a warhammer as big as he was, so it helped make the point.

-Shiela sits down, massaging her temples. Holiday is looking through her bag for a bottle of water.-

-Shush, your part's coming up soon.-

Quares: Ah, yes. A capital idea.

-Quares walks forward, beckoning his apprentice and honor guard, the Dustrunners.-

Snips: Blegh - I hate standing in line. Why'd we get roped into this, again?

Cracker: *Breathy snicker*

Boulder: The Boulder recalls that we would have been branded as bandits if we did not.

The Piloswine in the room was a conventional war would end us both. So... an idea was thrown forward by the Terrerans. And this is where things get [interesting]

-Sho's eyes go very wide.-

Ren: -not coldly, to Sheila- Sheila, I'm sorry your have to hear this, but...

-Ren looks coldly at Sho, and continues with a level voice with the tone akin to that of a prosecutor presenting condemning evidence to a court-

... Did you hear about the discovery of the time flowers that detailed the life and actions of the Warlord Lucanus Cain? And did you know that while the account they contained detailed both Lord Cain's good and bad actions, more emphasis was put on the bad due to the man who had the recordings made?

-Ren pauses to let the words sink in and let Sheila answer as Sho silently prays for some mercy.-
