-Crewe is trailing Herbert from the rooftops, keeping slightly behind him but not losing sight of him-

-Thankfully, Herbert isn't looking up. People don't look up much. And as the range of his Aura Sense is only a few metres long even at its strongest, he's completely unaware of the fact that he's being trailed from the rooftops. He is currently idly watching some of the battles at Duel Square, though his attention is clearly elsewhere.-

Psyche has been speaking with Selene to again get her game plan together. She recalls her and walks up to Titan's office with a chessboard. ~Hey, I'm demonstrating my deference as a peon by knocking, but asserting my carelessness by coming in anyway!~ She walks in.

Titan's Lab

-Titan's tone is dry as he answers Psyche.-

Titan: How very courteous of you.

-He raises an eyebrow at the chessboard in her hands.-

Titan: I see you took my earlier offer to heart.

-he teleports them down just behind Herbert, and Crewe recalls him-

"Yep! You play it?" asked Sakura.

-Herbert wheels around upon hearing Crewe, his hand going to his Pokeballs. He narrows his eyes and takes a couple of steps backwards, glancing at the nearby battlers as if to reassure himself.-

Herbert: ...You again, huh? I've barely recovered from our last encounter. Come to see if interrogating me a second time yields better results, have you?

Cipher Key Lair

-Two peons are chatting by their station overseeing a Shadow Pokemon machine-

Peon 1:So, how far do you think Siren's going to make it before she gets replaced?

Peon 2:Well, I say she either gets killed by those guys that chased us out of the Under, or she gets fired due to this place not being—

Siren:Ahem.

-Out of nowhere, Siren appears behind them-

Peon 1:Aw, crap.

Siren:Is there something that you would like to say to me? Or to Snake's Night Slash?

-A Zoroark drops in behind them, his claws already ready to attack-

Peon 2:Nope! Nothing!

-They quickly go to work-

Siren:That's what I thought.

-Straw is examining the Shadow Scyther's shadow gauge-

Hmm...Almost there.

Scyther:Almost where?

Almost ready to purify you.

Scyther:<...Purify...me? I don't understand.>

You will in due time, it's somewhat complicated...

Scyther:<Something about this "purifying" thing seems odd...>

Psyche nods. ~Indeed.~ She sets the board down. ~And I have a bit of a extra challenge. We play while asking each other questions. You have until the other finishes answering the question and asking another to make your move. A bit of... added interest to the puzzle. Every chessmaster must know their opponent, after all.~

-Crewe shrugs-

Not originally. I was bored, and the less time I spend in Odin's company, the better. Straw's in this town, so I came to find him. I thought he might be at the center, but the only one I saw leave it was you. So I decided to follow you. Don't worry, Titan asked me not to hurt you, though I will if you do something stupid like call your friends or send out your Pokemon. So just stay put, all right?

-she crosses her arms-

And I do have a few questions.

-Herbert nods slowly, though he doesn't remove his hand from his Pokeballs.-

Herbert: ...Buy time. Keep her talking. She won't hurt me if I cooperate, since she's mindlessly devoted to Titan when she's like this, so maybe I can stall her long enough for the others to get here...

-He tries to worm around in his bag for his X-Transceiver with his free hand as discreetly as he can.-

Herbert: ...Fair enough. Ask away, then.

Titan's Lab

-Titan gives a small frown, and his eyebrow remains raised.-

Titan: So the goal is to answer your opponent's questions as quickly and concisely as possible. Hence it would therefore be advantageous to phrase your questions in a manner that means they are difficult to answer in such a way, whilst at the same time also being short and concise. Hrm... very well then. White or black?

Psyche smirks at this change in enthusiasm level. ~White. I feel you deserve a chance to ask me a question first.~

-Crewe smirks-

-she drops both the smirk and her arms-

First question. Where's Straw?

-Straw is not near the Pokemon Center, but near the Colosseum and ONBS-

-Herbert, without taking his eyes off Crewe, fiddles with his X-Transceiver in his bag, attempting to call one of his contacts by muscle memory.-

Herbert: I'll tell you what I told you last time. I don't know. And even if I did know, I sure as hell wouldn't tell you.

-Titan nods.-

Titan: To business, then. Is there a reason behind your drive to learn more about your family and lineage?
