manus more like MAN-us
don't listen to him he's the best boss in the game
he also has more HP than the Big Man at the end, so if you can beat Manus, you can beat the Other Guy.
but before that fight Kappameet and cry to death
And then there was silenceFrom what I understood from my experiences with Artorias, he simply requires strict timing and a lot of patience, since not every attack of his can be punished unless one sports a quick enough weapon. In that vein he's challenging, but less of a hassle than Gargoyles or Pocky & Donut solo.
How do lizards fly?Manus is the easiest and most tedious boss in the game if you're a jerk like me and shoots him with arrows from outside the boss arena.

Call us the fondue team, 'cuz we cheese the shit out of bitches!
It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.I just think that shooting manus ruins the point.
I mean half the reward is the satisfying feeling of killing a big fucking Half monkey ass thing by yourself.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.I hate him man, guy ruined my run completely. It's the magic bull that ruins for me.
Evil Overlord List rules 4 and 40.
Did you use the silver pendant?

It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.Your goal to to defeat giant monsters, not rule the world. In a game you play for entertainment "it's boring to do it that way" is a legitimate complaint.
What part of Kaathe's "Dark Lord" speech did you miss?
Sorry, saw the opportunity, had to take it.
I always kindle the fire, because the "dark" that Kaathe seems to love so much doesn't seem to work out for most people. So actually, my goal is to save the world.
But same concept.
In the words of a great youtube video, "This is Dark Souls, motherfucker! There is no proper etiquette!"

It's kind of funny. Sufficiently advanced stupidity is like sufficiently advanced science; eventually, you find something you can't solve.Do note that I did say that doing things my way is pretty darn tedious.
Sigh.
Is there any sensible way to beat Ceaseless Discharge fairly? I can't cheese it, since I freaked out the first time and couldn't pull off the cheese.
Now I can't even reach the main area before not getting hit at least twice. Once, if it feels merciful.
Also, why its real arm reach is so much bigger than what would that slam imply?
Also, argh. Kings weren't fair, but they were crippingly weak to heavy armor. Manus' attacks can be dodged, with a lot of luck and/or skil, but this?
How do lizards fly?cheesing it isn't really that hard. basically all you have to do is go back to the start of the area and ceaseless should fall to his death.
I've never been able to pull off the cheese strategy, so I had to resort to flailing at its arm whenever it slams it down. There's pretty much nothing you can do to reduce the fire blast damage.
The worst is yet to come. The Demon Ruins and Lost Izalith have to be the worst areas in the game.
"Steel wins battles. Gold wins wars."Cheese has been done. See you in NG+, big lug.
So far it's not that bad. Managed to pull the Chaos Ember out, just barely. Enemies hit like trucks, but they're not that bad otherwise. I am aware of the infamous Bed of Bullshit however. Guess I'll have to go light for it.
There's this treasure on the perch that I don't seem to be able to reach. Do I have to drop from Ceaseless' boss room from there to get it? Doesn't seem to be any other option.
How do lizards fly?the bed of chaos isn't actually HARD, just really annoying and a very underwhelming boss.
they had plans for a more traditional fight but that had to be scrapped.
Well, scratch the not-so-bad part. The fricking centipede thingy ruined my stuff. What a time to get invaded, no?
And I'd pull through it too had it not for some terrible lag. Ugh.
EDIT: Oh alright, so not only they respawn, but there's a four centipede-team just waiting for people to gang-bang them. Wee.

How do lizards fly?I find centipede demon more aggravating than Bo C really.
Centipede demon can kill you before he's even in striking range, which is bull. He takes up a lot of the screen up close too so his moves can be hard to read.
i often forget the centipede demon even exists
him and firesage
And then there was silenceGot invaded by the same guy. This time emerged victorious on account of being a dirty casul and turtling.
The shortcut opened, the Red-Eyed Bug killed. Whee, time to go to Lost Izali-(sees like fifteen Dragon Asses and a Titanite Demon chilling on this very narrow walkway) And I'm out to the Tomb of the Giants.
Meh, I have sunlight, it can't be that ba-(suddenly in a hole with 6 Giant Skeletons)
...to think New Londo and even Duke's Archives(not Crystal Cave though, fuck that place) were fair compared to this.
How do lizards fly?i didn't think crystal caves were that bad, honestly. i fell only like, idk, a couple of times? you can skip past most of the golems and if you just want to get to seath it's not so bad.
I can traverse first two walkways just fine.
But then the third one just... isn't there. I throw prism stones like a little league player, but I don't seem to be able to find more than a couple of initial meters before sliding down and dying like an idiot.
How do lizards fly?to be honest i never really needed the prism stones. just looking at where the snowflakes hit was enough to guide me through.
On the first two, yeah. The third one... is just empty. There's not a single snowflake falling on the path.
Knowing myself I'll probably tackle it the very last. Tomb of the Giants is the next order of business, particularly to regain my stuff after dying and to never ever come back there again.
How do lizards fly?Do you play online? I always see a bunch of messages on the paths so I've never really had trouble walking across them.
"Steel wins battles. Gold wins wars."
if you thought artorias was hard just wait until you get to manus. i fucking hate him, hardest boss in the game imho.
