Of course, it is important to avoid going so far, as giving in to bloodlust only helps undo any work towards purification that you may have done.>

Bishop: <Yes. Reverse Mode is a state that Shadow Pokemon will sometimes enter during battle... I suppose you could call it a rage state, of sorts. Pokemon in Reverse Mode will often disobey orders, inflict damage on themselves, and refuse items from their trainer. Snapping them out of such a state generally brings them closer to purification, however.>

-That's unlikely, considering that they're in a third floor hotel room with windows that haven't been washed in years.-

-He takes a deep breath, then addresses the Volcarona.-

Bishop: <You were turned into Shadow Pokemon by a crime syndicate known as Cipher. I... I would rather avoid discussing exactly what the process entails, but it prevents you from remembering anything that occurred prior to it, and corrupts your mental state so that you are more aggressive and destructive. To put it simply, you are not in your normal state of mind right now. But there is a way of reversing this process. It is known as purification. It is not something that happens instantly, however. Before it can occur, your trainers have to lower your Shadow gauge. They can do this by showing you affection, giving you massages, allowing you to battle, simply walking around with you, and so on and so forth. The process can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months, but once it is complete, you can be brought to either the Relic Stone or the Purification Chamber and purified for good. At that point, you will regain all of your lost memories and return to your old self. That is hardly a comprehensive explanation, but hopefully it should suffice.>
