Do any other PC folk find the excitement over a ROM dump being posted on an e-store that's been online for years now somewhat amusing?
It won't be near as pretty as playing it on the emulator with plugins. But at least it won't have that disc change error than ePSXe does.
While I'm one of the most adamant Copyleft promoters on this site, and even more so, legal emulation. I'm also positive about online distribution and am not even close to supporting the growing mentality that it's a terrible shovelware gimmick that hardcore gamers should be ashamed to use.
If it weren't for this mentality, there wouldn't be so many Wall Banger people who outright oppose all of emulation. Doing more than helping enforce scarcity, but holding technology back. PC elitism in general is doing this. Because it makes console gamers defensive and finding and reason and excuse to say that console gaming is somehow better. Or equal in ways that it's not.

Genkidama for Japan, even if you don't have money, you can help![1]Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those “Buying old games is 4 suckers” types, my complaint is that some people appear to be waiting for PSN or WiiWare before they feel they're allowed to emulate the thing on their system at all. That's a very poor prospect, considering that Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo all upload dumps that haven't been touched since the '80s at a rates of a handful per month, then trumpet it with fanfare that Hollywood would feel absolutely shameful applying to most Blu-Ray releases.
Isn't GOG.com's entire business model based on ROM dumps being posted on an e-store that's been online for two years?
Either way, think of it this way, video gaming has finally found the way to profit from their back catalog that film, books, and music always had. I mean Casablanca has been on VHS, DVD, and Blu-Ray. The Beatles have been on LP and CD, and is now on iTunes. Dracula has been reprinted dozens of times over the years and is now an eBook. Even comic books have reprints of their classic stories. Why should video games be different just because technology improves over time?

Wizard Needs Food BadlyMy PC isn't that high end, so it's not really a good PS 1 emulator. Don't get me wrong, it works, it just has that little bit of slowdown and stuff that make it that much more harder to enjoy.
And I just the idea of playing it portable.
Stargate SG-1 Let's Watch. Because my ZHP thing failed. My only reason for loving the fact that the games are on PSN is the fact that I can play them on my PSP. Being someone who spends more time on the go than at home, this is a big plus for me.
ok how do you play this ?_?
x4: GOG also patches and packages them for modern operating systems so you don't have to mess with things like DOS Box and finding (too many) patches yourself.
Chrono Cross is not Chrono Trigger. This has no bearing on the fact that it is freaking awesome.
