-Boatman just stares at the ground.-

-Straw hears Crewe through the door, and gets closer, catching some bits of what she's saying-

Who is she talking to...? And why does she sound like she's about to cry...?

-The Sunkern is knocked out immediately by Ferid's Ice Beam.-

Alice: Well, I cannot say that I expected any more from her... Belladonna, fill the gap! Use Sludge Bomb on the Ludicolo!

-She sends out Belladonna, who promptly obliges and does exactly as she's told.-

Relic Forest

-What little composure there was in Titan's voice breaks.-

Titan: Because I would only serve to damage you further. Were it not for me, you would likely have regained your memories by now, recovered from this traumatic ordeal... but no, I chose to keep you like this. Chose to keep you as nothing more than an subservient slave deprived of free will. I was the one who first denied you the truth and began threading an intricate web of lies, the one who turned you into a weapon to be used against your friends and allies. You gave me your trust, and I betrayed it... I lied to you, manipulated you, used you. As much as I would like to delude myself otherwise, any desire you have to return here is nothing more than the byproduct of my indoctrination...

-He buries his head in his hands.-

Titan: Please, Crewe... all I ask is that you stay with them. Both for my sake, and for yours...

-Sighs and looks up- "........... Is it alright? Is it alright that I said I'd give them all up just to have her back.... that I'd betray them all to Cipher if it'd bring her back to me...?"

Hoenn Pokémon League - Champion's Room

-The boy is standing next to his Gardevoir, and shakes as at last the Metagross that came within an inch of knocking out Regina stumbles forward and finally collapses-

Jacob: ".... We did it.... WE DIDITWEDIDITWEDIDIIIIIIIIT!" -Rushes and jumps at Regina who laughs and catches him before spinning him around amd setting him down-

".... We did it..." -He's smiling brightly-

Regina: -Breathing heavily- <I-I told you... we would Jacob...>

-The two are interupted by the blue haired man they just beat, and are brought back into the Hall of Fame-

Slateport - Days After

Jacob: -Is walking to the shore with Regina, the coat still dragging along behind him and his hands hidden in the sleeves-

-What he didn't hear were the murmurs of people around him-

"Isn't that the kid who solo'd the whole League...? Beat the whole League challenge in a week with just a Gardevoir?"

"Yeah, amazing huh! Such a little kid!"

"It's not impressive! No one can do that!"

"Uh-huh! Roxanne is so tough! A girly thing like that wouldn't ever hold up to her!"

"No one can do that. Rumor has it he threw regulation out the window, knew everyone's teams before fighting them..."

"Cheated? What?"

"Yeah! How else? You think someone can do that fair and square?"

"Well... no. Yeah I guess you're right."

"And also what kind of kid goes around on their own like that? It just doesn't add up, man."

-And so everywhere he went he was alone, regarded with suspicion and avoided, looked at from a distance with curiousity and with judging eyes for doing what should no one should have been able to do and doing so alone-

-Alone always, avoided by people, and not going out of his way to build a team-

Jacob: -Sitting with his legs in the surf, watching the sunset- "....Hey, Regina."

Regina: -Rests her head on her chin, pretending to consider it to further aggravate the boy- <Hmmm....>

Jacob: "Aw that's no fair! You can't just back out of that! You said-"

Regina: -Giggles and cuts him off- <I know I know... Let's see here...> -Looks up as if trying to recall it, as if classifying the feeling by symptoms as if it were a sickness-

<You said it was a warm glowing feeling riiiiiight.... here?> -Shoves Jacob back and he topples over and she flops down next to him-

Jacob: -Nods- "Yup."

Regina: <Aaaaand... let me guess, it was a pleasant feeling? Not good, not great, but not meh? Pleasant.>

Jacob: "Aw you know what it is stop stalling!"

Regina: -Giggles- <Fine fine... well you're smart Jacob, you're the champion! You have to have a guess!>

Jacob: -Takes a thinker pose while laying down- "Hmm...." -Sits himself up-

"Is it.... hmm.... pleasant... warm glow... ..." -Goes beet red-

"Um.... I-I dunno..."

Regina: -Breaks out laughing- <Yes, yes you do~>

-Shoves her shoulder against him playfully-

<And it's perfectly normal. We're family, after all.>

Jacob: "Family..." -Sighs and looks out into the sunset-

-The two look out there for a while-

-After it sets Regina turns to Jacob, thinking he's asleep but is surprised when she finds him looking straight at her-

"Hey Regina... can you promise me something?"

Regina: -Playfully- <Well that depends...>

Jacob: "....." -Spontaneously hugs her-

"Don't ever go away. I don't know what I'd do without you."

