Titan: ...I will not deny that former Cipher members make up the largest pool of potential recruits. And a certain streak of ruthlessness is a trait that will often be called upon in this line of work. I have no intentions of stooping to Cipher's level, however.

Maggie: "I mean back when he was doing stuff like hitting on me one moment to completely flipping around when he found out I was in training to become a PEFE Intern."

"Though I suppose that probably won't happen to the degree it did again, so yeah. Hope Tagg, he, and the others are back to normal soon."

Gateon Center, Crow's Room

Crow: "Well, that's good at least..."

"But I don't think I could be as ruthless as you'd want me to be. I'm in this bad of a mood because I tried being ruthless when I shouldn't have been."

Anyway....yeah, it's our anniversary today. Not exactly the best timing I suppose, considering we both almost died yesterday, and you're injured.

Well if I could get out of here, I could use the machine in the Center and be all better! Besides, I can walk. I'll be fine. We can do stuff. Tagg said we could use the Rainbow Wing, so if he gets here, we can borrow someone's teleporter and go to the Bell Tower.

-grabs Crewe's bag and passes it to her-

So...aside from all the injuries, how did everything else go? Hopefully better than how it did for me...

Maggie: "...Mostly just wondering where we're going to be going next."

Gateon Center, Crow's Room

Crow: "Well..."

"Back in Operations, after failing to capture Alexiel, I finally had a confrontation with Verax. I left him paralyzed and with two bullets in his legs and unless he figured out a way to get out of there before it exploded, he's probably dead now."

"But... before then, he was trying to convince me he had helped Tagg and DS find Tokarev and wanted to join us. I didn't believe him, even when I felt his regret. I lied to myself so I wouldn't help him."

"People on the team have taken lives before, but those people have mostly deserved it. I killed someone who was asking for forgiveness, and before this, I considered myself overly forgiving of people..."

-Crewe rummages around in her bag and quickly pulls out Clockwise's ball, recalling him-

There. Now he can't tell on us when I sneak out. He needed sleep, anyway.

Things went pretty well, all things considered. There are at least five Shadows that we actually fought, and who knows how many in the balls Clockwise stole from the peons. Plus, besides Earthquake damage in the streets and lots of spikes that need to be cleaned up, there's barely any property damage.

-she gives him a concerned look and reaches up to touch his arm-

Why? What happened to you?

Maggie: "Ah."

"Well, it'll probably be decided soon enough, once everyone's ready."

-Crow's phone goes silent for another moment before Titan responds.-

Titan: ...Considering Verax's past treatment of you, not to mention that he was an unrepentant sadist during the time that I knew him, I would say that you were entirely justified in your actions.

Sakura and Duke are in the lobby, chatting with each other

"It's true." said Duke, sighing

"... I can't believe he would do that, Hikari and Rillianne won't take those news very well..." said Sakura

"I know, but I just wanted you to know what happened there so you don't get lost. I'm going to get something for me to eat."

Duke then enters the kitchen and sees Herbert there

"Hey Herbert, Bishop"

-Joseph enters the Center-

Well, for starters I almost got Boombursted off the base by Jet...and then he killed Taylor when she had just repented. I just came back from burying her.

Gateon Center, Crow's Room

Crow: "If he were anything like he was before when I ran into him, I'd agree. And I was ready to do far worse to him."

"But, how he was then, and how I reacted... just... ugh..."

-Herbert glances over at Duke as he comes in, and Bishop gives a nod of acknowledgement.-

Bishop: <Good morning.>

Herbert: Hey.

-He turns his attention back to his baking.-
