“Sounds good to me!” Tec nods before pushing the doors open and walking outside.

Gateon Hospital

Goodnight Crewe.

-He exits Crewe's room after checking to make sure nobody's around. As he leaves, the receptionist raises an eyebrow-

Receptionist:...Hey, didn't that guy come in hours ago? What was he doing that made him stay so long...?

-Joseph is walking through Gateon, followed by his mons-

Human!Chrome: I went with Lina once but that was a long time ago... It's probably changed a lot.

Nathan comes by a familiar trainer.

Nathan: "Hey, I've seen you around. Can't remember the name... Joseph!"

-he looks surprised-

Yes! And you were Nathan. You were the one who got into that argument with my boyfriend over an armband!

It's okay, though.

Sophia: <He was a real piece of work he was. Why was he so insistent on getting it?>

Nathan: "I'd like to know too. wanting a powerful trinket for his personal use and not even stating any reason to hand it over."

I don't really know. It's not terribly important. Besides, he's quite nice.

Well first up is Scarlett she's a Lilligant and very pretty she dances and here is her girlfriend and all around friend Nightshade the Roserade she likes battle and here's Lady Black she's a Chandelure and she's really nice and motherly and then there's Florence the Milotic she's really calm and serious and Phoenix's is also he's a Lucario by the way then Margaret the Gothitelle likes to read and stay off with Florence and Morrigan's a Houndoom who's like Lady except more pyromaniac-y and then I have Wolvie who's an adorable little Zangoose and here's Henry and Aida a Cinccino and a Maractus and he's dandy and she's strange and Belial is Morrigan's husband he's a bit henpecked but he's strong he's an Arcanine and Makoto the Jolteon is a little violent but she likes me and then there's Rogue the Weavile he giggles a lot and Luciano the shiny Altaria sings a lot and here's Merasmus and Catherine the Alakazam and Froslass they're strange and teleporty and here's Lucian and Captain and Hsien-Ko they're a Gallade and Blaziken and an Infernape they punch and kick things and then Chun-Li is a Mienshao that's vengeful and here's Ripley and Newt they're both Weaviles and they steal things and here's Neptune the Vaporeon he's quiet and adorable and here's Hildegarde the Drifloon she's a Shadow but I'm purifying her.

-takes a deep breath-

Nathan took a second to comprehend. He looked toward Sophia.

Nathan: "Did you catch any of that...?

Sophia: <...No. Perhaps we should inquire their names on a case by case basis?>

Nathan: "Agreed." Nathan looked at Joseph again. "I never got why you're so sickeningly upbeat all the times I've seen you."

-Joseph takes slight offense-

I resent that! I am not sickeningly upbeat (hic), I am simply cheerful! I've met some real miseryguts in my time (hic), and I can assure you that this is better than that!

Gateon Pokemon Center, Herbert's Room

-Herbert is lying on the bed in his room, quietly stewing to himself.-

Herbert: ...a freaking mass-murderer, for Arceus' sake, since when did we welcome those into the group with open arms and brotherly love? Lyuri was bad enough, but now we're-

-He is interrupted by the door swinging open and Maul walking in.-

Maul: ~Hello again. I have something to show you.~

Herbert: Oh? What is-

-Maul cuts Herbert off by psychically broadcasting images of Straw and Crewe's visit to Bell Tower.-

Herbert: Gah! What are you - Why are you showing me this?

Maul: ~To cheer you up.~

Herbert: Well, I'm not watching! Not paying attention! Lalalala - SEE SHE GIGGLED IT'S NOT REALLY HER! Stop lying to me, Maul!

Maul: ~I never lie. Except when I do.~

Somewhere in Orre

-Titan is sitting in his new office, now in a quite different uniform to his Cipher armour or his usual suit, and is currently examining the picture on his desk when a woman walks into the room, wearing a modified version of one of Team Galactic's spacesuits and muttering to herself. Her formerly-blonde hair has been dyed a turquoise blue, but her distinctive facial scars make her instantly recognisable.-

Aelia: ...stupid new uniforms, they look utterly ridiculous... no pockets, either... Sir, I have the situation report you asked for.

-Titan looks up, as does Omega, who is busy burning the contents of the waste paper bin.-

Titan: Oh? Excellent work, Commander Io.

-He takes the report from her and starts reading.-

Aelia Io: We currently have about a dozen personnel on hand, Unfortunately, Cipher's Operations HQ at Citadark Isle was destroyed in the conflict. We were able to salvage several items of interest from the R&D HQ, including some of the powered armour schematics. Engineering's not my field, though, so you're going to have to find someone else if you want to replicate them.

Titan: ...I see. And what of the formula we were attempting to synthesise before my lab was attacked?

Io: Still no progress on that front. The genetic code has proved resistant to all my attempts to reverse-engineer it. We're going to need more information about what exactly is up with our sample before we can do anything useful with it.

Titan: Perhaps that much is for the best. Nothing good came of the last occasion when such a formula was put to use... yet our research into the matter should continue regardless. If nothing else, it is a contingency plan.

-Io tries to smirk, but as always, her scars distort her expression.-

Io: Sir, you know I don't need an excuse to meddle with this kind of thing. Just seeing what happens is reason enough.

Titan: Evidently so.

-He thinks for a moment, drumming his fingers together.-

Titan: ...In any case, I do believe it is time to begin establishing ourselves in Orre, and fill the power vacuum left by Cipher's downfall.

Io: Sir?

Titan: For the first time in years, I find myself in a position where I possess both the resources and the freedom to pursue my agenda without being bound by restraints or limitations. I want you to spread the word. Ensure that the message is discreet at first, that it reaches only the ears we wish to hear it. It would not do to have our operations here cut short before they have even begun. I care not for the method used - I only ask that our message reaches throughout the region.

-He stands up, the "G" badge on his chest catching the light as he does.-

Titan: We are Neo-Galactic. And we are recruiting.