Regina: -Smiles and pets Jacob- <I promise, Jacob.>

Jacob: "...... I love you Regina... thanks for always being... right... here..." -The world blurs as he starts falling asleep-

Regina: -Giggles- <I told you, you knew it. .... I... well you know. Shhhhh.... you've had a long day... you need to->

-The memory ends when the boy fell asleep-

Jacob: -Sighs- "...... Maybe. Maybe it is wrong. But... I got her into this. I have to get her out. Someway. I... I'm not allowed to leave her. I will save her."

Shizuka:' "Uhm... No?" Ou O

Phenac Center

-Crewe can only listen in horror as Titan goes on, her breath becoming faster and shallow the entire time. When he's finished, it's the most she can do to choke out any words at all-

B-but... I-I trusted you... I-I thought we could b-be a f-family...

-she starts to sob as she severs the connection and yanks the earpiece of her ear, and continues as she curls up tighter into a ball, burying her face in her knees-

Phenac City

-Ferid is damaged more severely by the Sludge Bomb.-

Ferid: <Ouch. That one did hurt, rawr...>

Reaver: Hmm... Let's... Rain Dance.

Ferid: <Yay~!>

-Ferid summons a heavy rain.-

Phenac — Cafe

Diane: I guess...

-She gets up-

Diane: This... actually really helped. Thank you, Halsey.

-Galvani lays the bracelet on a table. She stares at it.-

Flanagan: <Sum'tin wrong?>

Galvani: <Part of me wants to take this thing apart. Figure out why it doesn't work, or if it even does anything. But part of me is telling me not to, that'd it ruin everything.>

Flanagan: <I say, don' do i'. I' ain' worth th' risk.>

Galvani: <... Okay, I'm definitely not taking this apart now.>

Flanagan: <Tha's where I'd pu' my money.>

Phenac City, with Reaver and Boatman

-Belladonna blinks as Ferid's dance causes rain to start falling around her.-

Belladonna: ~...Seriously? You're going to try and defeat a team full of plants by moistening them? Well then, go right ahead. I see absolutely no way this could go wrong for you.~

Alice: Now use Psyshock, Bella.

-Belladonna nods with all three heads, and batters Ferid with a wave of psychic energy.-

Relic Forest

-Titan is silent for a long while as Crewe cuts off the call.-

Titan: ...So did I, Crewe... so did I...

-He leans against the tree for a while, attempting to compose himself, before heaving himself to his feet and striding off to try and find a suitable campsite somewhere in the forest.-

Phenac City

-Straw knocks on the bathroom door, Crewe's crying coming theough the door-

Crewe...are you okay?

Phenac City - Cafe

Halsey: "........" -Smiles-

"You're welcome, Diane. Hey, let's hope we meet up again." -Her form blurs and becomes that of a gender indeterminate figure in a long hooded cowl with a cloth mask to hide the face-

???: "And I suppose if you really want to know me... call me..."

Wraith: "Wraith." -Backs up and vanishes into a shadow-

Phenac Center

-Crewe goes quiet for a moment as she draws in breath, and her voice is thick as she replies-

N-no! G-go away!

Phenac — Cafe

Diane: ...See you, Wraith.

-She leaves-

Phenac City

-Crow oblivious to what he's been doing, snaps out of the imagine spot-

Crow: "What do you mean?"

Phenac City

Crewe...I can hear you crying. Please open the door...I just want to help you.

Phenac City

Reaver: ...Hm.

-Ferid is hit by the Psyshock.-

Ferid: <...ra...w...r...>

-Ferid faints. Reaver's Crawdaunt switches in.-

Reaver: Naob, Crunch.

Naob: <Krunching.>

-Naob uses Crunch on Belladonna.-

Phenac Center

-there is no response to Straw besides more sobbing-

Phenac City

-Straw eventually forces the door open, and finds Crewe-

Crewe? What's wrong?

-He begins moving cloer to her-

Phenac City, with Reaver and Boatman

-Belladonna is Crunched, but manages to endure the blow.-

Belladonna: ~Guh... okay, I definitely felt that one. Care to wrap this up quickly, Alice?~

Alice: We can certainly try... Wood Hammer, Bella!

-In an all-or-nothing attack, Belladonna charges at Naob and attempts to ram him with all three heads.-

Phenac City, with Crow

-Herbert gestures at Crow rather frantically with one arm, though whether he's trying to point something out or ward Crow away is uncertain.-

Herbert: That... that thing you just did. With the voices. You know, the thing that was creepy as fuck?
