Dr. Morton-Drake: Fairies, fairies, fairies! We've seen nothing but fairies for months now! I almost miss the days of Dragons almost destroying the stage with their mass.

-His portly face twists in disapproval.-

Mr. Sukizo: It was remarkable!

-A Magneton is sent out-

Clemont: "Use Flash Cannon!"

-The Magneton gathers lustrous energy and shoots it at Egil-

(Vattenfallet's expression softens.)

-Vierr is in the audience. It was likely Elysia's choice, not his.-

Regina: -After catching her breath, stares at the Magneton for a second when a collection of concentrated mental energy and focus shoots off at the Magneton, causing a ripple in the mist-

Ren -the cameras cutting back to Ren hurriedly- Thank you for those comment judges!

*ahem* Now, the next contestant is...

-Ren goes on to introduce several contestants whose mon's appeals vary in quality earn extremely low scores to extremely high scores.-

Ren: -raising his eyebrows- Oh! *ahem* The next contestant is also a new coordinator, this only being his second contest. Please welcome Joseph Hudson and his partner Lilligant, Scarlett! Scarlett will be performing a Beauty and cool appeal using Quiver Dance, Petal Dance, Swords Dance, and Sunny Day.

-Ren applauds more enthusiastically this time as he exits the stage.-

-The Magneton is struck by the Focus Blast, barely hanging on-

Clemont: "Use Magnet Bomb!"

-The Magneton sends an unavoidable steel ball at Regina-

Regina: -Is struck, makes a quite screech of pain and falls to very low health-

Jacob: -Leers at Clemont-

"Psychic."

Regina: <....... Right...> -Unleashes a blast of Psychic energy on the Magneton-

Lumiose Gym

-The Magneton is unable to withstand the attack and faints-

-Clemont recalls it and sends out an Emolga-

Clemont: "Just a bit more, Emolga. Use Thunderbolt!"

-The Emolga sends out a blast of lightning at Regina-

-To myself-

This is Herbert's fault, he did this to you. He can't be allowed to continue acting the way he does...

-DS might feel anger emanating from my person-

Regina: -Barely avoids the Thunderbolt, taking minimal damage from some wayward static and sparks from the blast-

Jacob: "Wish."

Regina: -Closes her eyes and prays-

Parfum Palace, before the appeal

-Joseph is hugging Scarlett, who is shaking-

Scarlett: <What if I mess up I've never been in front of so many people before oh no!>

Joseph: Ssshh, ssshh, it's fine. You've never disappointed me before, and I doubt you ever will, Scarlett.

-the Lilligant nods, and trainer and Pokemon walk out-

-Scarlett takes center stage. In contrast to the Lilligant rattled with stage fright only a moment earlier, she is all smiles (insofar as one can be without a large mouth). The music begins-contrasting the ethereal harp of Mimmy's appeal, an energetic, fast tempo song-

-Scarlett immediately begins to move. Nimbly, she steps about the stage (all the more impressive considering the lack of long legs), her confidence building. This dance, while energetic and fast paced, is still decidedly graceful and intricate. After a while of this dynamic dance, she begins to Quiver Dance in place, spinning rapidly like a top. The Speed boosts from the Quiver Dance build, and soon she appears as a green blur before stopping suddenly to beam at the audience-

-with even more vim and vigor thanks to the Quiver Dance, she dances across the stage, pirouette after pirouette executed with style and beauty. After that series, she performs a quick series of energetic slashes with her leaf hands, using Swords Dance. Using every inch of her body, she dances quickly and beautifully-

-Scarlett pauses to spin, like she did with the Quiver Dance, and she surrounds herself with a rainbow of petals, which dance all around her. At the end, with the music building, she stops and summons a ray of sun to cover the stage, posing dynamically-

Clemont: "Quick, Emolga, Aerial Ace!"

-The Emolga goes for Regina with an unavoidable aerial slash-
