This thread's for the Spider-Man comics and spin-offs, whether they're decades old or brand new.
- Apart from the main Marvel Universe titles, Ultimate Spider-Man, Spider-Man "What If?" stories, crossovers, guest appearances in other books, Alternate Universe tales and things like Marvel's manga adaptations are all on-topic here.
- Spider-Man 'family' books are on-topic (as are their own crossovers, guest appearances etc.) - e.g. Spider-Man 2099, Miles Morales, Spider-Woman, Silk, Spider-Gwen, Venom, Carnage, Black Cat, Red Goblin and Spider-Verse.
- Characters and comics that originated in Spider-Man but are no longer directly connected to the spider-franchise (e.g. Punisher, Silver Sable) are not on-topic, unless you're discussing historical connections and crossovers. If in doubt, check before you write a long post. If this isn't the right place, there's a more general Marvel Comics thread which covers them.
Technically, Marvel's Infinity Comics (and their predecessors, Infinite Comics) are webcomics, not comic books, but it's fine to talk about their Spider-Man stories here.
Discussions that are only about Spider-Man adaptations in other media (films, video games etc.) are off-topic, but discussing the differences between the adaptations and the original comics is fine - as long as spoilers for the adaptations are tagged.
Please follow the spoiler policy rules - tag spoilers for the latest issues, for any previews or content leaks, and for off-topic comics. When including spoiler tags, try to write so that tropers can make an informed decision before viewing them (e.g. which series and issue will they spoil?).

I'm still waiting for the Gwenvengers.
An Evil Gwen would be a good villain for them.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersThey were a variant cover, like Gwenpool started out as, so who knows...
How about a Gweny Jane Watson?
About a possible reversal of OMD, I have to say I've heard nary a peep from Quesada recently. I think he's still at the company but he hasn't been very public, especially when you compare Didio who acts like he still has his old job for some reason. Granted, the story that only Quesada wanted OMD is a myth, but given that it was basically his vanity project to a degree the he went with it despite its critical and commercial failure, I wonder, is there anything he could potentially do to block a reversal if the other writers and editors wanted one?
Yes good
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI asked Tom Brevoort about the OMD reveal in Spidey/Deadpool. He seemingly had no idea it was allowed in, he assumes it was Kelly's idea but he can't be sure.
Of course he could be lying, because I doubt something as big as referencing that would go unnoticed by the larger group responsible for it, but it is what it is for now.
Isn't that bad because it means he'll probably never show up in the MCU?
So it's over 6 minutes in when he venom blasts the bad guy
It'll be 90 minutes of Miles venomblasting the Spider-Man Rogues Gallery one after another in between scenes of his grandmother being as offensive to the audience as humanly possible.

Miles grandma is a racist?
Not sure, she is horribly abrasive & may be abusive so the idea of her being racist is within the realms of possibility.
Seriously his grandma is fucking insane. Seriously she is a bitch with a capital C.
"I am Alpharius. This is a lie."That sounds hilarious.
I don't know what's going on with Spider-Man or the other Spider people.
Keeping up with Marvel/DC comics is hard.
spider-man is discount tony stark spider-man is dealing with being revealed to be black and his friend being a huge fucking jerk/idiot spider-man is back in his own time fighting the sinister six 2099
Her every other sentence includes "drugs" in some fashion, so you tell me.
I mean, she's worried that her grandson is on drugs and that's why she's mentioning it. I mean, it's stupid, but it's not racist.
Hey everyone, just a quick pessimistic reminder that the Miles Morales thing is nothing but an unsubstantiated rumor, sort of like the unsubstantiated rumors saying Miles was gonna be the official Spider-Man in Civil War.
That being said, having the animated movie star someone besides Peter (or even multiple Spider-People at once) does sound like a good idea, but there are, like, a dozen other Spider-People I'd rather see before Miles. And if they're gonna use Miles, he needs to show up in the MCU proper in live action (preferably with Peter still being alive like in the current comics). Regulating him to only animated movies would just cement his status as "the lesser Spider-Man." The animated movie should probably just stick to a Spider-Person from an alternate reality that's totally incompatible with the MCU, like Spider-Gwen or Spider-Man 2099 or something.
I've got Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash, Spyro, and Paper Mario fanfics.I'd say fuck yeah to the Spider-Gwen movie, but then I remember why I'm writing my own Spider-Gwen rather than reading the comic... I don't like it very much.
But why would animated Spider-Man be "lesser"? Spider-Man has a better track record in animation than in movies (Ultimate Shit-Stain being an exception), with both Animated Series and Spectacular being good solid pieces that aren't in any way "lesser" to the movies. And it's confirmed the animated movie isn't a tie-in to the Ultimate Shit-Stain.
The general public is inevitably going to perceive the live-action movies as the "main" ones. Nobody is considering the Lego Batman movie to be the next major installment in the Batman franchise.
I've got Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash, Spyro, and Paper Mario fanfics.Batman: The Animated Series is a pretty good contender for the "main" one, though.
I mean, we're already not getting Miles in the live-action movie, we know that. We've seen Peter Parker. So why not let Miles be the Spider-Man in the animated film and if the animated film is popular, they'll probably introduce him into the MCU eventually.
I will say though, this coupled with Peter's quip about not liking Red Demons in the first issue in Miles' book is making me feel this is not a coincidence.
Slott's Amazing has been sagging in sales. It's still the best selling non-Star Wars Marvel book, but the editors had to have taken notice of the decline. That plus DC now backtracking on their reboot with Rebirth has me gives me the feeling that they may finally cave.
