I'm ambivalent about this. Dream Works is always hit-or-miss with any of their films, and while Kung Fu Panda was one of their greatest yet, I can't judge how 2 will do right now.
I thought the holiday special was pretty good, surprisingly. So I'm looking forward to this.
I'm not really sure about sequels.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!I can't wait to see what character flaw they'll emphasize so Po will nearly lose his place as the chosen one, only to learn his lesson and come back to prove himself again at the climax.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.lol
What story point will they ignore in the sequel THIS time, boys and girls?
From what I've heard, a major part of the sequel will be about Po dealing with his past, which I presumes means what happened to him before he was adopted by Ping. Dream Works is hit-or-miss for me as well, but I'm willing to give the sequel a chance.

You wouldn't care what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did. From the teaser shown before Megamind, it looks like they went back to square one and it will be about Po in training again (from that horrible trailer, it seems like Po lost all character development in favor of getting cheap laughs).
More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/This is going to suck and be an insult to the first movie until proven innocent.
There's alot of negative posts for a 30 second clip...
I think that it will be good, or at least decent. However, I can't say the same for the other four planed sequels....
GOH! JII! RAH!I wouldn't be interested in this if it weren't for the fact that Jean-Claude Van Damme will be doing a voice.
I've got two guns pointed west and a broken compass.I didn't even watch the trailer.
Apparently, it will be about Po confronting a peacock ruler voiced by Gary Oldman, and will have something to do with his real parents. I can see this becoming another Shrek 2, and probably be just as successful.
I'm going to give this sequel a chance. While I find Dream Works' plans to make five sequels rather contemptible, I don't think they'll necessarily start sucking just yet.
I'm STILL surprised people always take the quality of Dream Works movies based on trailers.
Really now, you'd think people would have learned from Kung Fu Panda itself. Hell, they might have caught it in Monsters Vs Aliens, or even How To Train Your Dragon. But surely, the trailer of Mega Mind should have been a good indication on Never Trust a Trailer.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life.If you check the official site (contains spoilers), you can see some of the new characters and story hints, all of which sound quite promising, especially Lord Shen's story.
The Koopa the world forgot.s long as Po retains his ass-kicking abilities I have confidence in the sequel.
Never trust anyone who uses "degenerate" as an insult.Notice how the Superbowl trailer in this film and even in the Christmas special he is now an excelled fighter? Hell, he killed a boar in a snap.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life.As long as he still uses his girth in battle, I'm good.
.
"That is not dead which can eternal lie, And with strange aeons even death itself may die."That was a pretty good trailer, but I wonder how they'll handle the moral of the story now that Po is fighting side-by-side with the Furious Five.
The first film was nothing but Po trying to earn that place, and now that he has it, what other moral could they teach?
Inspirational quote against powerful image of nature.Forgiveness? The villains here, at least according to the site, have that sort of backstories in them.
Death is a companion. We should cherish Death as we cherish Life.It would also be a nice callback to Tai Lung, who couldn't just forgive.
Fight. Struggle. Endure. Suffer. LIVE.My main problem with Kung Fu Panda is that they wasted a whole lot of potential by not showcasing China's lesser known fauna like the Takin, Tragopan, Finless porpoise, Chinese Alligator (those are crocodiles on the official website), Clouded Leopard, one of the various Civet speices native to China, the Baiji, (I know it's probably extinct, but hey, humans don't exist in the Kung Fu Panda universe) the Chinese sturgeon and the Chinese Paddlefish,
